pictures from the demonstration in Century City during which Bush raised millions of dollars, Code Pink proved that they rule the world, and I felt so frustrated that I left feeling utterly hopeless. 1st of 2 (apologies for the image quality. it was a throwaway camera)

I wish I had brought my camera with me. I thought there might be some direct action (so I didn't), but I was wrong. I have over a decade of memories of actions at this hotel. Back in the day (the days of ACT UP/Queer Nation) we would have rushed the hotel, scared the shit out of the cops, busted into the fundraiser and gotten trampled by police horses. I don't have bail money anyway....
