Photos of Police Brutality at Anti-Bush Demo

by the eyes of the people Sunday, Jun. 29, 2003 at 10:43 PM

This man was brutally arrested by the LAPD pigs for burning an ameriKKKan flag, which last time I checked, was completely legal. Officer Gilbert (identifiable by his shoes) helped violently pin the man down, then pushed his face into the ground, and after standing up and getting untangled from the man and the other arresting officer, kicks the man, and then stomps on his head. I didn't get a shot of the contact, but frame 10 shows the wind-up to the kick.

When is this shit going to stop?

After I was put in the bus, they made jokes about just running their bus over the crowd of people.

fuck the pigs...

by scarf Wednesday, Jul. 02, 2003 at 9:24 AM

ummm... i befriended this guy on the bus... the pigs suck so much... they were cracking some lameass jokes and stuff... these pictures are great, too, but i wish they had pics of me getting arrested (wow, how egotistical did i just sound...!?!?!?!? HAHAHAHA)... it took ten pigs to bring down a cooperative "arsonist"... one guy slammed my head into the ground 10 times and kept telling me to "shut the fuck up and stop resisting" when in fact, i wasn't resisting and i was being quite peaceable... we are peaceful protesters using art and symbolism to spread our message and the pigs are the ones who escalate the violence... NAUGHTY NAUGHTY PIGGIES...!!!

Scarf, you should have not resisted. Trying to bite an officer, shame, shame on you. You got what you deserved. Next time tell your people to stand up for you and then we would have not been able to take you into custody. Ohhh, you didn't think Police Officers had computers...Hope your head feels better...

Dirty Pig

by Jean Vigo Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 at 5:07 PM

Smith, you don't have to be a pig. There are real jobs here. You can make a healthy contribution to society, instead acting as a destructive force. You don't have to be a guard dog for the rich. Although you aren't the problem(capitalism, imperialism), you protect it.

Baseball bats would be better

by Bush Admirer Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 at 6:28 PM

I think baseball bats would be more effective than those little police batons for controlling street rabble.

It Never Will Stop!

Police brutality in America will never stop, because we live in a 100% POLICE STATE!

VS

by nope Monday, Aug. 11, 2003 at 11:02 AM

People like you define a "Police State" as any form of government. If someone is in authority at all, to you it is a Police State.

Let me fill you in, Vin. If you have to fill out paperwork explaining that you wish to make a trip from San Francisco to Oakland, and you must get written permission from the government weeks in advance to cross the bridge to do so, that's a Police State. That's not the case in the US. Obviously, in such a short forum as this I can't cover all the bases involved with what I am talking about, but that should be enough for you to get the picture.

Suffice it to say that many former citizens of the Soviet Union who have moved to the USA and have become my friends over the years, when describing how it was to live in the USSR, painted just such a scenario of government permission needed for travel. THAT'S a Police State.

nope, nope

by mr wilson Monday, Aug. 11, 2003 at 4:48 PM

People like Vin think that every simple inconvenience to them is the result of a concerted, deliberate attack on them by an all-powerful malevolent government...everything from a parking ticket to an overdue notice from the electric company is part of a plot to bring about their destruction.

Never mind the fact that they are able to freely gather and express their opinions everywhere from the internet to the streets of LA. And they never take personal responsibility for the stupid actions which result in unwanted police attention...no, it's all "the Man" keeping them down.

Sorry, Vin and Scarf...I'm fresh out of sympathy.

Jean Vigo: "Smith, you don't have to be a pig. There are real jobs here. You can make a healthy contribution to society, instead acting as a destructive force. You don't have to be a guard dog for the rich. Although you aren't the problem(capitalism, imperialism), you protect it."

While I fully support your right to have and express your opinion, I reserve the same right for myself.

Man, you're an idiot. You sound like a hippie cliche. You got anything from this decade? Pop quiz: Who are you gonna call when some crack addict breaks into your house or rips off your car? That's right...you're gonna call the pigs. And you know what? They'll show up, and try to solve the crime.

Hypocrite.

Fuck Mexico

by Fuck Mexico Saturday, Sep. 27, 2003 at 1:52 AM

None of that was police brutality. If the dickhead is acting like a fuckhead the police have every right to use full force

I'm fucking stupid

by krankyman Saturday, Sep. 27, 2003 at 5:10 AM

Of course, in my limited viewpoint, the history of the world started with Nazi Germany. I couldn't make any comparisons of modern day events to the Persians or Alexander the Great or Rome if I tried. Just Nazi Germay. Everything can be traced to there.
