Metaphysical Didactical Armor with Biblical-Analogy basis presented in Anarchistic format

by Man Mighty Sunday, Jun. 22, 2003 at 7:55 AM
LA

If I were to tell you a story which held up in many instances and proved useful, while not hindering your efforts at leading a normal sane life... why would you mind? Here is a thought that occurred to me, the latest in my internal discource on Lucifer, Satan, God, Jesus, the fall of man, all that good stuff. I am an bona-fide anarchist, so my sources and assumtions follow that bent--there are law, rules and common sense, but no authority outside of those things. (Laws but no ordained rulers. That kinda thing.) ...enough said here, read on!

So how do I start justifying the title I gave my observation and its thesis here? How do I do so carefully and strongly so as to back it up, and myself who am defined by my words as I am by my actions and deeds? When words have action as their ultimate purpose, they are a very real thing.

I'm on a deadline, so I will tell part of the story. More than enough to make sense. (Gee, gosh, golly--I hope I do!) If I can and if I should, I will publish it as a main article with a complete, thought out list of definitions and similar crap.

Metaphysical means having components which cannot be proven in the real world, cannot be made believable to a materialist. Yet the components would fit into reality as a secret magical mechanism would, if its impact on our thoughts affected our real physical reality.

Didactical means fits into the discourse of didactics, advanced mostly by communist thinkers and Marxist activists alike. Didactics is the study of "what if everything was a physical equation"? Unlike Physics, the development and interpretation of didactics is interested in working with reality on this Earth and modifying it. (A physicist might try to understand it and then describe it with equations, never modifying it on a large scale--not as a part of Physics activity at least.)

Geez, this is all so long! Jesus, can you save me from this? I guess not!

I hope you're all enjoying it, it only gets simpler.

It's armor because it protects you--like an arm covering might. It would be ammunition if you used it to protect yourself with words, as ammunition connotes something delivered.

The Biblical analogy I could call the gospel analogy, as the new testament has succeeded in making the old testament very close to obsolete. My humble opinion: it overrides the old in every useful way. Yay Jesus!

**********

So the new testament is quite simply about the triumph of love. The One True Living God manifested himself to the Jews (apparently), promising a chosen one; the God of the Covenant went from mountaintop where he met Moses and Abraham to the inside of a temple. In teh Holy of Holies the deity which was distant became closer, though hidden behind a curtain and a ceremony which still made it... impractical to be in the prescence of the Arc which God surrounded.

Those raised Christian know the story: Jesus dies, the curtain in the temple tears--God symbolically escapes the confines of one religion and one temple, and comes to live in our hearts. The unmistakeable deity is now present in Love.

I digress: so the new testament basically says "we gotta run on love." When the old testament asks "what about the Law?!?!" The new will say "um... Love is law!" See? It works!

So when the sun of our God comes to live with us, and does a lot of lovin', and dies lovin' us all (he finds excuses like "hey look, they just don't know what they're doing!"

When I say our God, I mean the humans'. If you look at Eastern religion, Buddhism or Taoism acknowledge divinity and sanctity, but it lacks the concrete onenes of Judeo-Christianity. Hinduism acknowledges many Gods--so what happens if they get into fights, as did the Greek deities??? Trouble! It metaphysically--through mythology--sanctions irresolvable differences between people. Tah tah tah!

So our God is one in qualities, like out Earth is one. If you called the Earth-based and dare I say Earth-bound life-force Gaia, then she (SHE) is only one in essence. She ain't gonna disagree with herself. Yet in greek mythology, she was only cousin of somebody, daughter of so-and-so. "So-and-so??" you may say, "she was the daughter of muther-fucking Zeus! If that's the universal cosmic god, then there is biblical analogy! God created Earth, Zeus made Gaia--no diff!" But I say fuck that, Zeus had quasi offspring and nefarious pre-decessors/maybe, and Athena jumped out of his head, and where does that leave Gaia? The God of nature? The one true living God?

So back to the title: didactically, you gotta be on track with reality, and you gotta be able to explain it scientific terms, etc. The Metaphysics gets so obstruse if you accept polytheism, you wouldn't know who you are in a given situation. Confusion arises, and there you are--stuck identifying with one god, fighting against another. Didactically proven, in teh PHYSICAL wars between religions, or the conflicts between adherents of different cosmologies.

Here's a metaphor: "By Zeus!" screams one warrior wielding a gladius, "By Odin!" swears the other, bringing up his battleaxe--and they clash to see who's right.

When you have an ideologically (idologically?) irresolvable way to lead you through social difficulties, then those conflicts, though verbal and not a problem, mushroom or ripple out i nsociety to where armies clash and homeless people go through the cracks.

The sophistication (read: simplicity and applicabillity) of the ideology determines the rate at which people find answers to their problems, big and small. So all of a sudden, if you weren't convinced before, a didactical observer should suddenly pay much more attention to a sweet, smooth metaphysics.

So what does the Bible story offer? Well, it has the particular attribute of being reduceable; I mean, details can be left out with no change in teh story or plot motives. Jesus loves you, no matter why you think he did this or that, or whether he was resurrected.

Who the fuck is Jesus? He came to Earth (don't we all) and played the Messiah whom Judaism was expecting--the Son of God. He played it so well, that even non-believers don't have anything to hold against him except, um, (1) "he didn't solve all our problems and," maybe, (2) "um, couldn't he have taught Peter and Paul to fly? I mean, he was God if only half!"

The use of the Church--as any Religion--against the interests of people and to repress the poor we'll call a happenstance. To absolve Jesus, we'll say they would have used much worse things if he hadn't come--much worse things than "believe in teh power of love in your community." Right? If you can't buy that, and you don't buy that Jesus did good, and you think shit should be held against a healer/teacher who died unbegrudgingly, then you're trying hard to play the devil's advocate.

Don't try so hard. After all, Jesus is a requirement to the coming of God in the people. The Muslim concept of Allah comes in, stage left, at about this time.

It's getting late and I have to go. I'm glad the devil came up. Now by the devil, I mean Satan. He ain't the same as Lucifer. Satan ain't no good. Satan doesn't exist if you don't want him to--and work at it. If we all work at it.

Lucifer, however, is there. Where? Well, in the story. Lucifer gets so fuckin' pissed God is going to breathe Spirit (Soul) into a fucking Mammal, supposedly, that he tells God he shouldn't, God casts him out, and so it goes he falls and lands in hell. (Here on Earth.) There is a battle with armies of angels, they say, there is an angry glance in teh eye of God which sets Lucifer off, and incites him into rage (Hamas?) when God tells him to get the hell gone. Go to hell. Get out. Leave. In the end, Lucifer leaves God. The end, or shall I say the beginning. Fuck, I get all confused.

Lucifer exists, in that time you are evil to someone else, when you are only doing good to you and your own. You don't even think you are doing anything wrong, but even an apology won't fix it when they see Satan in you. When they see pure evil. Now why would they do a thing like that? Why would you do a thing like that?

You are in a hell. Here's these devil-appearing dudes everywhere you look, left and right, cutting you off in traffic. You can see them in every person, potentially.

Now here's a pickle: you meet a tax-paying american citizen, half of whose taxes goes to war and weapons. You've been where american weapons have killed people. Maybe you're Rachel Corrie's parent. Now "what has this fucker done to stop this pattern of violence?" "What will his existence engender?"

If you love, and give him a chance to reshape (from Satan into unwilling/unwitting Lucifer), you fix the Satan problem. But what was Lucifer thinking that God would forgive him--that God knows he will be safe this time around?

You are God, after all. That's what the late Alan Watts said was clearly stated in eastern religion. (and he knew spirituality)

So what justifies Lucifer's jealousy? Once you make your peace with Lucifer (by putting Satan out of the picture), how do you rationally say "he won't do it again," or even, "I won't cause him to do it again?" ???

Well here's the answer to the question. The puzzle is making your own way from the answer to the question, I guess!

God has a dilemma: He exists, really. Lucifer is just a figment of metaphysical imagination. Right? Right. So why would God not understand him? It's all in his own mind, right? Well, the instant God conceived of the human condition (whatever the fuck that is), he immediately learned what "the other side" was like. So Lucifer instantly learned the lessons of the modern Palestinians, the humilations and desperation of having to fight for survival, even against other humans, the difficulty of having doubt which goes unconfirmed and undenied, having to switch back and forth between believing and not-believing--he discovered duality.

But you knew that.

Humanity is the product. Humanity vs. Inhumanity is the struggle. Duality is the pain in the ass muther fucking long dark tunnel we have had to trudge through with temptation and shiny jewels of pleasure along the way to make it longer. Share well!

Gee thanks, Yyyyyooniverse.
