The first "crop circle" of 2003

by UFO Sunday, Apr. 27, 2003 at 4:36 PM

The first "crop circle" of 2003 has arrived. Details here.

The first "Crop Circle" of 2003 has been discovered in England.

There ARE benevolent forces at work on this planet.

You might recall last year's Hollywood movie, "Signs", starring Mel Gibson. That movie used "crop circles" partly as an advertising ploy, as a backdrop for a science fiction "thriller".

This year, I forecast that the major news networks will all but completely ignore the reports of these magnificent creations that we collectively call "crop circles". However, the term really should be "crop attachments".

I think of them as "cosmic email" with an anonymous sender.

Some believe that teams of people are ultimately responsible for all of these strange designs which appear in the fields on England year after year after year.

But others believe, as I do, that in addition to the "hoaxers" that undoubtedly creat a certain number of designs each year, there is something/someone else at work here. Call it a hunch. Call it a suspicion. Call it a hypothesis.

I invite you to decide for yourself, and not let me or anyone else tell you what to think about them.

In all likelihood, this will not make the "evening news" this summer.

See the BEST crop circle of last year, 2002. (It is very interesting and is definately worth a click)http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2002/Crabwood/crabwood2002a.html

Hard work

by Paul King Sunday, Apr. 27, 2003 at 11:05 PM

It seems like really hard work for aliens to travel half way across the Universe with the sole aim of creating some abstract art in a field, somewhere in England.

Perhaps we are not, after all, the only unintelligent life in the Universe.

How comforting!

I invoke...

...Occam's Razor.

The simplest explanation is the most likely.

The answer is a delightful mystery.

by Diogenes Monday, Apr. 28, 2003 at 4:55 AM

While some of the Crop Circles can definitely be traced to the hand of Pranksters. There are too many anomalies associated with those that appear to be the genuine result of an, as yet, unidentified phenomena.

The result of intelligence(s)? Possibly

However the possibility also exists that is a physical a physical phenomena we do not as yet understand. There are many beautiful things in nature with form and symmetry which are not created by the hand of active intelligence. (Whether they were "in the beginning" is another debate.) Take for example the Shell of the Nautilus. It is a perfect expanding curve. You can even write an equation to describe it's form but is a result of the evolution of an animal. Cystals form naturally based on the physical properties of the constituent material.

As for "Space Aliens" creating them that could still be ruled out while allowing for intelligent construction.

Decide for yourself. Lots of observations. Lots of Pictures.

In the meantime enjoy their beauty.

Regardless...

...of their origin, they are indeed lovely.
