Although he wasn't too eager to push for impeachment.
I just hope he doesn't have an 'accident' if he gets a chance for nomination.
Yeah, well, I can understand his logic, and I tend to agree with him. It's definitely not a good political move for him to sponsor the introduction of impeachment articles, and his rationalization about focusing energies on things that can actually get passed/done does have truth.
Back in January, as you know, I was of the opinion that introduction of articles by some congressperson would be a good thing -- if only to bring the issues noted in impeachement articles into greater debate, never mind the fact that in the current climate articles would never be passed. I still think that's a reasonable way of looking at impeachment articles -- as a tactitic. But I can understand where he's coming from, for sure!
I think Kucinich is going to surprise the hell out of the conventional Democratic power players and win the Iowa Caucus. He will be known as the "dark horse" that "came out of no where." The reasons? Among them, Americans are sick of "leaders" that lie in every tenth sentence -- Republican and Democrat alike. No politician meets with 100% agreement with anyone. Kucinich certainly isn't perfect and there are things people on the left will not like. But one thing is clear. The guy is a straight shooter. He just speaks his mind and tells his truth -- and has a vision of what is going on that will ring true with countless Americans. The more people that have a chance just to hear him in speeches, the more traction he'll get, even if they disagree with some of the positions he takes.
From there, who knows........
