more like
K- AAAH - Kee
but anyway. the brits got it from the persian or arabic word. they used to wear khaki shorts in N.Africa durin WWII.
So how does the word change from being K - AAAH - Kee
to Kacky?

every dictionary I checked pronounces it Ka - kee. Short a as in "cat" Who knows? I'll try it the other way for awhile. See how it goes.
