GOOD NEWS FOR SENATOR FEINSTEIN

by War Profiteer Wednesday, Apr. 16, 2003 at 8:12 PM

The firm her husband owns a substantial interest in just won a lucrative U.S. Army contract last week to help President George W. Bush wage his imperialist wars in the Middle East!

Senator Dianne Feinstein's husband, Richard C. Blum,

is a wealthy San Francisco businessman who owns about 200,000 shares of preferred stock in the Perini

Corporation, a Boston-based construction and real

estate development company. {1}

It just so happens to be the case that the Perini Corporation won a huge U.S. Army contract last week to help President George W. Bush wage his imperialist wars in the Middle East!

I bet the wine glasses were clinking at Senator Feinstein's home, weren't they?

Perini rises after company wins Army contract

Boston Business Journal

Shares of Perini Corp., the largest U.S. builder of

hotels and convention centers, rose 40 percent Monday

after the company was awarded a contract by the U.S.

Army.

The shares rose .61 to .60, the highest closing

price in 11 months. They have gained 26 percent this

year. In Tuesday trading, the stock gave back some

gains, slumping 12 cents to close at .48.

Perini won a one-year contract from the U.S. Army

Corps of Engineers to perform design, construction and

maintenance work for Central Command, the Engineers

Corps said Friday. Central Command is in 25 countries

and is commanding the war in Iraq. The contract's

value could be anywhere from 0,000 to 0 million.

"The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers picked us as one of

the three companies to provide services to Centcom,"

Robert Band, Perini's president and chief operating

officer, said. "That's probably one thing that spiked

people's interest."

Washington Group International Inc. and Fluor Corp.

received similar contracts. Engineers Corps

spokeswoman Joan Kibler declined to say last week

where the work would be performed.
