Sadam being evil is widely know...

by Common Man Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 3:41 PM

I don't think anyone will dispute for a second that Sadam is evil, we all know that. I'm glad he's gone.

The tragic thing in the world right now is that a dictator (evil person) is being replaced with an occupying military which has no interest in the local people whatsoever.

We've killed over a thousand civilians. Yes civilians. It's not sensible to say "Well, at least we haven't killed as many as Sadam". That's not a logical argument for war at all.

They both are

by zzz Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 3:49 PM

Of course Saddam is (was) evil- good riddance to him. But any dictators or greedy corporations or thinktanks or presidents that think they can tell the rest of the world how to live are "evil". Unchecked power is evil- power has to be fought no matter where it is. And yes, that includes people who run oil corporations, and the people that help them, who don't give a shit about real people and their lives, their freedom or anything else but their own jobs, money, egos or whatever the fuck they get out of controlling and killing other people. That's evil. It's all over the place, especially here in good old America and it won't go away unless we all make it go away, thank you very much.

logic?

by Actum est de Republica Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 3:53 PM

Daveman is a paid shill. He has sacrificed logic to whine for more centralized power and taxpayer generated handouts from the govt. to the oil barons.

Ignore his pointless quips. They indicate only his selling out of humanity to the plutocracy.

Logic?

by Stop the Bullshit Monday, Apr. 14, 2003 at 4:48 AM

Actum est de Republica , you should review you own logic. Have there ever been any claims that because Saddam has killed more people than we ever would it would be right to go to war? Yes, but then why would it be wrong? In the long run this war will protect more civilians than if the war had not come about. Is the left trying to say that Saddam would not have killed more civilians than coalition forces or what? Oh and by way, stop saying Saddam has no weapons of mass destruction. In other posts those lefties keep saying the US sold Iraq WMDs--so how can he not have WMDs? Because of one President's mistake should another ignore the former's mistake?

logic!

by Actum est de Republica Monday, Apr. 14, 2003 at 6:05 AM

Obviously to shills like the above poster, logic, like civilian body counts, are in the eye of the beholder. But victors justice is always skewed and war is illogical. That is undeniable, regardless of their catatonic rartionalizations.

It is difficult for right wing lunatics to accept logic. That is their fault and our burden. This is a sad thing. It perpetuates the ugly american structure that they seek to export all the world over.

It is a lie.

addendum

by Actum est de Republica Monday, Apr. 14, 2003 at 6:16 AM

Postulate 1: War is wrong when waged against a non-bellegerant adversary, and when it is contrary to UN consensus.

Postulate 2: Iraq did not threaten the US.

Conclusion: The US had nor right in attacking Iraq.

2nd Conclusion (via inference) : The extreme right wing is a death squad aiming to take out key liberties outlined in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

No doubt these conclusions will be attacked by warped corporate cretins aiming to destroy inedependent media, thought, and creativity in the US.

They are powerless

by Pissed Off in Ohio Monday, Apr. 14, 2003 at 7:05 AM

The local shill psyops anyways. Everyone sees them clearly for what they are.

It would be nice if one had the spine to stand up and say "yes we're trying to take shit over, yes pnac is exactly how we plan on doing it, so what" so the matter could be properly discussed.

But i don't see it happening. Its either against one of the rules in their handbook, or the ones without set rules are in the dark or in denial... or just scared to admit it ("but.... they can't all know yet... lets keep pretending, its gotta be fooling someone" - tip: its not guys, everyone knows. Everyone.)

If they could just be honest in intend I think they might be amazed at the response.

Just picture bush stepping out 6 months ago like:

"Good evening America. I'll get right to the point. We are currently the worlds only super power. We have a *tremendous* arsenal rusting away right now. If we don't use it, we're gonna lose it. And opportunity only knocks once, so lets do this thing! I say we start with iraq, grab their oil and establish a toehold on the middle east. From there we'll knock out syria and iran, or otherwise whip them into submission, establish a stranglehold on the world oil supply, and oversee it with help from isreal, then slap some sanctions on china and north korea, bleed them for a few years while we setup shop nice and thoroughly in the middle east. Once we have enough troops there, we'll make a break for the central asia oil, run a pipe to our formerly-iraqi outpost. By this time china should be getting nervous and will eventually attack us, at which time we get the moral justification to actually use all these crazy toys we've been building the last 50 years. And then... we 'liberate' china and help ourselves to a whole new demographic. North korea may try something during that time, who knows. Doesn't matter. If they nuke us, great, if not, great. Either way is good. Just look at how well Sept 11th worked out for us. Well, some of us. If they knock out some of our urban developments (aka 'cities'), hell thats fine its mostly just black people and mexicans living there so who cares anyways... The good ones are already elsewhere fighting our wars for us, hehe. And no matter what they do, they could never defeat us so who cares, the rich people are in absolutely no danger whatsoever."

On second thought, I guess I see why he couldn't just come out and say that. He would have his bong confiscated and would likely be impeached. What an incredibly moronic plan. And all you shills know thats exactly the agenda too. Ugh. It'd be funny if people weren't dieing over the shit. Its like life has turned into some sick version of SNL where occasionally they take out real loaded guns and really kill real people.

What a piss poor president. What a horrible leader.

He should just get a damn playstation. Or a dreamcast. Dreamcasts are the shit.

Could you get ANY more full of yourself?

HA HA HA HA!

I'm not a paid shill. I'm here because it's just so darn much fun to ridicule you guys.

This is a target-rich environment.

Xbox

by Scottie Monday, Apr. 14, 2003 at 9:15 AM

He should get an Xbox cause bill will probably give it to him for free and I ahve a xbox and a playstation in my office and I think the xbox is a little better.. ahhh good old dead or alive..

Speaking of dead or alive..

Are you saying you actually believe that Bush thinks that "Mr Bush and the rich people" are immune to nuclear weapons?
Im a little confused by this liking rich people and yet making them pay for constant wars thing as well.

- and oversee it with help from isreal,
Hmm not sure why we need isreals help.. Why share the spoils of war?

Oh and I dont know if its possible to have effective sanctions on china considering how their economy is merged in with other asian economies.. and even western ones.. I would assume bush understands that also (unless you are saying he will do it gradually over the next 50 years that he will be president for.
