My mother once told me that if you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all. Unfortunately, I have to be honest when I review bands because I have my credibility as a music journalist at stake.

I will start off by saying that lead singer Alicia Vogel is one hot babe; I hope that makes you happy mom. To say that the 80's wannabe tunes penned by Lead Guitarist Ronnie Borchert were severely lacking would be a major understatement. The band only played 2 songs, but for this reviewer that was two too many. While watching this band I felt like Simon from American Idol. I kept thinking that this was quite possibly the worst band in the history of the world.

Lead Singer Alicia Vogel was severellly lacking in vocal range and stage presence, while Lead Guitar Player Ronnie Borchert seemed too consumed by himself to be concerned that he was playing off-key. The Executive Producer of the LA Music Awards should be applauded for attempting to stop this assault on our ears by denying them a third song. Instead, Mr. Borchert cussed out the same man who had earlier given him an award. What an Ingrate!

This band should be sentenced to at least 6 months of rehearsals at Camp X-Ray before even attempting to play live again. At least that way they could assist the CIA by offering audio torture to make those terrorists talk.

I totally agree with your review. I saw Shenanigans at the Hard Rock last month and let me tell you they were really bad. This band sucks.

I haven't heard the group and that may be a good thing, why do you thing they are getting gigs if they are so bad? You haven't heard bad until you hear me sing!

Boy what an experience. I read in All Access Magazine that the Shenanigans were playing a show at The Hard Rock in L.A. I went to see if the review by Norm Lubow was accurate. I'd have to say that Norm Lubow lied. This is the worst band in the history of the universe. The lunk heads at All Access should be sentenced to the Hall of Shame for calling this a showcase series. A shit case series would be a far more accurate description. After following such good quality bands as the Farmers and Second Chance, I was forced to sit through the worst performance I have ever witnessed. I will say one thing, this guy Ronnie Blowfart, I mean Borchert can clear a room quicker that you can say Great White in Rhode Island if you know what I mean. Also I couldn't believe that Mr. Lubow referred to Alicia Vogel as one hot babe. This hideous skank and the word hot definately don't belong in the same world, let alone the same sentence. All in all I'll say one thing, if Sadaam Hussein had listen to this crap, he'd surrender in a secondd.

I am writing this response to the horrid review that Norm Lubow gave the Band Shenanigans. I found it hard to believe that his review was accurate so I went to see a show on August 15, 2003 at the Hard Rock with South Bay Icons The Farmers and Shenanigans.

I couldn't believe my own ears. This band Shenanigans really does suck. And believe you and me, they suck hard. These no talent bozo's were the worst band I've ever heard in my life. Even when I put in the ear plugs, their putrid music still caused me to shake in audio pain. Led by no-talent guitarist Ronnie Borchert, who thinks he looks cool with his shit-stained boxer shorts and hair in a spike that looks like it would make a great toilet bowl cleaner for the tidy bowl man, the Shenanigans reached a new low in the annals of music history. If this band was a horse they'd be put to sleep before their next race. And the nerve of these musical hacks, they had the audacity to delay their appearance so that the one good band on the show, The Farmers, couldn't even play. Lead singer Bill Bowman should bitch slap this Borchert freak for pulling this dirty trick on his band. Long live the Farmers, and Shenanigans eat shit!!!!
