CNN has reportedly severed their ties with NBC reporter Peter Arnett for recent statements that the initial US war plan had been a failure. The first duty of a journalist should be to report the truth, but that apparently does not work well at CNN. CNN had previously fired Arnett for his role in the CNN report on Operation Tailwind. The Tailwind story involved US covert actions in Laos that used nerve agents on US soldiers who had deserted. This story also resulted in the firing of April Oliver and Jack Smith, who had co-produced the story.
