The Receiving End of "Shock and Awe" Part 2
(Images captured from Al-Jazeera this morning.)
Women crushed and filled with shrapnel,
A girl's body's torn asunder,
Babies with head wounds,
Children crying over the destruction
of their families,
Anxious parents rushing loved ones
to emergency rooms,
And not one American reporter in sight,
Not one reporter embedded
with the Iraqi people.
Note: When Iraq's fighters are reduced
to using stone-age tactics against
America's space-age army, the U.S.
accuses Iraq of using "human shields"
and of terrorism.
It is the U.S. forces who are
using "human shields" in Iraq.
After all, it was the U.S. who invaded
Iraq, and it created the dire situation
by surrounding and bombing Iraq's cities.
The U.S. presence in Iraq has forced the
people of Iraq into the crossfire.
When Iraq's fighters are reduced
to using stone-age tactics against
America's space-age army, the U.S.
accuses Iraq of using "human shields"
and of terrorism. Let's face it:
no U.S. invasion-- no 'Human Shields'.
