Fox News Poll

by Whiskey Jack Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 2:46 AM

Fox News Hannity Reports Latest Poll shows 76% of the American public supports US War in Iraq.

This evening on Fox News program "Hannity and Combs" Sean Hannity reported that the latest Fox News Poll shows that 76% of Americans now support the war with Iraq.

This figure has skyrocketed since the war protestors have taken to the streets to demonstrate with violence.

America is united and behind the brave fighting men in their coureageous sacrafice to free the Iraqi people and remove the threat od WMD in the hands of a ruthless dictator.

Thank you America and thank you to the protestors.

it skyrocketed because the troops, not protests

Regardless of your view on protestors or even the war, it's obvious why the polls show the spike. This is the same pattern we've seen happen for 100+ years, and support spikes happen even when there are wars where there are no protestors.

But that's OK. Trolls can be excused for not being too up on history. Why would we expect them to change now?

The poll still shows that 16 to 18 % of Americans are against the war and that means the war is wrong. Piss off WJ

I can tell you from personal experience that while attending Peace demonstrations that the motorists who pass by us (LA Wilshire Federal Building) that the majority give positive signs of supporting the Peace movement. There is NO way that the vast majority support the Iraqi War. If this were so, then the counter pro-war demonstrators would be out there in force. So far, I have seen less than 10 people who support the Iraqi War out on the streets voicing this opinion. The only pro-war movement of any significance that I have seen are SUV drivers, male, 50 years of age and over who give us the finger or yell "fuck you."

The media lies - so what else is new!?!?!?! I would sure like to see the questions that Fox asked to get those results.

...are not being cooked to get the "right result" has brown eyes.

There are a lot of things that can be used to slant a poll:

The way the question is worded. "Have you quit beating your wiff yet or do you support the War?"

The questions that precede it. "Now that we know that all anti-war people are commie, fag, hippies, do you support the War?

Of course it is never done quite that obviously but I know how polls are contructed.

The third alternative, and one at which the Presstitutes are quite adept: LIE.

... most of those people get their "News" from the Mainstream Presstitutes.

When you have near total control of the information people are getting you can "shape" (manipulate) public opinion by making it appear that "everybody with any intelligence" supports the War or whatever. The Pioneer in this field was an American by the name of Edward Bernays.
