US Has No Right To Talk About POW Treatment

by US Worse Than Iraq On This Issue Monday, Mar. 24, 2003 at 9:24 PM

US Has No Right To T...
guantanamo.jpg, image/jpeg, 320x306

The US is trying to blame Iraq for showing prisoners on TV and yet no newspaper, TV station or web site has yet mentioned that the US is still violating the rights of hundreds of Afghan POWs.

New York, January 11, 2002) -- Human Rights Watch questioned Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld´s statement today that captured fighters from Afghanistan shipped to Cuba were “unlawful combatants” not entitled to protection under the Geneva Conventions. Human Rights Watch also criticized the reported use of chain-link cages to confine the detainees.

“The Secretary seems unaware of the requirements of international humanitarian law,” said Jamie Fellner, director of Human Rights Watch´s U.S. Program. “As a party to the Geneva Conventions, the United States is required to treat every detained combatant humanely, including unlawful combatants. The United States may not pick and choose among them to decide who is entitled to decent treatment.”

News reports indicate that Taliban and al-Qaeda detainees will be confined at Guantanamo Bay in small cages with chain-link sides, concrete floors and metal roofs. The cages will offer scant shelter from wind and rain. Details about sanitary and hygiene facilities are not available.

Fucking dumb americans

"we are defending ourselves from future attack"

hahahahah
fucking dumb americans

take communism
divide it by terrorism
and you get uneducated middle class fucking dumbass americans and their paranoia led by old fools who have dry constipated shit that stinks like a motherfucker.

they didnt fuckin learn from vietnam. vietnam was just a civil conflict. they mistook it for a worldwide communist conspiracy. domino theory? what bullshit. communist vietnam later invaded its neighbour to put down a communist uprising.

for god's sake America

the world is not out to get you

they hate your guts for obvious and justifiable reasons
but they have better things to do than bomb you: like enjoying their lives for example. also, they like to make fun of you a lot because americans are so stereotypical and predictable. heheh i always laugh when i see someone driving down the street with an american flag taped to their car holding up dumbass american signs saying "support our troops". such typical meaningless idiotic behaviour. i believe americans refer to it as "patriotism"? well in other countries, patriotism means standing up for the principles that the country is based on. also the world feels sorry for you because to be so blunt... the average jimbob american isn't very bright at all. also, even though its the 21st century, americans still live in houses made of wood.

so let me break it down for you

all you have to worry about at this point is a certain organization called al-qaeda

they actually dont have better things to do than bomb you

so leave saddam alone
and go for osama and his cronies

once you get osama, if you get osama, it would probably be wise to stop funding brutal dictatorships and opposition groups (i.e. mujahideen during soviet invasion of aghanistan) all around the world. so that then people like Osama and (ok let's just say) Saddam won't, in the future, come around and bite you in your ass. then withdraw ur troops from saudi arabia.

like 7up, its "always a better choice"

oh yeah and one more thing

please, give up 60" TVs. instead, buy 52" TVs and put the money you save into your education system because really, you americans are quite fucking dumb. i haven't yet figured out if its ur mental capacity, considering most of you descended from third class peasants, or if its just your poor education system.

either way
i wish you only the best america
in theory, your country is based on some good ideas. why don;t u try to actually make ur country a "land of justice and beacon light of hope and peace". if you are interested in taking that path, let me know, i will be more than willing to help you morally and financially.

lastly, peace
p.s. even tho i make fun of you. i still love you guys. americans are very friendly people. just that they are not very bright. hell... theyre fucking dumbasses.

The amount of swearing you did in that post makes me wonder where you got the audacity to spout off about anyones intelligence. Blandly generalizing middle class America as uneducated and stupid lends to my case against your intelligence. I really love hearing cases against the United States, and I'm not being sarcastic. It's a fucked up country. Hearing a case againt America from a moron such as yourself though, that's not so fun.

I'm American. I'm educated. I don't support the war in Iraq. I agree with a lot of what you said. Now take me, and multiply it by millions. Not all Americans are as you seem to think.

Fuck You

by xxxx Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 10:21 PM

First of all, there is a huge difference in the way Iraqis are treating POWs from the ways Americans are. As seen on TV, Iraqis deliberately kill, torture and embarass american soldiers. The Americans on the other hand, only harm Iraqis if it is in self-defense, and unlike the Iraqis, as seen on TV as well, the Americans have been helping and aiding Iraqi people and treating POWs much more civily regarding the circumstances. All of you people that cannot clearly see the MAJOR [moral] differences between the way Americans and Iraqis treat POWs and are handling this war, should for sure go see a mental health expert or [fuck yourselves in the ass]...use common sense, you will get farther in life.

Disgusted American

by Chad Thursday, Mar. 27, 2003 at 11:26 AM
mnieste@aol.com

It is very depressing and shameful that the country I was formerly so proud to live in and be a citizen of is the real terrorist of the world. My hearts go out to the Iraqi people and innocent civillians that have died and will die at the hands of the Anglo-American regime. When it is all said and done-USA will be the true loosers of this genocide known as Operation Liberate Iraq. I just want to know if Ms. Rice and Mr. Powell are going to benefit from the oil pipeline that thier master (Bush) wants to build at the expensive of millions-that is the millions of pints of innocent blood that will be spilled in echange for money and wealth.

by James Thursday, Mar. 27, 2003 at 12:23 PM

Dear Disgusted American, I understand that you have a right to your opinions and thankfully, in America, you actually have the freedom to voice them as well...as do I. If you are so disgusted and ashamed of the country you live in, then why not leave?
Also, genocide is a mighty strong word to use for this situation. Minimal civilian death does not equal genocide. If that was the case, what would you call 9/11? It amazes me that Americans are so eager to give the benefit of the doubt to a nation whose leader is known to support/harbor terrorism yet will turn a blind eye to the horrific events of 9/11. Have you forgotten our loss? Go ahead, pity the Iraqis who have fallen under the "Anglo-American regime", but be careful...those same civilians you pity rarely hesitate to proclaim their hatred for the US. Your pity so easily given is not so easily returned!

"why not leave America?"

The New X

by The New X Thursday, Mar. 27, 2003 at 3:53 PM

To American voice.
I'm actually going to begin making a reasonable argument here.

I would agree that America's system of government is the best in the world albeit not by a huge margin. I can tell you that from experience because I have lived in two different countries for good portions of my life.

On a different note.
Do you not think it is hypocritical and absurd that most war proponents condemn Saddam for his actions while they neglect to acknowledge the role that the US played in Iraqi history and Saddam's reign of terror?

It is textbook fact that the US provided Saddam with chemical and biological weapons during the 1980s in spite of his despicable human rights record. Even after the massacre of Kurds in 1988, the US continued to supply Saddam and offer support as well as friendship. By adopting this policy, the US effectively condoned, supported and, in essence, rewarded Saddam for his actions, all because they saw him as a convenient and useful "counterweight" to Iran's emergence as a regional power.

look at what "Mia P." - representing war advocates - wrote a few posts up:

"Well first of all, if you dumbasses even took a look at what americans are fighting for... FREEDOM. I think Americans are brave for not minding their own business and taking matters into their own hands. WOuld you just sit back and watch another country destroy itself by a dictator who executes his own family and friends and uses chemical weapons on his own people? Saddam only cares for himself, and thats where Americans come in. THey will not just sit back and watch people cry out and afraid for their lives, not from the u.s., but from their own fucking leader! thats why so many have surrendered and so many run up and hug and kiss american soldiers because they know that they are coming to "resuce" them and fight for their rights. So how are they dumbasses? if they got it, they should use it. We are a nation under God, and God would want world wide peace, but unfortunately, peace will not come that easily, so war is the answer. YOu keep talking about how we should leave Saddam alone, until he send biological weapons to your fucking country, will you step up and defend yourself? or ask the dumb ass americans to help you! we're not just doing this for ourselves, but for your dumbass too! God bless the u.s.a!

Please explain to me why only now, 16 years too late, Americans are condemning Saddam? Why did they not stand up to him 16 years ago? Why did they not protest America's support of such a brutal dictator? Why, now, do they refuse to condemn their own government for the human rights abuse that it sponsored during those years - the very human rights they are currently using to dehumanize Saddam?

In other words, how can war advocates claim to be fighting for liberty and justice while excusing the U.S. government for its past actions?

I would greatly appreciate any responses that address the facts of my argument.

sincerely,

The New X

Bush did not venture into Baghdad, because he along with the United Nations and the Arab world decided ousting Sadaams goofy army out of Kuwait was enough. let the past be the past, focus on the FUTURE. Forget the past and what was done. The u.s. is a very powerful and respectable country sending medicine and food to all countries and helping them. And why are they seen as the bad guys? They are not trying to kill innocent lives, but those who are doing wrong and evil in their own country. 9-11, that was a significant amount of lost innocent lives, that was a war waiting to happen. Did americans start that? NO!! Al-quaeda did, and Saddam supports them. So are americans to just sit back and take the blows and the obvious threat?! what the hell country are u from? We are not cowards, but we will fight for our freedom and the freedom of all countries that need to be treated equal, and we need to get rid of the bastards who want to make war---> SADDAM, BIN LADEN.... hello?? isnt that an obvious enough purpose for what we are doing now? people against war just dont want to see innocent lives taken away, but that is not the American's purpose, they are trying to take out that dictator who does not care about his country, or his people, or his riches of the land, but lets his OWN SONS kidnap innocent women off the street and rape and murder them? yeah lets just sit back and watch him terrorize his own people, but when he brings that crap into our country, then we must take action and greatfully we are!

Since when

by fresca Thursday, Mar. 27, 2003 at 10:40 PM

Since when has ANYONE ever even suggested that those enemy combatants capyured in Afganistan and heard , quite legally, where in any way HUMAN? That term, as apllied to islamists is used very loosely around here. Let's face it, as it's a simple question of mathematics and common sense. The worth of a single US soldier is greater than that of an entire generation of Afgani islamic terorists. That's just irrefutable.

The New X

by The New X Thursday, Mar. 27, 2003 at 11:12 PM

To Mia P,

I am disturbed and saddened by your comments. With regard to US support of Saddam's atrocities, you said "let the past be the past, focus on the FUTURE." If that is what you truly believe, then you must also forgive Saddam for his actions in the same way that you so eagerly forgave your fellow countrymen. If you believe that U.S. officials should be forgiven simply because they are American and therefore above the law, then you do not believe in justice. Else you hold a rather twisted view of justice.

As for the "FUTURE" statement and as to why human rights abuse and US support of it during Saddam's rule in the 1980s is even an issue, it is because as the United States goes to war to rid the world of a "brutal dictator" who is guilty of war crimes, it is still funding brutal regimes and dictators throughout the world. For example, the Turkish government, who is responsible for despicable atrocities against the Kurds (the Kurds being among the people groups you claim to be liberating), has been offered financial aid in the form of grants and loans in exchange for support of the US war. The Turkish government continues to discriminate and even persecute the Kurds. So in lieu of your argument about focusing on the FUTURE, it becomes obvious that the US government, in spite of your having forgiven them, has not learned its lesson about supporting brutal regimes around the world.

Saudi Arabia serves as yet another example of a brutal regime supported by the US.

Angola, a country which the US has welcomed with open arms into the "coalition of the willing", is currently ruled by a government that is guilty of the EXACT SAME repression of political dissidents that Saddam is. It is a shame that the US even associates with such a government.

Israel is a country that has repeatedly violated UN resolutions, and a country that frequently violates the Geneva convention (be aware that Rumsfield - representing the U.S. - recently condemned the Iraqis for violating the Geneva convention with regard to the treatment of US P.O.W.s. The US has never condemned Israel for its violation of the Geneva convention). In spite of these facts, the US not only provides financial aid, but also military aid to Israel - a country that discriminates heavily against its even its own Israeli-Arab population.

Meanwhile, as the CIA have said, as the FBI has said, and as British intelligence have said, there is no link whatsoever between Osama Bin Ladin and Saddam Hussein. Bush, by saying Al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein in the same sentence numerous times, has managed to convince 51% of Americans that Iraq was inherently responsible for the September 11th attacks. A significant number of Americans also believe that over half the number of hijackers were Iraqi, when in fact none of them were.

As for Bin Ladin's hostility towards the United States, please keep in mind the following: Osama Bin Ladin and the Saudi Arabian regime are at odds - Bin Ladin views the Saudi Regime as corrupt and wishes to overthrow the Saudi government. The U.S. supports the Saudi regime. In addition, the U.S. stations troops in Saudi Arabia who, admittedly fairly enough, Bin Laden and religious figures in the Middle East claim "desecrate" the Holy Land. Also keep in mind that the troops are there for no other reason than to protect the Saudi regime.

Some people have claimed Osama Bin Ladin is simply jealous of the American lifestyle and that is why he is hostile towards the US. By "American lifestyle," I assume they mean the standard of living and equality one can experience in America. Let it be known that Osama Bin Ladin was part of the Bin Ladin family, which owned Bin Ladin Construction, a highly successful, multi-million dollar construction company. Bin Ladin's own wealth was estimated to be somewhere between $100-300 million. Being a rich, prominent, MALE, in OIL RICH Saudi Arabia, one can expect nothing less than the MOST luxurious lifestyle IN THE WORLD. One can expect to be treated like a god. This is a lifestyle that Osama willingly gave up.

So the main points of my argument are:

1) Human Rights abuse should be condemned as those guilty of war crimes should be punished. EVEN if they are American. Being American does not make you above the law... unless you don't believe in justice.

2) The United States will be engaged in a hypocritical war for as long as it neglects to acknowledge its role in the murders of thousands under Saddam's rule during the 1980s.

3) The United States, in lieu of its founding principles, should immediately stop supporting brutal regimes - meaning cease all political, economic, moral and military to support to guilty states.

4) The link between Al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein does not exist.

once again sincerely,

The New X

Notice the handcuffs, highly overpowered female, this is at home folks!

Whereas in the above picture I just posted, no handcuffs were put on our troops by the Iraqis (the humane) and on TV I saw our officers drinking water from a huge "glass" glass, which could have been used as a WMD against the Iraqis...

We have been brainwashed, numbed, to watch biased GE controlled news channels and we work the hardest in the world, even Blair gives his taxpayers three weeks paid vacation, health coverage whether you are employed or not, retirement income for life and we think we live in a civilized country where our jobs were stolen by corporate theives? They haven't been prosecuted.

Support our troops - bring them home!

They were recruited by the enticement of jobs in high tech, engineering, etc. and they were duped into going into a war where they are killing and getting killed by using "high-tech" military machines.

Rumsfeld was rubbing his hands in disgust for the damage the Internet medium has done in exposing news as it happens...

More shock and awe?

Where is Jesus at during all of this? Why is he allowing people to brutally kill other people in war? Where was he on 9/11/01?

If he does exist, he's an absentee God. Doesn't seem to me that he very much cares one iota.

The New X

when aid has being given out while the media are there most of the crowd was chanting saddam . BBC showed this and pointed out many people are saying the same thing to them saddam is like a god etc .US media snip snip suddenly no saddam chanting reported in the exact same footage .

US are loseing men ,and thats a shame . but us media are nt reporting many of these deaths . ok they must let next of kin know first . but the media are holding back the actual real figures. two us troopers where killed by sniper fire and 15 missing yesterday at a battle a british reporter was near .(he seen the dead )he reported at least 10 US dead .but these figures are still not added to the US dead or missing list the Tv are showing .

without doubt most of the US media are just dribbleing out bits here and there of the things that show this war in a good light for them

this is a war even the victors will lose, american and british and oz troops entering Iraq should bandage all cuts, keep
their overheated rubber suits zipped tight, and stop breathing. It is dust,
not bullets, that will likely pose the most lethal consequences to their lifes after the
invasion of Iraq. Depleted Uranium (DU)
investigator John Kaminski. "In southern Iraq, American soldiers will be
sent into battle with inadequate protections against a proven health hazard
that will almost certainly doom them to lives diminished by a variety of
cancers caused by uranium 238.A speck of Uranium-238 can cause cancer. the pentagon admits to firing 320
tons of DU into Iraq's farms and neighborhoods during desert storm.
greenpeace puts the figure at more than 800 tons. now add to these figures what there adding as we speak . and you ve got a whole lot of nasty stuff that everyone who breaths is going to have to live with . predictably, the pentagon denies that the DU used poses any danger. yeah sure it isnt going to harm you, .remeber the nasty stuff they used in vietnam ,they also said would nt harm anyone . may god help ALL the poor buggers in iraq

Ah, the DU canard. Back for another go. Love the pejorative language, too:

"the pentagon admits to firing 320
tons of DU into Iraq's farms and neighborhoods during desert storm. "

Did you catch that one? We shot 320 tons of DU into farms and neighborhoods. Yep. We shot tank rounds at Farmer Brown and all the little Saddams lining up to take busses to kindergarten.

The vast majority of the battles in the gulf war took place in desert regions of Kuwait and southern Iraq. The only weapons which contain DU are tank rounds and various caliber cannon and machinegun rounds.

The DU bugbear is just another bs story. DU never affects Kuwaitis or Afghans or Bosnians or Kosovars who are friendly to the US. It seems to devastate those who have political axes to grind, however.

Talk about a smart bomb.

where was jesus?

by mia p Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 10:41 AM

How can one ask Where was Jesus on 9-11, or now? when people in the U.S. ask to take God out of the pledge of allegience, money, and take prayer out of schools. God stepped back and said "ok." and look where we are because of it.

As for you, New X? Instead of bringing up all the points u know from newspapers, history internet, whatever, focus on what is going on RIGHT NOW. Israel is God's chosen country - it says in the bible, and those of us Americans who still believe in God, Including the president, We have a duty to protect Israel. They are an unstable country and are very vulnerable. And why is Russia supporting Iraqi troops? You tell me that! u say that we're supporting and aiding countries that are corrupt themselves, but if you think america thinks everyone is out to get them, why is russia helping Iraq? They want us to lose or what? If you dont live here in the U.S. you have no room to talk about how we should be handling our business.

another thing..U say bin laden and Saddam have no ties?? have you been watching the news buddy? Saddam has admitted to harboring bin laden in his country before. How can the two not be related to terrorism? If we truly thought Afghanistan was the wrongful country right now, dont you think we'd be there right now? but obviously iraq has posed a greater threat to us at this moment. For your infromation, There is a man on the MOST WANTED LIST from Iraq, plotting to do terrorist acts on the U.S. like 9-11. Dumb asses come to our country, learn all our techniques, fly airplanes, and use it against us?? What brain are u thinking with? Tell me what u think we should do? please do.. Should we sit back and let terrorist in our country terrorize us? the same terrorists who keep flying to and from Iraq with Saddam's blessing? U dont believe that Saddam has his people here hiding in the u.s? then you're pretty thick headed

Bush war crimes

by american Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 10:42 AM

We must make clear to the Germans that the wrong for which their fallen leaders are on trial is not that they lost the war, but that they started it. And we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into a trial of the causes of the war, for our position is that no grievances or policies will justify resort to aggressive war. It is utterly renounced and condemned as an instrument of policy.

Fuck you

by LanPB01 Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:25 PM

As I was sitting at my computer today, I decided to do some basic Google searches for alternative outlets offering information on the war in Iraq. Thus far, I've found a few good sites, but most are predictable. They contain the usual "American's are dumb" and "I hate America" nonsense.

Take this site, for example. The first poster, who sounds like he probably received nothing more than a sixth grade education (if that) posts a great rambling monologue about Americans. In a few of his sentences, he managed to include both a subject AND a verb. Someone give this man a cookie.

Posts such as his don't even warrant the time and effort required to dispute his idiotic premise. Wait, he doesn't HAVE a premise, other than "American's are dumb." What a brilliant argument! I'll respond with something someone of his obvious intellect can understand - FUCK YOU!

The New X

by The New X Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 4:02 PM

To Mia P,

you said:

"As for you, New X? Instead of bringing up all the points u know from newspapers, history internet, whatever, focus on what is going on RIGHT NOW. Israel is God's chosen country - it says in the bible, and those of us Americans who still believe in God, Including the president, We have a duty to protect Israel."

History is important as it lays down the context in which certain events happen. It is only possible to figure out if an action is just or unjust if one looks at the events that precipitated the action.

As for your God and the Bible. Religious arguments are fundamentally baseless as it only applies to one party. Therefore supporting Israel because it is said that it should be done in the Bible is meaningless. Now for my personal opinion on the topic. If tomorrow I go and convert to Judaism, do I automatically become a chosen person of God? Also, If your God says that it is right to support a country that brutalizes an entire population simply because of their national identity, then I believe that your God is actually burning in hell, or operating from hell as we speak.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
After listening to Mia P talk, I have come to the following conclusion:

The existence of religious conservatives who think that they themselves are God is probably the most central cause of conflict worldwide. They have a set of shallow core values imposed upon them by their church, surroundings and parents. Consequently they seek to undermine those who don't agree with their values. Anyone who doesn't follow their path is evil. I for one don't support human rights abuse anywhere at anytime (even if those abuses are perpetrated by "God's chosen people). Apparently, that makes me evil and blasphemous.

I'm sure many of you would agree that we should move all the religious conservatives from all around the world (American Christian fundamentalists, Islamic fundamentalists, The Al-Qaeda organization, Right-wing Israelis, Hindu nationalists etc) and let them fight it out amongst each other. That way, us sane people can live in peace. We may not be in "God's" favor, but at least we will still be alive and not be guilty of murdering or repressing other people.

Jesus vs. Isa vs. Buddha = eternal conflict

Mia P, I would also appreciate some evidence to substantiate your claims that Russia is helping Iraqi troops.

Osama Bin Ladin was aided by the CIA and the US government. According to your argument, does that not mean that America has a strong link to the sponsorship of terrorism?

Yours truly,

The New X

Israel to kill in U.S., allied nations
By Richard Sale
UPI Intelligence Correspondent
From the Washington Politics & Policy Desk
Published 1/15/2003 7:14 PM
View printer-friendly version

Israel is embarking upon a more aggressive approach to the war on terror that will include staging targeted killings in the United States and other friendly countries, former Israeli intelligence officials told United Press International.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has forbidden the practice until now, these sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The Israeli statements were confirmed by more than a half dozen former and currently serving U.S. foreign policy and intelligence officials in interviews with United Press International.

But an official at the Israeli Embassy in Washington told UPI: "That is rubbish. It is completely untrue. Israel and the United States have such a close and co-operative intelligence relationship, especially in the field of counter-terrorism, that the assertion is ludicrous."

With the appointment of Meir Dagan, the new director of Israel's Mossad secret intelligence service, Sharon is preparing "a huge budget" increase for the spy agency as part of "a tougher stance in fighting global jihad (or holy war)," one Israeli official said.

Since Sharon became Israeli prime minister, Tel Aviv has mainly limited its practice of targeted killings to the West Bank and Gaza because "no one wanted such operations on their territory," a former Israeli intelligence official said.

Another former Israeli government official said that under Sharon, "diplomatic constraints have prevented the Mossad from carrying out 'preventive operations' (targeted killings) on the soil of friendly countries until now."

He said Sharon is "reversing that policy, even if it risks complications to Israel's bilateral relations."

A former Israeli military intelligence source agreed: "What Sharon wants is a much more extensive and tough approach to global terrorism, and this includes greater operational maneuverability."

Does this mean assassinations on the soil of allies?

"It does," he said.

"Mossad is definitely being beefed up," a U.S. government official said of the Israeli agency's budget increase. He declined to comment on the Tel Aviv's geographic expansion of targeted killings.

An FBI spokesman also declined to comment, saying: "This is a policy matter. We only enforce federal laws."

A congressional staff member with deep knowledge of intelligence matters said, "I don't know on what basis we would be able to protest Israel's actions." He referred to the recent killing of Qaed Salim Sinan al Harethi, a top al Qaida leader, in Yemen by a remotely controlled CIA drone.

"That was done on the soil of a friendly ally," the staffer said.

But the complications posed by Israel's new policy are real.

"Israel does not have a good record at doing this sort of thing," said former CIA counter-terrorism official Larry Johnson.

He cited the 1997 fiasco where two Mossad agents were captured after they tried to assassinate Khaled Mashaal, a Hamas political leader, by injecting him with poison.

According to Johnson, the attempt, made in Amman, Jordan, caused a political crisis in Israeli-Jordan relations. In addition, because the Israeli agents carried Canadian passports, Canada withdrew its ambassador in protest, he said. Jordan is one of two Arab nations to recognize Israel. The other is Egypt.

At the time, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, "I have no intention of stopping the activities of this government against terror," according to a CNN report.

Former CIA officials say Israel was forced to free jailed Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmad Yassin and 70 other Jordanian and Palestinian prisoner being held in Israeli jails to secure the release of the two would-be Mossad assassins.

Phil Stoddard, former director of the Middle East Institute, cited a botched plot to kill Ali Hassan Salemeh, the mastermind of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. The 1974 attempt severely embarrassed Mossad when the Israeli hit team mistakenly assassinated a Moroccan waiter in Lillehammer, Norway.

Salemeh, later a CIA asset, was killed in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1976 by a car bomb placed by an Israeli assassination team, former U.S. intelligence officials said.

"Israel knew Salemeh was providing us with preventive intelligence on the Palestinians and his being killed pissed off a lot of people," said a former senior CIA official.

But some Israeli operations have been successful.

Gerald Bull, an Ontario-born U.S. citizen and designer of the Iraqi supergun -- a massive artillery system capable of launching satellites into orbit, and of delivering nuclear chemical or biological payloads from Baghdad to Israel -- was killed in Belgium in March 1990. The killing is still unsolved, but former CIA officials said a Mossad hit team is the most likely suspect.

Bull worked on the supergun design -- codenamed Project Babylon -- for 10 years, and helped the Iraqis develop many smaller artillery systems. He was found with five bullets in his head outside his Brussels apartment.

Israeli hit teams, which consist of units or squadrons of the Kidon, a sub-unit for Mossad's highly secret Metsada department, would stage the operations, former Israeli intelligence sources said. Kidon is a Hebrew word meaning "bayonet," one former Israeli intelligence source said.

This Israeli government source explained that in the past Israel has not staged targeted killings in friendly countries because "no one wanted such operations on their territory."

This has become irrelevant, he said.

Dagan, the new hard-driving director of Mossad, will implement the new changes, former Israeli government officials said.

Dagan, nicknamed "the gun," was Sharon's adviser on counter-terrorism during the government of Netanyahu in 1996, former Israeli government officials say. A former military man, Dagan has also undertaken extremely sensitive diplomatic missions for several of Israel's prime ministers, former Israeli government sources said.

Former Israel Defense Forces Lt. Col. Gal Luft, who served under Dagan, described him as an "extremely creative individual -- creative to the point of recklessness."

A former CIA official who knows Dagan said the new Mossad director knows "his foreign affairs inside and out," and has a "real killer instinct."

Dagan is also "an intelligence natural" who has "a superb analyst not afraid to act on gut instinct," the former CIA official said.

Dagan has already removed Mossad officials whom he regards as "being too conservative or too cautious" and is building up "a constituency of senior people of the same mentality," one former long-time Israeli operative said.

Dagan is also urging that Mossad operatives rely less on secret sources and rely more on open information that is so plentifully provided on the Internet and newspapers.

"It's a cultural thing," one former Israeli intelligence operative explained. "Mossad in the past has put its emphasis on Humint (human intelligence) and secret operations and has neglected the whole field of open media, which has become extremely important."

since you're online so much, cant you find out if russia is aiding iraqi troops? go ahead, search it. and thank you for your view on God and religion but what about the other comments i made? are u speechless on them? read what else i said, and leave your comments. it was rather boring reading your whole religious aspect. That was only a tiny part of what i had to say and that was my opinion, i didnt expect you to make a big deal about it, but anyway, yeah search what russia is doing, and research on saddam and bin laden ties. ok?

The New X

by The New X Sunday, Mar. 30, 2003 at 5:41 PM

To Mia P.

I read the article and other articles regarding Russian military support of Iraq. A Russian company is said to have sold and be selling GPS jamming equipment, night-vision goggles, and guided anti-tank missiles to Iraq.

According to your article :
"President Putin assured President Bush that he would look into it, and President Bush said he looked forward to hearing the results," the press secretary said.

After reading the article you listed and all the other articles, I have come to the following conclusion. The Russian company is illicitly selling military equipment to Iraq for no other reason than financial gain. Furthermore, this company is operating illegally and the case is just that the Russian authorities have not found the required proof of it yet. As a result I strongly reject your argument that Russia (as a country) is supplying Iraq with weapons in order to bring about an American military loss in Iraq.

Regarding your other statements...

Point 1 —
You said:
“another thing..U say bin laden and Saddam have no ties?? have you been watching the news buddy? Saddam has admitted to harboring bin laden in his country before. How can the two not be related to terrorism?”

Please provide evidence to support your statement. After you do so, I will search for further evidence to support the evidence you give me. Then I will respond based on my analysis of the context in which he allowed Osama Bin Ladin to enter Iraq. Until then, based on your speculation, keep in mind the following point:

The US and the CIA supported Osama Bin Laden “before.” According to your argument, is not the US then related to terrorism?

Point 2 —
You said:
“If you dont live here in the U.S. you have no room to talk about how we should be handling our business.”

When your business involves supporting murder, tyranny and injustice/sacrificing other people’s freedoms in order to maintain your own standard of living then it becomes my business. US foreign policy has always involved sacrificing others for American interests. I do live in the US.

Point 3 —
You said:
“If we truly thought Afghanistan was the wrongful country right now, dont you think we'd be there right now?”

Please explain why you even brought up Afghanistan in this argument? What relevance does it have? Please define “wrongful”. For what reason would we “be there right now”?

I have difficulty following much of your argument. It is not cohesive or structured in any way. I did, however, make a guess as to what you were saying. Here is my response.

For several years, Afghanistan was ruled by a tyrannical, murderous and brutal regime called the Taliban. Most Americans did not know who the Taliban were and where Afghanistan was. Nor did they care. Only after September 11th did the Taliban come to light as American forces went in to destroy Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Although it is obvious that the US went in to Afghanistan to destroy those two organizations, the US government claimed the war was being fought to “liberate” the Afghanis from Taliban rule. If that was the case, why did not the US invade Afghanistan in 1996, for example? The same situation is happening in Iraq. The US government is attacking Iraq for its own purposes but claims to be “liberating” Iraq.

Point 4 —
You said:
“U dont believe that Saddam has his people here hiding in the u.s? then you're pretty thick headed”

I do believe Iraq has agents living in the US. I do not believe that they are terrorists, as you imply. Rather, by citing examples from other countries, it is safe to say that those agents are spies. Since many countries have placed spies throughout the world, it is no revelation by any means that Iraq has agents in the US. I am not surprised at all.

Point 5 —
You said:
“but obviously iraq has posed a greater threat to us at this moment. For your infromation, There is a man on the MOST WANTED LIST from Iraq, plotting to do terrorist acts on the U.S. like 9-11. Dumb asses come to our country, learn all our techniques, fly airplanes, and use it against us?? What brain are u thinking with? Tell me what u think we should do? please do.. Should we sit back and let terrorist in our country terrorize us? the same terrorists who keep flying to and from Iraq with Saddam's blessing?”

Are you stating that the perpetrators of the September 11th attacks were Iraqi agents funded, and following orders issued by Saddam Hussein? It is inappropriate and false to label Iraq as being responsible for the September 11th attacks. Also, if one Iraqi is a terrorist, does that mean all Iraqis are terrorists? Timothy Mcveigh was white, American terrorist. According to your argument, would it not be wise and appropriate then to kill all white Americans rather than just letting them "sit there" and kill us?

Sincerely,
The New X

The New X

by The New X Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 9:08 AM

The point I repeatedly make is that the US supports terrorism, tyranny, murder and brutal dictatorships whenever and wherever it suits their purposes. Yet its population blindly believes that its government acts justly 100% of the time.

I also make the point that the US creates much of its own problems as a result. The US funded and armed Saddam because they wished him to direct his evil towards the Iranians. Back then, the Americans never considered him to be a tyrant (even though he clearly was). Only now, after Saddam no longer conforms to US global strategy, does the US label him a tyrant. Furthermore the US is now waging a war to "liberate" a population (while killing thousands of innocents in the process) from a tyrant that they supported when his tyranny served US purposes all in the name of "justice, democracy and fiendom." Wait, I may have made a mistake, did the US say "fiendom" or "freedom"?

Not only that, the US, as it fights this "war of liberation", STILL supports brutal dictators, tyranny, and murder throughout the globe for self-serving reasons.

Yours truly

Shez

Exactly

by Erik Tuesday, Apr. 01, 2003 at 10:55 AM

Exactly, those posts were by me Erik.... Not Eric...
And I wasn't trying to impersonate anyone either... For what you were saying about how The US supports terrorism and all that other crap you were saying the New X... I am an American I value America and the constitution and the Democratic system.... I never said I fully support our government in every choice they make... For instance I think its dispickable that we support Isreal For what they are doing to the palastenean people or however you spell that.. I never once said I was extremely intelligent by the way I just have my opinions and because I'm an American I have a right to say whatever the fuck I want... Also because I'm saying it on the internet....... anyways I totally support that the palastinean people deserve as State just as much as the Iraqi people do... The people of Iraq however are ruled by A dictator who likes to kill masses of people in some of the most inhumane ways possible..... A lot of those people are his own countrymen and woman and children... How can you actually sit there and say this man deserves to run Iraq? or his sons? or anybody else in that regime? So to the new X, I am an American who loves my country and what it stands for although I don't support every single judgment the government makes.. That doesn't mean Im gonna turn my back on the country or what it stands for because I know that every day things change... Im only 21 so I know for sure when Im older things will be different...... Instead of sitting on the internet cussing and ranting about how much you can't stand america because its not run the way you want it to be, get off your ass and do something about it... Theres bound to be a few people who have your extremely fucked up views!

Another thing

by Erik Tuesday, Apr. 01, 2003 at 11:17 AM

The new X, you were also ranting about how america funded Iraq during the iranian war and all sorts of other shit that doesn't really matter NOW...... I will retort though... O fuckin Well, We make mistakes, America isn't perfect, specially the government but who is? Nobody. We also helped russia? we fought against the germans and now we help them. same with the japanese. At the time we were helping Iraq, at that time they were the right people out of the lot who needed our help and got it...... Yes now we are paying for it but When we were helping Iraq we also didn't know we were gonna go to war with them twice..... So basically its an o-well... shit happens..... You also have got to be the biggest stereotyper I have ever met.. You are really good at seeing something or hearing something about someone or something and then keeping that instance and using it against everybody who doesn't agree with you.... I will say it again, I know that the american government isn't always in the right.. I don't support 100% of what the government decides or what they say because they are not God and if I believed in God that would be the only thing I would put blind faith into..... It makes me sick to hear some of the stuff you say because you group everybody into what your negatively talking about... I will agree there are people who do support the government blindly and say Yay to everything but its a select few..... Most people have an opinion about everything and thats what they make there judgments on... The people who support everything the government does without even questioning it are most likely brain-washed by american propaganda....... the religous right.. Im sure you know the type because you seem to know Americans so well. How is That anyways? I know you must be on the census bureau. I love stereotyping..

Great pic.. have issues with idiots complaining about how the US is taking care of business, hmm when was the last time we dressed our soldiers up as civilians and had them pretend to give themselves up, OH! Wait ! Even better, when was the last time we hid behind women and children and continued shooting, get some balls... I served my time overseas... I saw first hand what some of you are defending, the Iraqi military.. have you seen them? When was the last time you served for something you believed in instead of hiding on a webpage spitting out your comments that show your lack of intelligence in the matter... tell you what make you a deal, you support your belief, and you go over there and help the Iraqi hide their weapons in schools, hide behind women and children and wear civilian clothes since they are so deceptive and cheat to win. I watched them hand their children teddy bears with bombs in them and tell them to go make friends with the GI... THAT is the kind of people you would like to defend.. then go right ahead.. but dont do it from your armchair.. go out there, support them, go grab a weapon, grab a child and start acting like those you defend... and while your at it.. think about your brilliant comments like your save money buy a smaller TV... think to yourself.. is that the best I can do? I cant have an intelligent conversation so I have to act like I am a child? maybe that will be the education you need.. reality

US Has No Right To Talk About POW Treatment- What?

by Stop the Bullshit Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 12:41 AM

Sorry but do I remember the Taliban in any uniforms and repeated violation Geneva so they have no right to its protection. Plus, did you not see the photos of American soldiers shot in the head, I repeat in the head. That is called execution. Have we done that, no we have not. by Stop the Bullshit Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 12:48 AM

For your information, the Geneva Convetion applies to nation-states and last time I heard FOX was not a nation-state. FOX, CNN and the like are called the media and unless they signed Geneva they can show all the Iraqis they want to. Plus, they POWs were shown on Iraqi state-owned television, as in the government of Iraq taped the POWs then knowningly aired it on TV. Also, I am pretty sure that the US government does not own the media, but who knows, being the imperialist pigs that America is everything could be a smokescreen.

by The New X Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 8:32 AM

To Erik
thats where i diasagree

Iraq was NOT the right lot of the bunch. it was fucked up. HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE WAS PLENTIFUL.
The only reason America supported it was coz they thought iran was a threat!

sure Iran was a threat. but look at what caused them to take a hostile position against the US - THE US SUPPORTED ANOTHER BRUTAL DICTATOR (SHAH OF IRAN)

so basically, the US right now has a major problem with the middle east. every1 hates america pretty much. why? coz of the hypocrisy of US foreign policy. - supporting brutal dictators when and where it suits their purposes, then ranting on about how it supports freedom and justice and all that shit. shut the fuck up america!

quit with the meaningless rhetoric because if you keep it up you are just fucked up hypocrites. at least just say you are who you are and that nobody can stop you from doing what you want. then nobody will be able to argue with ur position and ppl wont be as pissed off about america coz theyll know the americans know the true position of their own government in internation politics.

So overall. im tryin to say to the US - STOP THE HYPOCRISY. ive been trying to point out the hypocrisy of US action in Iraq. only like 3 ppl have acknowledged the hypocrisy.

but instead of saying that was wrong, lets not do it again. they say "that was in the past let it be". lets concentrate on the future. THE FUTURE? WTF you're still supporting genocide brutality and vicious dictatorships throughout the world.

So you say you're going in to Iraq to bring freedom etc?

FUCK THAT.

AS THE FUCKING DUMB AMERICANS GO INTO BATTLE CHANTING FREEDOM JUSTICE ALL THAT BULLSHIT THAT THEY DONT FUCKING EVEN UNDERSTAND that you're killing in order to bring peace and democracy while at the same time supporting death destruction and brutal dictatorships elsewhere.

also American democracy will be a foreign imposed solution to a local problem. it wont work like just like that. democracy needs to be EASED in. democracy is not an overnight miracle solution to anything! if you got democracy in the arab world tomorrow, americans will be fucked because all the authoritarian leaders who you all hate so much are actually the ones that support america!
fuckin dumb americans!

hypocrisy

fuck you and all fuck your fucking meaningless rhetoric

Do you Even Pay Attention?

by Erik Saturday, Apr. 05, 2003 at 12:35 AM

To the New X,

Do you Even Pay attention to what I fucking wrote? Don't call me a hypocrit because I am the farthest fucking thing from a hipocrit....... I only said that America Supported Iraq in The Iranian War... I never said I supported America For Supporting Iraq in the Iranian War.... I Also never said fuck the past... I said o well, what was done will be done...... Move On... OF course you cant FUCK THE PAST..... History Is what The great nation of America is built on... Just like every other Country...... You spew out all this shit about how America Is so brutal and were bringing tyranny against everybody, which is so far from the truth...... I understand though, you of course have to over-emphasize your argument so any person with a third-grade education and attention span will read your statements...... I also never said that It was gonna be A quick 1,2,3 you got democracy shindig goin down in Iraq... If we are gonna impose a democracy on Iraq, its going to take years to have everything worked out and fall in Line.... Nobody has ever said Fixing Iraq's government was going to be as easy as the Fighting will be...... Again, you also love to rant on how America is so brutal and all that shit but The middle-east is the same way if not worse... They just say its a JIHAD... They slaughter over religion... So New X, if we were bringing Religion and faith instead of government to Iraq you wouldn't be apposed because thats exactly what the other middle-east countrys push on eachother... Religion... There have been who knows how many people killed in the name of religion... I know for fact that More people have been killed in wars of religion and all that shit than wars over Democracy..... Why is that... Because Most people except Democracy willingly as long as the government allows it..... In Iraq Sadams Regime Would rather Hoard everything to themselves rather then the people of Iraq and thats why As soon as the hostilitys are over and That regime is gone you will see Iraqis glad to have this Change..... It also might not be a completely Democratic state, but as long as you get rid of the hitleresk regime things will be a hell of a lot better... Im sure after this, other middle-eastern countrys will want change as well..... Another thing that pisses me off is you talk shit about Americans so much but you Don't know shit about Americans, from what I know you have only lived here for a short while...... So theres no way you truly know the American people the way you think you Do..... You watch your Clinton News Network (CNN) and watch those Brain-washed Journalist talking about Nothing and you think your the voice of reason? Don't think So.... I for one know that most Americans Don't blindly trust our government and don't favor every decision the government of America Makes, Past or Present...... Furthermore, the past is important but it is the past... You learn from it and then you move on and try not to make the same mistakes... You don't dwell on the mistakes you made in the past because that doesn't get you anywhere.... You move on and do what you can to learn from your mistakes so the same shit doesn't happen..... You love to say we supported Iraq in the Iranian war, well guess what We haven't supported them Since then, because we realized who they truly were..... It doesn't mean that if we had the chance to go back in time we wouldn't help them because we would... Why? At that time thats what the government thought was the right thing along with the majortiy of America..... Anyways, Like I said before, I don't give a shit about that cuz I've moved on and now Im focusing on the task at hand, which you obviously cant do because people have gotten sick of you ranting about shit that doesn't even make Sense...... Finally, I hope you do move to canada, Im sure they would Love you... Im sure though once you see One bad thing about canada your gonna start saying the Same shit about Canada and you will find your ass right back here which sucks because If you don't want to be here GET THE FUCK OUT.

They hate us because we have freedom of religion..They hate us because they cant be us, and because they don't understand us... Picture 1 is of two soldiers who had been captured earlier and were now firmly in custody. They were being paraded on TV in violation of International Law.
Picture 2 is of an arrest in progress.

Let's assume that Picture 2 is of excessive force. How in the world do you compare it to a completely non-seq picture 1? Do you expect us to believe that no weapons or force was used in capturing the soldiers? You think that these two being humiliated for propaganda purposes are fine because they don't have handcufts at the present time? That there are no weapons off camera, no guards, no MPs? You sit here and implicitly endorse this prisoner abuse and expect us to link this to picutre 2 where a women is seemingly not in pain and continues to shout support to someone while merely being handcufted? No hair pulling, no beating, etc. Couldn't you even find a photo that at least showed violence? I've seen many.

What kind of fantasy world do you live in?

They are jealous?

by Mia P Saturday, Apr. 05, 2003 at 9:48 AM

I do believe many of the middle eastern people welcome Americans with open arms, Yes they do appreciate us helping them, sending them food and medicine that their own "leader" wont provide. The only ones who dont want our help is the republican guards and many of saddam's followers. When U.S. soldiers were carrying cartons of food and medicine to the civilians, they were jumping all over it like a pack of wolves that had never seen food before. so I do believe they appreciate us. they are scared of their own dictator more than the u.s. soldiers.

The New X

by The New X Saturday, Apr. 05, 2003 at 4:29 PM

To Erik,

all i want is the US (most powerful military in the history of mankind) to actually UPHOLD HUMAN RIGHTS!. supporting freedom here and brutality there just doesnt cut it is all im saying. yet americans in general dont even realize the brutality that their country supports. all they see is what the government wants them to see (i.e. bringing "freedom" and "democracy" to Iraq). at least fuckin apologize to the iraqis for supporting saddam in the first place.

also, americans are so quick to blame a lack of democracy for the troubles in the middle east. thats is just so fucking untrue (i lived in the middle east for 14 years remember? i have a valid perspective). i mean, some middle eastern countries have achieved so much more in terms of development in the last 10 years than american has in the past 50 years). its all about human rights, i dont mind having a dictator as long as he does good shit and doesnt fuck around with people (i.e. torture, repression etc) dictatorships doesnt necessarily = brutality - whereas americans are taught to believe dictatorship = evil.

americans should allow other forms of government to exist but they SHOULD NOT ALLOW HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES to take place ANYWHERE OR ANYTIME.

Food for Thought

by fresca Sunday, Apr. 06, 2003 at 1:35 PM

Memo to: The Arab Street
From: President Bill Clinton

Dear ladies and gentlemen, over the last few years I've often written your leaders, but now that my term is ending I've decided my last letter should be to you, the Arab masses, the Arab street, who have paid such a high price for this ongoing conflict.

I'm going to be blunt. I've done all I could to build a fair, realistic pathway out of the Arab-Israeli conflict for both you and the Israelis, but if you want to continue fighting it out and avoiding a deal that gives you 95 percent of what you want, well, there's nothing more I can do.

But there is something I can say, and it's this: What troubles me most about the mood on the Arab street today is the hostility I detect there to modernization, globalization, demo cratization and the information revolution. What you do with the Israelis is up to you now, but what you do with your own societies is going to affect the stability of the whole Middle East.

Where other countries are focused on developing world-class competitive industries, you are still focused on protecting your uncompetitive ones. Where others are aggressively trading with the world, you barely trade with each other. Where others are freeing their presses, you are still controlling yours. Where other world leaders are building their legitimacy by pushing education, most of yours are still building their legitimacy by pushing a religious conflict. Where others are seeking foreign investors in order to create jobs for their young people, you are driving off foreign investors with unfriendly bureaucracies and pursuit of a conflict that scares everyone away from your region. In an age when others are making microchips, you are making potato chips.

I would have thought that this reality would be a hotly debated subject among your elites, and I know some have raised it. But for the most part your intellectuals, pundits and parliamentarians, rather than fostering an honest debate, prefer to make excuses. When I ask Arab leaders why South Korea had roughly the same per capita income in the early 1950's as Syria or Egypt, and now South Korea is a highly developed country and Syria and Egypt are still developing, the answer I get is that the Arab states had to fight wars. Well, South Korea had a struggle with North Korea for decades. Another excuse I get is that the Arab states had population problems. Well, so does China, and it's been growing at 10 percent per year.

Your intellectuals seem more interested in protecting their perks, by coming up with excuses for the weakness of their regimes, rather than fostering an honest debate.

I realize that the issue of Israel, and who rules over the Muslim holy places in Jerusalem, touches the soul of the Arab street. I would not think of asking you to give up on controlling your religious sites. But I would urge you to consider asking more than one question. Who rules al Aksa mosque is critical for the dignity of every Arab and Palestinian Muslim in the modern world. But what sort of education you offer your kids, what sort of economy you build and what sort of rule of law you establish will also determine your dignity and standing in the modern world. You should be concerned with answering the old questions, but you have to recognize that they are not the only questions.

There has to be a balance. A society that forgets its roots will never be stable. But a society that is preoccupied with its roots, and is asking the question only of who owns which root, will never grow into the world or bear fruit. Your intellectuals don't care. They eat the fruit no matter what. They are protected by the regimes, while they keep you living only by the old questions and the old role models. In doing so, they ensure that you never reach your full potential.

I understand you get frustrated with America. But when you follow the Arab elites into supporting Saddam Hussein, I don't understand. Forget about us, think about this man and what he has done to his neighbors, the poison gas he has used on his own people, the generation of Iraqis he has destroyed. Is this a role model? Is this the sort of Arab leader you want for your own societies?

I hope not. I hope one day soon I will see an intifada not only for an independent Palestine but for Arab education, for Arab free press, for Arab legality, for Arab democracy. An Arab street that can ask only one question will, in the end, not be a very nice place to raise your kids.

Sincerely, Bill Clinton

In Support Of U. S. A

by Stan Wednesday, Apr. 09, 2003 at 1:32 AM
fodre@hotmail.com

Hi, i stand in support for the U.S & the coalition forces who are out risking their lives for the sake of the freedom of Iraq. I live in Kuwait and i was there to see the horrors when Iraq invaded kuwait in 1990. Some jackasses wanna call this an attack or invasion in Iraq, well, i dont think so, now Saddam will actually know, how does it feel like when being invaded by another country. that son of a bitch has to die, for the welfare of his country and his neighbouring countries. All are condemning U.S. for their actions against Iraq, but hey may be they may be doin it for oil, but atleast in return No one will live in fear when they take out Saddam Hussein, Nothing comes free these days so you gotta face the fact, if U.S. is gonna gain soemthing out of it, and at the same time do somethning good,, by liberating Iraqi people from the sufferings of a fucked up dictator like Saddam, then so be it! Hence I support the U.S, god bless!p.s. i am not an american, and yet i support them! coz they are simply right!

free spirit

by nasreen Monday, May. 19, 2003 at 9:46 AM

When the Iraqi citizens ( the educated intelligent ones) are dancing in the streets waving American flags and thanking us for liberating them from a regime that has murdered and opopressed them for decades, then the world will see that this was a noble undertaking.
**********************************************************
educated intelligent ones ??? upon what did u say that ?? upon their filthy clothes ?? or what they were saying ?? did u understand what they were saying ?? i am an arab !! and i understand and can make the difference between the educated and the not educated , and i assure u they way they were talking , not of an educated arab.firstly !! 80% of the educated iraqies left iraq long before the war.. and those scientists that were investigated with by the un representatives are in an unknown state now.. becuase their names and adderesses were given by the un to israelie commandoes to be assassined! this might sound funny ! like one of the movies u saw.. but i assure you what i am saying is not crap just because your broadcasting channels(all controlled or owned by jews) didnt speak of it and wont. and those comandoes were brought to iraq amongst the american forces.
with all respect to americans, my mother is one! but its a shame to believe everything u see on tv. or being told by your hypocratic president. who is doing this war thing for completely different reasons and not for freedom for sure. for oil and to help israel build " the great israel state" , your educated and wisemen , admitted by them sleves and i have seen many tv shows and read many documents. written by americans ... they see the whole picture. and i believe you all are ought to see it and celever enough to see it.

Freedom ???

by nasreen Monday, May. 19, 2003 at 9:54 AM

what freedom are u talking about ?? u think the states would spend all that money to free the iraqi nation ?? free ??? common, who would believe that !

infact, many iraqi activists who were against saddam's regime have asked for the united states help and some of the weapons to be able to fight against saddams regime and maybe win the government. but what did the united states govenment did ?? sent the list of all those activists names to saddam !!
before gulf war two, some activists took a footage of the kurds bodies, scattered around their villiages when they were killed by chemical gases, took it to the white house, and asked for somethign to be done.. ofcourse who ever was represnting the governemnt replied with"we cant interfer with internal affairs of any country", and once the american governemnt found some interests in "creating the gulf war " , they used to footage to soften the american public hearts and win them, in the war.
and do u really believe that the american army with all thier technology , cant find a man in a cave whose weapons are very very old compared to the american weapons ?? what r all those spy satellites doing ?? common poeple u dont really believe that the american government doesnt know where osama bin ladin or saddam are right now ??!!!! they do , very well ! the american government created them, now they turned into beasts. but still the us gov,. wont bring them out to the public because by doing that they will bring to the public everything they did under cover with those two.
