This is a translation of an Echo of Moscow Radio report, that Elizabeth Cheney is in Jordan en route to Iraq to serve as a Human Shield.
Echo of Moscow Radio reported at 9:08 PM, March 22
Today, Elizabeth Cheney, daughter of Vice-president Dick Cheney, arrived in Amman, the capitol of Jordan. It is very likely that she will go to war-torn Baghdad next. According to unofficial sources, Elizabeth intends to join with members of the "Human Shields", located at important Iraqi sites.

Let's hope she's media savvy and will try to contact media - progressive media in the least. An interview on, say, DemocracyNow would get distribution/noticed

The left has been so marginalized, and is so irrelevant, that they'd be delighted if this was true. Having Dick Cheney's daughter go off her rocker would be a plus for them. Sickos.

As an American I am concerned by the levels of anger expressed in some of these replies. I know from my medical rehab. practice in London that it often has to do with alcohol and other drug consumption, aspartame and other additives and often with a diet of violent US TV. Most of my anger problem patients are young post pubescent males with poor nutrition and feelings of sexual inferiority. I tell victims is to breathe deeply and think of a peacful scene and try to avoid anger as it detrimental to health.

If this is true, it just might put a stop to this savage, inhumane attack on Baghdad, a city of people and the capital of a country that has never attacked the US.
They'll kill others in great numbers and smile about it, but I doubt they'll go so far as to kill their own.

Do you know why the big bad ol' corporate media didn't report this story? Cause IT'S NOT TRUE! Liz Cheney is a card carrying republican, she works for the State Department for chrissakes: that is why she is in Jordania, she is a DIPLOMAT! But for all the ignorant hippies out there who think the NY times and the Wash Post are evil corporate puppets, and who only read the "independent media", the story will stick. And then these bozos go on demonstrations thinking that they're better informed than the rest of us. HELLO, HELLO! The reason the corporate media has not run this story is because unlike two bit piece of crap news organizations they actually do some FACT-CHECKING, OK?

just a rumour
a buddy said
"The problem with the original (besides being bull) is that they got the wrong Cheney daughter. Elizabeth Cheney has a family (husband and kids) and is an undersecretary in the State Department. Mary Cheney is the rebellious one. However neither of them are going to Iraq."

WOW! I guess Independent media means that stories can be reported independent of any facts to back them up. Urban legends passed as news; conspiracy theories touted to explain the pro-establishment media; and a political one-track mind approach. Now I know where not to turn for the other side of the debate.

If Dick Cheney's daughter OR ANY other american citizen becomes in the way of the war on purpose , then I say its HIGH TREASON and they should be SHOT and KILLED when they get in the way. Im so tired of faggot, tree huggin liberals who "love everyone", even if the people they love would turn around and stab them in the back directly after giving them a kiss. how embarrassing!

Hum... funny you speak of high treason... so it was OK for our great leader to go AWOL for almost 1 year from his national guard service, that is also treason. So let's talk treason, shall we? Was he scared of them slopes invading the bible belt?
If you feel so enraged about these things, well people... go to your nearest recruiting station and get your ass over there! Bunch of cowards... at least those human shields have more balls than any of you "patriots". BTW a large percentage of our best and bravest are "faggots", how does it feel to have your hairy white ass protected by them "fags"?

March 25, 2003 Washington Times
Cheney: No daughters as human shields
WASHINGTON, March 25 (UPI) -- Vice President Dick Cheney's office denied reports on Tuesday that either of his daughters was even considering becoming a human shield in Iraq. "Neither daughter even has plans to travel to that region, let alone Iraq," a member of the vice president's staff told United Press International in Washington. Elizabeth, 36, is married with three children in Washington, where she is deputy assistant secretary for Near-East affairs at the State Department. Mary, 34, has just completed her master's degree of business administration at Denver University. Reports earlier on Tuesday suggested Cheney was on his way to Jordan to dissuade one of his daughters from joining the so-called human shield volunteers in Iraq. The shields are civilians, usually foreigners, who place themselves around hospitals, schools and other installations in an effort to keep opposing military forces from targeting them. The United States has reiterated that it does not target civilian facilities and indeed has no plans to during its operations in Iraq. When asked where the daughters were now, the staff member said, "Both the vice president and his daughters are in the United States." A U.S. Embassy spokesman in Amman, the Jordanian capital, also denied that Cheney was on his way to Jordan: "The embassy has no information that the U.S. vice president will arrive in Jordan Tuesday to convince one of his daughters not to travel to Iraq to join human shields opposed to war," he said.

It's so sad that the irrelevant liberals have nothing left to do but circulate internet hoaxes in order to gain favor with the spoiled, ignorant Baby Boomer Babies. After Iraq, I say we stop in Kalifornia and liberate the handful of intelligent conservatives who are traped in that flaky wasteland of leftist propaganda. Boycott Google because you have to have security clearance to work there? You have to have security clearance to work for the Post Office, should we also boycott the U.S. Mail? Give it up already. The sixties are over. Put away your love beads and your tye-dyes and go get some jobs.

Just a response to Frank: A large percentage of our service people are gay? Is that supposed to be some sort of leftist morale booster? Bottom line, "human shields" are ignorant hippie-wanna-be's who are clueless to the realities of war,( not to mention, life). Thats's why they're so interested in smoking dope and parading around with cardboard signs instead of working for a living -- to escape the harshness of reality. Where are you going to be when the Second Revolution comes? In a bunker with your head held high? Or in the streets burning the American Flag? What's interesting is that The Washington Times has abruptly responded to this story today, by directly contradicting the report that Cheney's daughter was intending to be a human shield in Baghdad. What's notable is that the story got national exposure when a Japanese reporter asked a direct question regarding the issue at a press conference with an American official Wednesday. The official would neither confirm nor deny the report. Then the Washington times dedicates an article to the assertion that the report was false. Interesting. And at the very least, quite suspicious.

You are such a tool. And you're just too f**cking stupid to know it. Please rush to the front so that the peasants of Iraq can get a good square shot at your idiot head with the weapons that we sold them. Yes, it's true. You know nothing. Go put it to good use, making Cheney and his friends wealthier, and installing the new world order that will enslave you when your sorry ass comes back poisoned and neglected by a government who will tell you that your symptoms are psychosomatic. Until I read your pitful post, I wouldn't have wished it on anyone. But when you turn on Americans that you were sworn to protect as they exercise free speech that you were also supposed to protect, well, F**K YOU TRAITOR!
