An anti-war march tonight in Vancouver, Canada, was attacked by a driver who intentionally drove into demonstrators. Incredibly, no one was killed, despite the red sports car accelerating into the crowd and several people bouncing off the hood. A number of people sustained injuries, one woman breaking her leg.

Police at the scene barely reacted, not even giving chase as the vehicle sped off.

Despite this attack on the protest, at least 500 people carried on with their march in a steady rain to the Burrard Street bridge, which was shutdown for 20 minutes. The direct action was in solidarity with the courageous actions against this war across the world, including in the United States, where San Francisco in particular has been the scene of mass direct actions and mass arrests.

The anti-war movement in Vancouver and around the world will not give in to intimidation and repression, and will continue to take to the streets and engage in civil disobediance to denounce this imperialist aggression against the people of Iraq.

We have a legal system to deal with this sort of thing.
there are a million reasons why he/she might or might not have done it depending on how much truth there is to the story above.. anyway out of the 500 + people there, one of them probably took the number plate. As a result this would be in the process of being resolved.
