It's time to SHAME the electronic media... they are part of the war machine. Bush can not be shamed... perhaps those working within the media can.

...that had U.S. Intelligence PsyOps people working in the "Newsroom" as "interns"?
Go ahead but they can no more be shamed than the Pigs in D.C.

you're right.. CNN has no shame.
i think they would be a very good target for disruption and maybe mass civil disobedience, though.
i think most normal people have a lot of distrust and resentment of the corporate media.

Does anybody know if there's civil disobedience being planned for Saturday or Sunday?
Downtown San Francisco was shut down on Thursday and people are attempting it today as well. It seems like it's more difficult to do in Los Angeles for various reasons, but it should be attempted. Marches/rallies are fine, but I doubt they'll be key in stopping the war. We should make the cities and outlaying areas of the US ungovernable by doing massive civil disobedience and generally creating a situation of mass-non cooperation. Striking, walking out, blocking streets, taking over buildings (media, government buildings, oil corporations, etc etc etc.). And we need to do it now!
Shock and Awe has begun. The media reports that some U.S. soldiers have died, but how many Iraqi civilians have died?

Make big signs demanding the civilian and all death tolls. My sign reads: President Bush: How many people did you kill today?

A.N.S.W.E.R. this:
Who limits the critics of the war on CNN to wimpy democrats?
Who is doing the same thing at demonstrations microphones controlled by A.N.S.W.E.R. ???
Pragmatism is not merely compromise, it is collusion with the conspiracy of silence; it is lack of commitment, sincerity, and contemptible! But that is subtle ugly underside of coalition politics, were a veto on speakers is the linchpin, and dollar containment of the agenda is achieved and the passionate radical voices are barred!
And I know from where I speak -- and not allowed to speak!
Any yet this morning C-SPAN censored Prof Francis Boyle their scheduled guest when it mentioned the Nuremberg Principles.
Now if I got the microphone for 5 minutes, information that would be empowering and factual would be heard, and they know it, because I did two benefits for them this month at Molly Malone's -- but, I was unfit for the 15th!
So censorship of radical voices in the antiwar movement is running parallel with that on CNN, MSNBC, C-SPAN, and actually KPFK from my purged perspective as a former live on-air radical from Jan 90-Sept 95.
