We're on TV now!
I saw us on TV!
Iraqi Government TV showed footage of the American protesters. It's great to be a part of Saddam's propaganda machine. Long live brutal dictatorships and one-source media!

I, too, wore the uniform of the armed forces during the fist Gulf Massacre. This war is bullshit. Why don't you chickenhawks go die for oil. Nothings stopping you. If you're too old, sign up at one of those private war firms they have now, like DYNCORP. If you're too young, lie about your age.

a lot of veterans do oppose this war. i saw a letter some of them wrote the other day opposing the war. the list of names and ranks at the bottom of the letter was really long.
that makes sense considering how badly the USA takes care of it's veterans. you pro-war people say you "Suppor the troops". but you don't really support their safety at this moment. you don't really support their working class families who need help with money and helath care and education. you don't really support their housing and health care needs when they get home.
shit - YOu people are the ones who really must hate the troops. how else are people supposed to understand your behavior? anti-war people want the troops to have good lives! what do YOU want for them?!

above is another example of a gulf war vet being silenced.
last night on CSPAN, a call in show was disrupted when another gulf war vet called in and complained about this administration's and the previous bush administration's total lack of regard for veterans who are suffering from gulf war syndrome and all the bizzare diseases that they are getting not only from their exposure to biological weapons but also to the inoculations that the military gave them that were supposed to be protection against the effects of those weapons. the tv announcer cut off his call and went to a rebroadcast of bush's speech.
what more can be said, especially when there is only one member of congress who has a son in the military.
the pro-war morons above need to get a brain, buy a book on the constitution of the US, and learn what America is really about...please use your brain instead of your dick

isn't it ironic that iraq is the dictatorship we are supposed to be fighting, and yet with the growing demands for censorship of dissent and the general fact that the major media outlets are just a bunch of one-sided military suck-asses, its starting to look like a DICKtatorship over here. god damn america!

yes...this fact has been established in numerous progressive news outlets, while the mainstream has tossed it aside. makes it easier for congress and americans to bend over to bush's will to war, doesn't it.

What would happen if the major media talked about the stuff that you want them to talk about?
Everybody would change the channel.
At least you have the Internet to protest your government. More than the Iraqis have. Until next week.

"Everybody would change the channel."
And it wouldn't do at all to have the people change the channel, would it? Or, undergod forbid... Turn the damn thing off?!? That would be 'beyond the pale' (doesn't that POS phrase just make you want to hit something?).
And lets consider, what creates good ratings? Violence and sex. Thats it. The two are basically the same thing in a lot of ways. Good thing our administration has such a keen grasp of how to keep the viewers attention ("yeah billybob drop another MOAB, we're loosing 'em here...").
Undergod forbid that we discuss such boring topics as peace, not killing people, healthcare, education reform, ending racism, and not being afraid all the time. That would just completely fuck up the system wouldn't it.
TV is such a worthless waste of space. Who cares whats on it. Nothing but lies and propoganda anyways. Everyone has an angle. The only chance you have at survival is an open forum where you can be exposed to everyones angle, and pick which one is closest aligned to your personal angle. Whats that you say? You didn't know that YOU are allowed to have an angle of your very own?!? Wow you should try it sometime. Independant thought and decision making. What a world. Almost as if we lived in a free country...
You fascist assholes with your 'agree with us or shut up. shut up or get out.', you are such a damn disgrace to this great nation.
But thank undergod and lord ashcroft for this wonderfully free country of the freely free people who love freedom in all its godly glor. Terror bad. Freedom good. Free. Peace. Terror. Free.

All you "Americans", whining about how un-patriotic us "protesters" are..What a Joke!!!.. Does your idea of "Freedom of Speech" include demonizing the Dixie Chicks for their beliefs..Or how About "Freedom To Assemble" Why are these protestors blocking traffic"...Waaaaahhhh....nstead of worrying about tax-dollars, traffic back-up, and being late for work, why don't you support these folks standing up for something they believe in..Oh, but if it doesn't include "supporting the troops", well than we're a bunch of Saddam supporters, right?! That's garbage, and I bet most of the people saying it don't believe it themselves...The war must end!!!!..Blocking the streets is just the first step...How about coming down a litlle harder on LAPD, swinging their billy-clubs, like they're aiming for a pinata...Pigs, will be Pigs....

Propaganda thats anti american? How can citizens taking to the streets to exercise thier 1st amendment consitutional rights help Saddam?
Its un-american to act like an american? Its un-american to use the rights that make you an american?
How can Saddam say we are working for him? If anything it would work against him because we are allowed to protest here, and only get harrassed and beaten by the police. In Iraq you might get shot for doing the same thing.....

Who are you talking about America? Your American Empire is a Global DICTATORSHIP that attempts to enforce its Bloody RULE of the entire planet through Daisy Cutter Bombs and Fuel Air Explosives.
The truth Dictator on this planet is the American Empire--and Empire that deserves to be destroyed once and for all.
As for Iraqi TV, they are only reporting what the Global Media in general is reporting--that the dissent against America's Bloody policies around the world is rising even here in the Belly of the Beast. Too bad, America's Phony Free Press has desperately tried to downplay and minimize these protests.
