Without a doubt, the downpour in Los Angeles will cut down on the number of people who come out for the Sat. March 15th protest. DON'T DESPAIR... there are other opportunities for public expression against this insane war.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa and other religious leaders have initiated an international Candlelight Vigil against a war on Iraq. The vigils will take place this SUNDAY, MARCH 16TH. So far over 5,106 vigils have been scheduled in 123 countries.

Los Angeles is a well represented participant in this international action, with over 30 L.A. communities taking part in the vigil. For a full listing of Candelight Vigils in the Los Angeles area, visit the following URL:

Please bring your own candles & paper cups (to shield your hand from hot wax & to help in the wind); lighters will also be appreciated. Let's show the world how we feel with thousands of candles in the wind. Sunday, March 16, 7:00 PM
