the night before....

by fish-head Sunday, Mar. 16, 2003 at 4:44 AM

..

hey! so tomorrow's the big protest! what's everybody up to tonight? i'm having a couple beers before gettin' on the bus to go to work. i can just picture you all finishing dinner, getting on the phone, coordinating details and whatnot for tomorrow, maybe hanging out with friends. i bet you're all mostly in a good mood, right? i am. i know they're saying it's gonna rain but i can't help it. i still feel good. i got a raincoat i'm pretty sure i can borrow.

i love knowing 100% for sure for once, that Bush and Blair and all their advisors are wondering what's gonna happen tomorrow. you know for once they're really paying attention. and one thing is even more guaranteed: they are incapable of making the right choice.... you can be SURE that they will dig themselves in deeper. and they will make things worse for the whole world. it doesn't matter how hard they think about it. they'll stay dry and watch us and knit their brows and think hard but they're so crazy and isolated - they'll never decide to give up their war.

all these hawks - they've got themselves all cornered into their positions. they can't back down. these fools are totally crazy. but they can't tear their eyes away from us tomorrow.

it's so nuts - after tomorrow we'll probably get bigger and bigger while they attack. what are they thinking? they're crazy. they actually don't care how crazy things get. these fools are really just like, 'fuck it'. can you believe it? just so they don't look like punks - that's ALL, think about it. you have Tom Ridge predicting suicide bombings in the USA when the war starts and it doesn't make any difference. they can't punk out. that's what it comes down to. and we're all just trying to get them to calm the fuck down and they spit at us as if THEY're not shitting bricks. crazy. THEY are the ones who see armageddon every time they close their eyes but they keep saying 'fuck it.... fuck it all' like they have no fear or whatever - they say they're not afraid but even so you know tomorrow they can't help watching us like the hawks they are - watching our every move, trying to guage how bad they look, how far they have to fall.. but unable to do anything about it.

can you imagine being a cop at tomorrow's protest? i guarantee you a lot of those cop assholes are questioning the wisdom of this war. unlike the media CEO's, these cop assholes see our enormous movement first hand. i bet a lot of them are starting to have some unusual mood swings, you know what i mean? but they can't switch sides - they're not capable. the sad pigs are stuck in their slaughterhouse with the rest of humanity.... but they took the job, they took the money, didn't stop to care, thought their little personal lie would survive forever unexposed. FOOLS!!

my guess is that after tomorrow, history is going to speed up a bit. tonight is our night to savor whatever peace we still have. after tomorrow we're going to be comrades or fellow dissidents or whatever in a new way. we'll look back on tonight. please add your comments about what you're doing on this lovely night in L.A.
