Yeah, that's historic, all right

by h. a. treesong Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 6:08 AM

What's historic about it? Two women singing? Two women wearing hats? What?

Slightly cynical?

by dirtycommiechicana Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 8:53 PM

How sad that you cannot appreciate history in the making. The mass mobilization of a grassroots campaign for peace by an ethnic group which has generally been ignored (except to be scapegoated), is an historic event indeed.

Ahhh Peas.

>>The mass mobilization of a
>>grassroots campaign for peace

It's a Peace rally.

I was under the (mistaken) impression that, given the GIANT RAISED FIST, this appeared to be a "Beat the white oppressors ass" rally.

Silly me.

Maddog

by Pissed Off in Ohio Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 11:39 PM

He's just here to distract, create dissent, and confusion amongst the ranks.

If you try to hold a conversation with him, "Simple Simon", or "Bush Admirer", they will follow the same procedure like they were reading it out a manual.

First they will try to get you to justify your stance, baiting you into thinking that you might change their mind or sway their opinion. You won't. They get paid to do this shit.

Then, if they were successful in getting you to debate something with them, they will nitpick over semantics and references until you have forgotten what you were originally discussing from having delved so deeply into details. Preferably murky details with no clearcut definate answers.

If they were not successful in baiting you, or if they were and your logic is infallibly superior to theirs, they will attack you as a person ("Consiparcy Nut! Put on your aluminum hat!"), your motivations for excercising your right to free speech ("How dare you support terrorism!"), or your audacity for disagreeing with the bush administration ("How dare you not support our glorious godly leader Bush and his holy cleansing fire?!?").

And if none of that accomplishes anything, or even if it did but you happen to disagree with their employers ideals, your spelling and grammar will be subject to obsessivly anal nitpicking.

Just smile, nod, and get ready for it (ie, clean your gun, sharpen your sword, check your boots laces, etc), cause its coming.

Your days are numbered you assholes. We're on to you and we want our country back.

(BTW: "MadMax(im)" is probably the least skilled/devoted of them. Bush Admirer and Simple Simon are probably tied for biggest idiot. I guess those are their biggest "guns", though i suppose if you asked really nicely you might get karl rove himself in here. Fuck you all you're not getting away with this shit.)

POIO, thanks

by Maddog 20/20? Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 11:54 PM

Typical routine is to get the other party to answer to an argument that is not
addressing the main topic. There are all different fallacies techniques.
In the end they run the risk of seeming like your avoiding the issues if you don’t
address the fallacies that they present, and they will call you on it. The main reason being that their purpose, as you pointed out, is to simply argue. There is little beyond
arguing and winning, or maybe there for them. Possibly, may not. Who knows.,

but getting paid by Karl Rove and friends? Why? Most of the humbug is between
a dozen characters. What is the gain? I really don’t think there is any except personal blathering and combative nonsense. I don’t see how the “Fed” or others have an interest --unless they are wacko and nervous.

hasta
anyway....

I think they're wacko and nervous

by Pissed Off in Ohio Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 12:07 AM

Because they don't have as tight of a stranglehold on the Internet as they do TV, Radio, and Print.

So my guess is there's maybe 50 (or 15, or 500, who knows) of these guys, and all they do all day is try slow people down in the major forums, dillute peoples devotion to their cause, and/or just create confusion and dissent.

My guess is that rove is involved because a lot of their slanderous shit just seems like his kind of games... who knows though. We never will. When the time comes to get these roachs out of our whitehouse all these other little parasites will run like hell, and we'll never know who they really are. Who cares anyways though really. A dumbass is a dumbass regardless of if they're Joe Dumbass or Jane Dumbass.

Good thing these guys are so obvious. About as easy to sniff out as narcs at a hempfest.

yeah, okay

by Maddog 20/20? Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 12:14 AM

I vaguely remember an article on Israeli intelligence having a new interest in the internet for “outsourcing” if you will. Certainly the Brits found a document in CA, dossier-style.

Sure, I can understand the concern, but the things that these guys do here at la- indy are tiresome... what stifle the masses? I don’t get it.

Karl Rove? Nope never been to Texas

by MadMaxim Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 12:17 AM

You guys are little scary.

Do you believe in law and order?

Or should I just pack up the wife and kids and head to a cave in the dessert while you sort out your "revolution"?

What's going to be left over when you're done?

You seem to ~want this war so you'll have an excuse for revolution. That's nuts.

This species has amused itself to death.
