Dissent is exploding in Orange County.
small_01.jpg, image/jpeg, 512x384
Immediately after our traditional peace vigil at Anton and Bristol (which counted more than 200 people) people gathered at the Irvine Spectrum to participate in our most successful peace walk to date (but wait for the next one!). An already big contingent of 200-250 people grew bigger and bigger as we walked throughout the mall. At the end, hundreds of people wearing anti-war t-shirts, waging signs and Not in our name posters flooded the place making this one, possibly, the most unforgettable anti-war event seen in OC in recent times. As we walked by, people applauded and cheered the marchers and in many cases joined in.

After decades of presidents from the streets, like Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Jerry Ford, and Nixon, it's good to have an old fashioned oligarch like Bush in office. At least you know where he stands. He's out to represent for what he knows, which is the easy life of a millionaire politician.
Keep protesting Americans, because Bush will have you all exterminated. He's never met your kind, and don't like your kind, and don't care what you think.

I was at the peace walk and must say I was dissappointed. It was mostly fat moms and femmy dudes. What ever happened to the age of half-dressed cupcakes from Berkeley?

The Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional and struck down the "Alien and Sedition" Acts. And for good reason. A free and open debate, unrestrained freedom of speech, is a concomittant of a free society.
If you don't like it move. May I suggest China as being appropriate. They have all the restrictions on freedom you desire.

Dream your totalitarian dreams if you wish. However, I am heartened each day by the growing numbers of people who are awaking to the true threat to America. Those who would use the exigency of a temporary emergeny to permanently put them under the yoke of tyranny.
I will not go quietly into the night.

Hey I agree..there should be no war in the middle east...Instead lets take Saddam Hussein to a coffee house and read poetry and sing to him..and maybe he'll drop his weapons and and join in our peace. After all..the fact that he has weapons of mass destruction and is posed as a threat means nothing. The man has a heart....he just keeps it in a jar or something. And what the heck, he was a vital source of revenue for the poor people's family of those that ran those planes into the twin towers. Without him..those families would starve...he's a saint!

Bill,
I dont think there is value in taking Saddam out for Tea. He is an asshole who kills his own citizens. If you want to go to lunch with him, thats your perogative, but I think that a red-blooded hippy like you would want to poison his chamomoile.
A better idea would be to take his citizens out for tea- maybe to somewhere far away like in Georgia. The further away these people get from the 900 (?) cruise missle ballet the pentagon has planned, the safer these allready suffering people will be.

those that ran those planes into the twin towers. Who were those guys again? The 19 superterrorists from the Axix Of Eval? I think you should get real and stop believing that wacky conspiracy theory. No magic passports no invisable arabs, no wood framed WTC towers. Just criminal murder and treason. Home grown, in the U.S.A.

Like most of the rest of the Ignorati supporting the Bush Junta your argument is long on personal insults and short on facts.
You say Saddam is supporting the families of the "Suicide Terrorists of 911"?
Prove it. Where is you documentation? Can you even name the people who did it?
There were no Arabs on the Passenger Lists published by UAL or AA.
So, where do the names come from?
Why are 8 of the people named by the FBI still Alive? This is documented thoroughly.
You are operating from ignorance.
