A specific sampling of photos from today's protest march in Hollywood.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came to Hollywood today. Especially those who took mass transit. I've included some images that are a mergence of Hollywood and our protest march.
I was struck today by a conversation with a woman who remembers marching here in the 60's. It brought back memories for her. The march today was more poignant because she brought along her two pre-teen children. She felt both old and proud.
What they also learned to contend with was their first mass gathering. She explained that her kids had never experienced such a press of people in the streets before. Since so much of Los Angeles is car based, they've never had to walk down a crowded street. It made me realize that Los Angelinos really are separated from each other by their metal boxes. That the car culture in Los Angeles has forced isolation and fear of other humans.
I was so pleased to know they had survived the crowds and had become themselves a member of a global gathering for peace.
