On Sunday, February 2, 2003, the Cultural Center of Anahuac will have an educational forum and celebration for Mexica (Aztec) New Year. The event will feature presentations, traditional indigenous foods, and conversation circles. The celebration will culminate in the evening with a performance by Cuauhtemoc, an indigenous punk band from Santa Ana.

People of all ages and nationalities are encouraged to attend to learn more about indigenous culture and history. Donations are appreciated.
For more information, contact the Cultural Center of Anahuac at (714) 505-9975, or (714) 303-0004.
Event Schedule:
10AM-1PM- Presentations in Spanish
1PM-2PM- Lunch break
2PM-6PM- Presentations in English. Topics will include: The Mexica Calendar, Mexica History, What is Anahuac?, The Role of Indigenous Women
I hope this event isn't being put on by the backwards-thinking, stuck-in-the-60/70's mexica movement.
Others, it'd be cool to go.
"an indigenous punk band from Santa Ana?"
what the hell is that?
