Alhambra, intersection of Main Street and Garfield Avenue, in front of Edwards Stadium 14 Theater (5:30 to 6:30).

Montebello, intersection of Beverly Blvd. and N. Wilcox Ave. (Assemble at 5 pm at the corner of 2300 W. Beverly Blvd. and Morris Place (front of Army recruiting center) for march at 5:30 to demonstration site.

Peace Rally / Anti-war Demonstrations

Join us weekend afternoons in Brea, to say NO to a potential new war on Iraq. Let the Bush administration know that our tax dollars should be spent on our citizens, (the 40 million Americans who live below the poverty line or perhaps the 50 million Americans without healthcare) NOT to bomb innocent Iraqi civilians! Attacking civilians will not bring peace or security to us in the States; rather it will distance us from our allies and encourage more terrorist attacks against our civilians.

Let the Bush administration know that we protest such absurd tactics as the illegal roundup, detention and deportation of our Muslim and Arab citizens and neighbors. Illegal actions like these only create distrust between law-abiding citizens and our administration. As we promote “United we Stand,” we must also be conscious of the latter part, “Divided we Fall.” We must speak out against all tactics that promote hatred, distrust and animosity amongst ourselves. The more we delve into the separation of our citizens, the further we have to return to re-establish trust in each other.

We must come together and speak up now to stop this nonsense, stop this war! THE PEOPLE COMING OUT IN FORCE, IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN STOP THIS WAR. So, we invite everyone to come out, join us, express yourselves and be part of the growing anti-war movement. We are a friendly bunch and we welcome and encourage dialog in hopes to inform others as well as being informed ourselves. We are simply trying to provide a positive environment where people can gather, express their ideas and discuss alternative solutions to the problems we currently face. Please don't ignore this dire situation that will affect us all. Come out on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, even if just for a short while, to stand for peace and justice throughout the States and the world.

MAKE SOME NOISE!
Bring drums, bongos, kazoos, whistles, clappers, tambourines, trumpets, trombones, didgeridoos, buckets, salt shakers, etc. As they beat the drums of war we will beat the drums of dissent.
