As a professor of human rights I am so pleased to have been able to participate as both a demonstrator and a legal observer. It was marvelous and gratifying to see such a massive exercise of human rights (freedom of expression and association) by all
the demonstrators, and the respect of the law enforcement agents for the exercise of those rights by us.
Only if civil society continues to rise up and expresse itself peacefully like this can we the people stop the crazyness and unlawful actions of our government.

Thank you Americans! You make my job so much easier! I come to country sad and lonely for not have moneys, then the evil white man he give me job and training and I fell into evil capitalist cycle! I almost forget my humanity because of my evil evil 3.5 kids, white picket fence, and 2 car garage!!! MADNESS!!! Yes, now I realize capitalism is bad, very bad thing, and I want live in tent with four no five wifes and have no money, but real happiness without the evil capitalism! To continue I want to express my sorrow that your fanaticism is misguided. Use your powers for good and run for a local office rather than clog city streets. I think real honest experience would have a more profound effect on your outlook on life.

I don't pretend that I am always right or that I know all of the facts or that my opinion is worth more than most others--but I can be certain that the same can be said of all of us. Look at both sides closely before you blindly accept what you are told by ANYONE, especially another fanatic supporter of ANY cause. Be an independent thinker and come to your own conclusions.

If you want to lobby for peace, perhaps you should be aiming your negative efforts at thwarting terrorism rather than supporting opponents of terrorism. But I personally am more inclined towards positive efforts such as joining the armed services or voting in competent leaders or even voicing constructive criticism.

For the first time in my 60 years I am afraid to voice my opinion. I was against this war which I believe was for reasons other than WMD. Where are they? How long has it been since the president mentioned Bin Laden? I am afraid of Bush and his henchman. I didn't feel that way about Nixon. This administration has ruined our economy unto our grandchildren's adulthood, are ruining the environment, and appear to plan to keep us in a state of war until Bush leaves leaves his 2nd term. This country is changing into something that is not "American" and the piper will have to be paid. I say Impeach Bush, Cheney, and that idiot Rumsfield(or whatever his name is)!
