United airlines is 55% employee owned (they have 3 reps on the board) and has a strong union and relatively high wages. It has the potential to show the benefits of collectivism -- this is why it is under assault. What can we do to save it? They are in debt to the tune of several billion dollars. That's about $10 from each American. Hmm,....

What is meant by "Under Assault"? Who is attacking them and how?
And if organized labour is the 'cancer of capitalist society' then why do the most succesful capitalist countries (in terms of UN conditions for desirable places to live eg Canada, EU, Australia, etc) have large amounts of unions??? (See the "Bush called moron" story for the stats)

Should be happily ever after provided you Americans can shut the fuck up and limit the fucking up of everything to your own country.

I tried to get through to United's Mileage Plus Award Reservation service for three days in a row... I kept getting busy signals for hours, hitting redial over and over... when I finally got through, I wound up on hold for over an hour waiting to talk to an agent. I could sense that the agent was completely overworked, and was not in a good mood (and rude). Terrified that I would have to go through all of the calling again, I didn't comment on her attitude and thanked her over and over again for the assistance... The hell if I want my tax dollar going to bail out this mismanaged company, even if it is $10.00. I wouldn't give them shit... This is America, and we have a free market economy. Businesses that have shitty products and/or service eventually go out of business, and a more savvy company takes their place. This should be the case with United. I feel sorry for the overworked remaining employees that will eventually lose their jobs when the incompetent management team drives the company into the ground. It WILL happen; it's just a matter of time. On a recent flight in first class, an attendant wouldn't even bring me a fucking apple or snack. What the fuck am I paying for first class for? They suck, and the attendant was a snobby bitch. These people need to be fucking fired. What the hell is wrong with the overpaid management? Are these people smoking crack or something?

Organized labor is a cancer... the days that unions served a useful purpose passed fucking decades ago. And Canada is last fucking place I would want to live... You actually think your country is a fucking model or something? Fuck your shit, asshole... stuff it up your whiny ass!

I recently was forced to fly God-forsaken UA from Frankfurt to Dulles. It was the most miserable trip of my life. It started off by me getting a seat that had such a worn out cushion that I thouhgt I was sitting on springs and a metal plate. When I complained, the flight attendant got all snooty, and I told the guy I would not sit in that seat for 9 hours. The employees were exceptionally rude in general and the food sucked. There was no air and we sweltered. You'd think that for an airlines that is about to go under they'd at least try harder. Fuck 'em. I say let 'em sink.

If United is "under assault", then so are most all the other airlines. Do they ever show a profit? I can't remember the last time the majors did. Some of the new airlines like SouthWest and JetBlue are making money.
So how exactly are they "under assault" any more than the other major airlines?
Under the seperate subject of "potential to show the benefits of collectivism", I have every reason to believe that collectivism can work in a small and maybe medium sized business. "Collectivism" in the sense that all decisions on behalf of the company are made equally by all employees interested in participating in such matters. Large (and really medium-sized) company's are a different matter. A thousand workers all wanting equal say just doesn't work. Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

You were given a shit economy by Clinton, just like Carter gave Reagan a shit economy. But no one can fuck the poor like we liberals. That's the best thing about us. We promised the blacks we'd help them for the last 100 years and we fuck them over everyday. Just give 'em enough money to stay in the ghetto and they'll vote for us. What dupes!!
