Just before I logged on here @ LA IMC & read the tragic news on line, my bus on Wilshire passed the Ambassador Hotel where RFK was assassinated in 1968. Every time I pass that spot I pause and think of that long ago horror that in many ways ended the hope of the 1960's.

Now I read comments On MINNEAPOLIS IMC - some declaring "probably Wellstone died in a conspiracy" and others decrying "conspiracy theories".

First, I doubt anyone has enough info within hours of the event to conclude one way or the other.

Second, I never hear anyone condemn "co-incidence" theories.

Third, I suggest our fellow IMC-ers in MINNESOTA- help avoid the mistakes we who lived thru assassinations, or strange deaths from Lumumba in the Congo to JFK to reporter Ruben Salazar in LA in 1970 experienced

- INTERVIEW LIVE WITNESSES ON TAPE OR VIDEO ASAP before "officials" get to them. Try especially to get to those who had access to the plane or the control towers involved. Also get hold of any hapenstance video/audio recordings of the crash & its aftermath [e.g. the Zapruder film] . Also try to get copies of any official investigative reports A.S.A.P.

This is an importatn event- it shifts control of the Senate, at least temporarily to the GOP. So Twin Cities IMC, lead the charge. INVESTIGATE, DON'T SPECULATE.
