The definition of patriotism

In the past year we have seen the US Constitution gutted under the US Patriot Act, an immense and lenghtly piece of legislation forced down the throats of congress with out review or debate much to the detriment of the american people. And while at the present moment our only salvation from this juggernaught of un-american ideaology is the very court system which ignored its own principles and effectivly installed King George W Bush (a not to distant relative of none other then King George of England whom out founders fought the war of revolution against if my sources are correct) to steer the great ship of empire know as the USA. Well the word patriotism means love of ones country. And I do love this land I was born into. I still enjoy freedom of speach, but current events may soon be taking this sacred virtue of this land from me (http://www.raisethefist.com) thus I thought it would be proper to remind you all of this. A patriot is one who loves his country, by definition love of ones government is a whoely seperate matter. I am a patriot I love this country but currently I find the actions of my govenrment to be thourally disgusting. Senators and representative who are suppoed to be doing the will of the poeople have recieved a mandate from the people to overwhelmingly not goto to war in Iraq. Yet congress ignores its sacred duty and rubber stamps the war legislature of a illegitamate regiem.
