Al Bowman & the LA Music Awards went to court to determine whether or not this show will happen. Due to procedural errors on the part of Wisner & attorney Steven J. Aaronoff, the judge threw out their request for the emergency court session.

September 16, 2002:.
For the 2nd time, due to procedural errors on the part of Wisner & attorney Steven J. Aaronoff, the judge threw out their request for the emergency court session.

September 17, 2002:
For the 3rd time, Due to procedural errors on the part of Wisner & attorney Steven J. Aaronoff, the judge threw out their request for the emergency court session.

September 20, 2002:
Wisner & attorney Steven J. Aaronoff’s injunction to stop the 2002 LA Music Awards was denied due to insufficient evidence. The show will go on! Bruce Wisner’s use of cocaine, unprofessional behavior at events an his sexual mistreatment of women are now on public record.

Brief Recap:
NAARAP & The LA Music awards Co-Owner Bruce E Wisner of Highline Entertainment is suing his partner Al Bowman, seeking an injunction to stop this years 12th Annual LA Music Awards show. Wisner is also further suing Mario Maglieri (owner of the Rainbow Bar & Grill, Whiskey-a-go-go and also named as the lifetime honorary mayor of the sunset strip).

Wisner, A Colorado resident, came to town to build his organization NAARAP, (North American Academy of Recording Artists and Producers), an organization which claims non-profit status by providing music scholarships for inner city kids. To date, no scholarships have been given, nor have any qualifications or applications been provided. Wisner is endorsed by Oppenheimer Funds Services & Highline Entertainment.

Al Bowman, founder of the LA Music Awards has been putting on the show annually for the last eleven years to honor local musicians. He was inspired by a 3 hour conversation he had on March 3, 1991 with legend of the Sunset Strip Bill Gazzarri. During the conversation, which occurred only 3 days before he died, Gazzarri bequeathed onto Bowman the title of “Godson of Rock-n-roll” then handed him his trademark white Fidora hat and gave him his blessing to go out and be the voice of independent music in Los Angeles. Some of those who have gone on to success following recognition from the LA Music Awards include Alien Ant Farm, Everclear, Zebra Head, Jennifer Paige, Save Ferris, Tia Texada and others. On November 21st 2000, the Mayor of Los Angeles declared the day to be LA Music Awards day. Angels on Earth Music For Healing Foundation will be honoring Al Bowman at their November 14th sixth annual awards banquet.

Unfortunately, as usual,the truth never comes to light until the people realize they have been had. Bill Board Magizine, Rock City News, and several of the most trusted financial periodicals have all written articles on the merrits of Bruce Wisner. Mr. Wisner has been recognized as both a financial leader and philanthropic patron of the arts. It is a sad state of affairs when someone whom has spent hundreds of thousands of his own personal monies on charities, foundations and the school in a box program to be subjected to unfounded and unresearched nonsence. Perhaps this is why so many wealthy individuals choose not to get "involved" with charities that .benifit the less fortunate.

I recently saw a posting on your web site re: Bruce Wisner. I have known Mr. Wisner for 5+ years and found this posting rediculous. Mr. Wisner personally invested over 60,000 dollars to provide for staff, media exposure and the rental of well known music venues in L.A. to develop the L. A. Music Awards. The magazine "Music Connection" did an excellent feature article on his eforts in the summer or 2001.

Rumors and unsubstanciated facts run rampant in L.A. , however a little homework would have shown Mr. Wisner's accomplisments throughout his long successful carreer.

I have done business this individual for over 15 years.

After a little research, I found the hosting site defaming Mr. Wisner based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

I find it very interesting that so many respected periodicals have written about Bruce Wisner despite this negativity from a site in Brazil.

Well, I don't do business in brazil. When I do, maybe I will listen.

Meanwhile, until then, the recent article by the "London Financial Times" mentioning Mr. Wisner as the new "kid on the block" financially speaking is good enough for me.

Al Bowman is a liar and a scumbag scammer. Unlike Mr. Wisner, Mr. Bowman never pays his bills. He currently owes over $50,000 on the 2008 LA Music Awards and is currently trying to scam unsuspecting bands and sponsors out of even more. It's time to expose this criminial fraud and put Mr. Bowman where he belongs, in jail. Once there, let's hope he gets buttfucked by some other criiminal, because he's been buttfucking those of us in the music business for years.

Awards, that this years show was top notch and a stellar success. Everything I was lead to believe it would be by Mr. Al Bowman was right on the money. I as well as all other performers and nominees were kept informed (if they took the time to say informed) throughout the year as to updates, changes necessitated by our economy and any information we needed to be aware of through their various web sites.

Mr. Bowman was definitely a gentleman in his dealings with me and came through with all promises. I also know from other people close to the source that no one was left not being paid and that whatever was negotiated behind the scenes is none of anyones business to begin with.

Mr. Bowman is an honorable man, produces a wonderful event for us independent musicians as well as provides us a venue to futher promote ourselves and our music.

Mr. Bowman is to be commended and anyone who is thinking about submitting their music to the 2009 awards show or looking to sponsor the show or a musician for the show, I thoroughly recommend it!!

I was a wonderful evening and I think you will find it can be wonderful too.

I recently meet Mr. Wisner at a dinner party held at his beachfront house in Hawaii. I have never met an individual as unique and brilliant as Bruce. I am currently residing in the islands. What I found amazing about this individual is how amused at the ridiculous stories re: his lifestyle on the net reported by some guy named Al Bowman. Most people would be pissed. However as he stated "why do I care about the opinions of poor uneducated con artists".

In my opinion, I will always stand up for the guy who let me use his private plane.

Look for a book at a store near you. His story makes any Cosmo article look like amatuer hour.

Book deal will blow your mind. Story has everything people love to read about wall street power couples.

Is there a reason why such a defective breathes everyone else's air?
