Howard Phillips Smokes Sir Alan Greenspan in 150 Words or Less

Washington's Conservative Caucus Chairman Howard Phillips smokes Sir Alan Greenspan in 150 words or less on the latter's understanding of the American Constitution.

August 7, 2002

Hon. Alan Greenspan, Chairman

U. S. Federal Reserve Board

20th Street and Constitution Avenue, N. W.

Washington, D. C. 20551

Dear Mr. Chairman:

I noted in this morning's "Washington Post" that you expect to be awarded a knighthood by her Majesty's government in the United Kingdom.

In order to help spare you embarrassment, I call to your attention the provision of Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution of the United States which asserts that, "No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

I would urge you to either secure advance Congressional approval for your receipt of this title, or that you respectfully decline.

Thank you for your consideration.

With personal best wishes, I am

Sincerely,

Howard Phillips

Chairman

The Conservative Caucus, Inc.

...didn't have his head irreversibly lodged in his ass, he'd know that a knighthood isn't a title of nobility.

A knight is a commoner, not a peer (for that matter, so is a baronet; both are addressed as "Sir so-and-so"; the difference is that a baronetcy is inheritable while knighthood isn't).

Phillips is not only way off base, he isn't even in the right ballpark.

What a woowoo.

Dear Mr. Proctologist--Spoken like a true Zionist central banker. Do you have an account at Bank Leumi or what? Now I think Mr. Phillips deserves some credit as a man of Jewish background who isn't run by the Big Boys.

And by the way, you seem to be quite anally fixated. You're not gay, are you?

What's your reference for a knight being a commoner and not a peer?

Sir Alan and the Bankers

Thinking of Sir Alan reminds us of the draconian destruction of individual liberties in America with the onset of direct federal income taxation and the advent of the Federal Reserve Board.

How many of us out there want a global war for Sharon, UNOCAL, Exxon-Mobil, and Halliburton Oil that will cost the lives of thousands, even millions of innocents, both American and non-American?

It all began with direct federal income taxation and the creation of the Fed---and the draconian onset of an imperial Presidency fronting for the real political and economic powers that be---who also have obtained a bought-and-paid-for Congess as another personal toy.

The Maine, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, the Bay of Pigs, November 22, 1963, the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, the ongoing activities of the Secret World, 9-11, the Oil and Natural Gas Wars, and the burgeoning Tax and National Security States---all symptomatic of a great Constitutional experiment gone awry---suggest that the latest machinations at home and abroad have started the ticking of the clock.

Time is running out for innocent people everywhere. Let Sir Alan be knighted---in celebration of a Constitution past and the twilight of a once great nation now destined to join Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon, Xerxes' Persia, Alexander the Great's Grecian empire, and Domitian's Rome on the ashheap of history.

And it need not have been.

The things that truely bother me about Alan greenspan being Knighted are , what did he do to deserve being knighted, I don"t like the man who is in direct control of the value of my money being a charge of the queen of england, and Knighthood is exactly the type of title or honor the must be okayed by the congress. might I also suggest that this may be the reason that Congressman Traficant is a political prisoner. Maybe he would not go along with the program. Another thing one may think about, did the Federal reserve garentee the credit of the specialist on the New York stock exchange to give the specialist time to reinvest the crown holdings, so the crown would not lose . Another thing that might be considered, maybe that one hundred thirty two million credit extension to argentina took the bank of england off the hook. And if these reasons are no enough to get you thinking, Just what will Alan do in the future with the value of our money , as A charge of the Queen.
