The inaugural LA-IMC TV show will be "airing" on local Cable Television
this week. On ADELPHIA Channel 77 at 6pm on Monday August 19. On AT&T Channel 43 at 6pm on Thursday August 22. (*see below to clarify which Adelphia or AT&T service areas will be carrying LA-IMC TV) LA-IMC TV Show #1: Host: Alan Minsky Guest: Ernest Savage Special Thanks: Gina Record The show features four video segments from Indymedia Newsreal: - The first is about the privatization of the welfare-to-work program in LA County; and was produced by Ernest Savage. - The second segment is on the anti-World Economic Forum (WEF) protests in NYC this past February. - The third segment also concerns the same anti-WEF demonstrations, but focuses on how the neo-liberal economic policies advocated by the WEF have produced the on-going crisis in Argentina. - The final segment documents a journey to Afghanistan by relatives of victims of September 11. NB: As this is our first show, it's something of a "spring training" show -- once we hit our stride we'll be digitizing each episode and making them available on the web (through this site). *If you have ADELPHIA Cable service and you live in EAGLE ROCK, HIGHLAND PARK, ECHO PARK, SILVER LAKE, LOS FELIZ, HOLLYWOOD, WEST LOS ANGELES, WESTWOOD, SANTA MONICA, or the entire range of (high-rent) communities in the Santa Monica Mountains (e.g. HOLLYWOOD HILLS, LAUREL CANYON, BEL AIR etc, and the hills above SHERMAN OAKS, WOODLAND HILLS etc) -- then... The LA-IMC TV show will be on CHANNEL 77 on MONDAY August 19 at 6pm. *However, if you have AT&T cable service and you live in DOWNTOWN LA, HOLLYWOOD, MARINA DEL RAY, MAR VISTA, VENICE, CULVER CITY, or the WILSHIRE/FAIRFAX DISTRICT -- then... The LA-IMC TV show will be on CHANNEL 43 on THURSDAY August 22 at 6pm.

Why don't you encode it for here?by curious Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002 at 12:12 PMwhy don't you encode it using real producer and put it up here?
make sure to encode for multiple bandwidths, otherwise it will look horrible if it is encoded only for low bandwidth.

Working on itby LA IMC TV collective Tuesday, Sep. 10, 2002 at 6:20 PMWe are planning on encoding the shows and making them available through this site -- but we probably won't get around to it before late October /early November (at which point we'll have done 5 or 6 shows).
