Though the committee is ostensibly investigating 'eco-terrorism', it is the business interests themselves, presented at the hearing as victims, who are terrorizing and pillaging the earth, and all life on it, in the name of their Lord Profit.
Numerous government, law enforcement and business interests will be present, yet Craig will be the only voice speaking on behalf of the forests, on behalf of natural human and animal life which is so under threat from the voracious greed of consumerist society. He will also be the only person speaking on behalf of all the individuals who work to defend life and their right to do so, whatever approach they make take.
It is a daunting task, in such a setting, against such a blindly consuming mindset, and Craig needs the support from all people of conscience, regardless of personal ideology.
Although he stands unaccused of any illegal action, he faces indefinite imprisonment under the guise of "contempt of court" charges. This is such a blatant case of persecution based on idealogy, that it sets a precedent dangerous to all who seek social and envoronmental justice. Please rally in support of Craig, and voice your opposition to the disintegration of citizen rights for the benefit of corporate profit.
There will be solidarity actions in DC, Boston, Detroit, LA and Olympia Washington, among other places.

Solidarity.
Hopefully, he won't say much. The congress is going to rake him over the coals, and cut up whatever he says into incriminating sound bites. I don't agree with some of what elf does, but this could turn into a fiasco. And not just for elf actions, but for all kinds of direct action.

AMERICA: BORN TO RAISE HELL" God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.... [W]hat country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." -Thomas Jefferson, 1787.
It's good to remind oneself in this time of mandatory patriotism that the people who founded the United States of America had recently taken up arms to overthrow a government, and felt that all citizens should be prepared to overthrow the government they were setting up, if necessary.
