Thousands of people converged in San Diego for BioJustice 2001 the week of June 22-27, 2001 to voice broad concerns about food safety, the inequalities in the world, the patenting of life for private control, and other environmental issues.
Also convening in San Diego was dangerous police state that must be firmly opposed. The October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality stands with the protesters and opposes the police attempts to intimidate, harass, arrest, detain and scare protesters. We will not tolerate suppression and criminalization of dissent. Instead, we are committed to organize people to oppose the increased repression against those involved in political dissent in this country.
