Students and workers carried out a civil disobedience action in the middle of la Jolla Village Drive today, stopping traffic for more than 30 minutes. Several students and workers were arrested.

I have this on video tape, i saw howard, and everyone on tv. how cool! I'm so happy! Its about time that those peolpe going to work in La Jolla who are totally unaware with the plight of the UCSD janitors. I know a few, personally, I know the Lead personally, I know from him that he thanks everyone for their support, he said that if he wasn't working, that he'd have totally come out and thanked the UCSD students. Univision actually covered the protest very well, i'll check other channels. z

I was there...it was empowering. Glad to be part of such a positive movement here in San Diego. SEJ itself is diverse and the people are POSITIVE and VALIDATING. Let's keep up the work!
