I photographed this young Republican arguing with anti-Bush Demonstrators in front of the Century Plaza Hotel. The squeaky clean young Man in his button down shirt and tie had walked out of the Hotel holding an official "Bush- Cheney" election poster. He wanted to provoke a reaction from the crowd, and the protestors obliged him. With remarkable courage the young Man walked into the crowd of protestors and professed his loyalty to Bush. Attempts were made at reasoned argument, but I'm afraid things soon broke down into a shouting match. The frustrated young fellow began to yell, "Why don't you all go live in a Communist Country?!" Protestors chanted back, "Fascist! Fascist!" I snapped my photograph when a beautiful Woman stepped up behind the Bush supporter and held up a hand scrawled sign reading, "I'm with Stupid."
The Republicans' favorite tactic is to infiltrate a handful of people into protests to get their pictures taken. Looks like they got their pictures taken.

The best part was the conversation when the guy noticed my sign. Here it is, verbatim:
Bushwacker: I don't get it. Who's "stupid?"
Me: (Silence. Smile.)
Bushwacker: Really, I don't get your sign.
Whose side are you on, I can't tell.
Me: (Silence. Smile.)
Bushwacker: Who is "stupid"?
Me: (Silence. Smile)
Bushwacker: Come on. Who is "stupid"?
Me: Dubya.
Bushwacker: Oh, good, I voted for him too.
Case closed....
