Individuals from numerous activist/political groups turned out to communicate their views to G. W. Bush during his visit to Camp Pendleton on 29 May 2001. Among the issues presented: Demanding that Bush ask the FERC to implement rate caps (see "
http://www.powertothepeople.org), opposition to the death penalty, women's reproductive/health rights.
All of these peaceful people were prevented from entering the base ("federal property"), and and conveying their sincere and important messages directly to Bush.
THANKS!! to all those who helped organize and/or participated in the rally. The work continues...act now, do not remain silent, and get your communities to follow suit!
