I'm not particularily a Naderite, as electoral politics is not the most powerful means of social change in my opinion. But I find it reprehensible that some blame Nader for every atrocious thing Bush does - for several reasons. First you should get off your lazy ass and focus your outrage where it belongs - on the Republican greedmongers and the spineless democrats. Its so easy to sit there and blame Nader, when he has spent HIS WHOLE CAREER fighting big nasty corporations and protecting the little guy. What the hell have you done besides snidely fingerpoint? I'm referring to the general behavior of Democrats and anti-Nader fingerpointers. At being called a spoiler, Nader's own response was "How can I spoil something that's spoiled to the core?" It brought tears to my eyes when Nader was addressing the prison industrial complex, or eco-devestation, or reforming drug laws, or fighting globalization and poverty. I was touched because I had NEVER in my life expected anyone on national t.v to speak anything close to the truth. Finally here was someone daring to point out issues that were apperantly NON-issues to motherfucking republicans and the democrats. Apparently the suffering of millions isn't worthy enough to address for the republicrats. Don't get me wrong, I know there are hard working people in the democratic party who really want to see significant changes - but the problem is - their party majority doesn't discuss anything remotely anti-corporate or controversial. The "truth" is a matter of political convenience and not based in reality. Nader was the only chance the American people had - at having serious questions of social justice and environment asked - let alone resolved or answered. Of course he wasn't allowed in the presidential debates - for fear that he would actually influence the American public, and be recognized as the only sincere candidate with integrity. God forbid America saw self-interest at stake in Nader's success. You can go back to your pathetic sell out bullshit compromise prostituted police state corporate puppet parties - but some of us never will. We want a real democracy and that's going to involve not just Ralph Nader, but a revolution, and a good amount of truth telling for starters, which would involve a democratic media apparatus which we don't have. Thank goodness for the IMC, but its not enough. We will have to SEIZE the means of communciation to reach the public at large. That's what its going to take to make any significant progress in this movement. Incremental progress is just not good enough with the various crisis we're facing. REVOLUTION isn't just a big mass sweeping transformation - it is also a variety of revolutionary actions that gets us closer to our goals. I suggest making the corporate media a target at these mass actions we go to, and at other times too. Its a pro-active type of action not just a reactionary one, although those are important confrontations too. We should lauch a strike against the media because they are after all the main reason that this fascist chimp got into the Whitehouse. They're also the main reason we'll NEVER have a democracy. As long as most Americans have illusions about the kind of corporate fascist police state we're living in - we're never going to get the support we need to succeed. One of the reasons the 1960's movement was destroyed was because they got too isolated from the support of middle America. Kropotkin the Russian revolutionist said that no matter how "talented and energetic" a segment of the population was - we would still need the support of the mass. He suggested "uniting the dissatisfied elements" which our coalitions are starting to do - but to really be effective we need the support of the public at large, other wise the mighty State will go on FOREVER. I think seizing the meia, intimidating a goal as it is - is by far the most worthy for the risks we take anyway. Imaginge being able to speak of the things that really mattered, to speak truthfully and honestly and make "Freedom of Speech" actually mean something. Imagine communicating to the public without some obscene censorshit. We can do it if we put our minds to it. GO FOR IT COM-RADZ. What do we have to lose but our lives - which we're losing anyway. Good luck.

your comment was pretty dumb. He may be somewhat of a capitallist - but he's far from dumb and he sure spent a hell of a lot more years fighting evil greedy institutions than you have - I bet.
Anarchist HQ wont let me vote Nader in 04 much as i'd like to.I have a lot of time for Kropotkin too until he blew it supporting WW1.Mutual aid(co-operation)is stronger than competition.Blame canada
Kerry and Bush are cousins, and both sworn to the agenda of Skull and Bones. They are both theocrats. There is no difference between them. Nader, like the libertarian and constitutionalist candidates, offered a protest vote. The democrats are in denial who bash Nader that thier party has been absorbed into the one party system in the U.S. Democan=Republicrat.
P.S.
Warcry, I am in love with you. Email me pleeeze!
