Dear fellow activists and indy media persons--

On SATURDAY OCT 21st, from 8AM to 4PM we will be having a very crucial

HUGE FLEA MARKET FUNDRAISER

This is to raise money for the documentary the IMC has made about the DNC week in August --

"Crashing the Party: The Democratic Corporate Convention 2000" We are sending copies of this video all over the country so that it can be seen before the Nov. 7th election day. That means we need to fundraise at least 0 for tape dubs, fed ex, etc....CAN WE DO IT? yes...but....of course....

Only with your help and participation... so what can you do to help?

1.) drop off your donated items on the AM of 10/21 to our location - the parking lot on the corner of

EDGECLIFF DRIVE and SUNSET BLVD....(Edgecliff is a street between Lucille and Maltman, and is in the Silverlake area.) Come as early as you can - 8 AM we open shop for serious "junkers"!

Please dont dump stuff off near the end of the sale - it will only get re-donated to Goodwill.

THINGS THAT USUALLY SELL: furniture, electronics (working please), kitchenware, music, books, framed art, collectibles, junque and unusual finds, clothes that can be used for Halloween costumes.

2.) our IMC friend John Kawakami can do a ONE TIME ONLY PICK UP of your donations on a date

before the 21st - but he is only going on one round of pick ups, and he has a regular sized truck.

Please tell John what you have and coordinate with him directly: 818 543 0864 evening phone

or email him: johnk@firstlook.com.

3.) Tell your friends about this cool sale! Come yourself! clip and paste "flyer" below and email your lists of folx. Make sure lots of people know about it so we can sell sell sell....

All of the funds are going to the Independent Media Center, Los Angeles, a non profit alternative media orgaization that helped activists during the DNC have a place to be heard on TV, radio and web. Our new documentary will help progressive causes even more! Thanks for your support.
