For those at the WTO protest and the coming DNC battle

by RONAN Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 8:25 AM
xpz@att.net P.O. Box 99050, stockton CA, 95209

This is our time to change the world... and I can think of no better philosophy than to live your life in the way you wish this world to be, not accepting anything less than ultimate freedom for yourselves and your Brothers and Sisters...

40,000 minds enflamed,

with fists upraised for battle,

the children of a coming God,

descended on Seattle,

The common bond between them,

was love for brotherhood,

it extended across the planet,

where poor and vagrant stood,

Their Will could not be defeated,

by centurion clubs and guns,

there unity was their victory,

before the day begun,

Those in power thought,

Thier spirit would not stand,

But a pillar can't be broken,

which extoles a love for man,

America's delusion broke,

On an unassuming day,

The people had a Voice,

Which cried for change of ways,

Men and Women chanted,

That money wasn't king,

Arms linked Passions Promise,

and made the world to sing,

The Time had come at last,

Though it fostered many years,

A love for humankind,

that brought my soul to tears,

We are sick of all the Greed,

We don't believe the lies,

Thrust upon the world,

By Corruptions Compromise,

Some Succumed to Violence,

A peak at things to come,

For those who fail to realize,

That the World is One,

If we don't build this together,

Its walls will never stand,

True Freedom will only come,

By helping fellow man,

We blossomed on Seattle,

We shook the Power base,

The Armoured thugs couldn't stop us,

with pepper spray and mace,

They only showed their weakness,

like tyrants have before,

Right before their downfall,

In many tales of yore,

For Humanities cause had spoken,

To change the Status Quo,

Our dream cannot be broken,

By freedoms deadly Foe,

The day has come for Brotherhood...

And Those that Saw it Understood...

A word of caution.

by Clay Shaw Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 1:00 PM

While everyone prepares to come to LA and start or participate in the riots this up coming week. In the event you are empowered and feel bold in the wake of Seattle and Philly, avoid committing the same mistake President Kennedy made when he went to Dallas. Don't let it go to you head.

Clay Shaw? How Ignorant...

Clay Shaw, what a clever moniker. The only man to face conspiracy charges in the death of JFK. Sounds pretty dark. And your suggestion that protestors will be "rioting" sound VERY ignorant. The only "rioting" that has transpired in this movement to date has been by POLICE. I hope you find peace in your life.

riot?

While I don't believe that riots are the correct word, police are not the only ones to get violent. In Philly, my limo had it's tires popped and window smashed by vandals during the convention. Who was inside, not delegates, but a couple trying to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in the city where they met. Gotta love those non-violent vandals. They never do anything wrong.

j112555@aol.com no thanks everywhere

Right on Ronan!! As children of the 60's it's very inspiring to see that the candle hasn't flickered out! The cause is still alive and well in those of your generation who have the wisdom and insight to see through the bullshit and take a stand. May the gods be with you in your fight for truth and justice! THEY CAN'T TAKE US ONE BY ONE 'CAUSE WE WON'T GO ONE BY ONE!!!
