What if an eye got hit by a rubber bullet?

by TheNewOhioGreen Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 4:07 PM

You know, I don't think my companies HMO would cover that. If only it were possible for some sort of national health care plan to exist... But that's impossible, no nation is rich enough to pay for the medical care of *everyone*, especially those too lazy to work...

Besides, CNN says these protesters threw bottles and cement, and even if only a few of them were actually doing it, well, they're all filthy, young, not-rich people anyway. It's not like anyone cares.

Thank heaven that none of this was on television, otherwise I might have missed Larry King interviewing Jimmy Carter. It was spellbinding television, and I understand the sacrifices the LAPD have taken by not showing us the footage that surely exists of this incident. We'll just have to take their truthful word for it...

L.A.P.D.

by L.A. RESIDENT Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 4:55 PM

There was no need for the L.A.P.D. to use their horses on women, children, and innocent people. August 15, 2000 is a day that will always bring disturbing images. I was there, I witnessed a horse stomping on a woman with its back feet. It was terrible, there was no where to run.

Please continue to report accurate information concerning the DNC.

Fight the Power.

Coverage sucks

There is no coverage here in Vancouver. Cnn is disgusting. There are just so many people here who have NO IDEA what is going on just a few hours away! People have no idea. There is zero in the paper. Something has to happen so that everyone knows. Keep trying!

For those about to die...

If we all have guns with real bullets, won't we win?

Perhaps that is what this independent media represents.

But we need to get serious soon.
