I am posting this here because Jason Halprin, a fascist pig who poses as a "progressive" activist, has blocked my IP, preventing me from posting on his fake Indymedia site in Las Vegas, Nevada. He calls it "Las Vegas Indymedia," even though it is not part of the Indymedia network-- and as long as it remains within Jason's evil clutches, it never should be allowed to be. Jason routinely violates every principle which Indymedia stands for, and is an enemy of free speech and democracy. He arbitrarily banned me from a Tech Collective meeting on January 2, 2005, and has not held any Tech Collective meetings since then. He has hidden many of my posts, and now has even blocked my IP to prevent me from posting, thus making a mockery of the concept of an open newswire. His most outrageous action, however, was getting the manager of the Pride Factory, where a general meeting was being held, to call the police on me to kick me out and suppress my free speech rights. He did that despite claiming to follow a consensus procedure, and despite the fact that I voted to block the proposal to ban me. He is a vicious fascist pig, a ruthless petty tyrant, and a despicable hypocrite. L.A., huh? You know, one of my worst fears is that since Las Vegas has the rep is oh, so deserves, then this place will be passed over when it comes to leftist inspection. As a result of Vegas' isolation, it'd be a damn shame if the city of angels, if the home of Hollywood only knew Jason Halprin through the deranged eyes of Steve Hampton.

Hampton, on the other hand, has had his moments, but for the MOST part, he shows up at meetings, gets overly anal about how us young whippersnappers don't know how to be REAL revolutionaries, and either tries to start something with somebody or storms off. Does that sound very positive and constructive? We all have times when we lose it, but Hampton loses it all the damn time. I've seen this firsthand and have been a victim of his madness myself.

And after I gave Hampton more coverage than he's EVER gotten from ANYBODY, he betrays me by publicly claiming that I'm a tool of the system because I didn't say something in my weekly newspaper column that he wanted said. He's either a plant or psychotic, but in either event, HE'S NOT TO BE TRUSTED OR TAKEN THE LEAST BIT SERIOUSLY.

He'll no doubt respond to this, claiming that I'm holding the left back because I'm not calling for an armed incerection. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like to me that if the goal is armed incerection, then an obscure weekly alternative newspaper column (saablofton.com) ain't gonna do the trick. If you're going to be like Che, be like Che. I'm more like Michael Moore, and if there's something wrong with that, let me know. But as I recall, John Brown didn't make Frederick Douglas feel like shit just because he didn't come along to raid Harper's Ferry ...
