The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), is spending billions of dollars on building new schools. It is not unusual to drive or walk by these school construction sites to see a majority of Hispanics working on these construction sites. It has also been said that many of these construction workers are illegal aliens. At these school construction sites, you will rarely ever see an African American.
It is also known that African Americans are being denied access to the apprenticeship programs. These construction apprenticeship programs are training our future tradesmen.
We are setting up a letter writing campaign to the Los Angeles Unified School District to address this issue.
The letter will read something as follows:
Dear LAUSD Board Member:
This letter is being written in concern of the non-hiring of African Americans on the construction sites of the many schools that are being built in Los Angeles. We think that it is unfair, and we hope and want to see more minority African Amerians working on these school construction sites. Thank you very much.

I suggest not bringing up the issue of undocumented workers unless you can find definitive proof.
Latinos are always on edge about this issue, because there are some ignorant racist people out there who talk as if all Mexican immigrants have no papers. In fact, most of them are citizens or resident aliens. If you even say "illegal aliens" the red "anti-pete-wilson" alter goes up. Blacks might get a pass on this once, but do it a lot and you will lose allies.
