And GWB can't think of any mistakes he made, how about this one. Loudmouth Texan shooting his mouth off gets hundreds of people killed.

Seems to be a pattern here, during Viet Nam he hid out while supportin a war he avoided. Present day Stereotypical Loudmouth Texan shooting mouth off gets hundreds of his own people killed. And GWB can't think of any mistakes he made, how about this one.

Instead we now have a fine breeding ground for terrorism. Every family member killed makes us so much more loved. Each arm leg or eye we remove, another fast friend for life.

From my perspective, the decision to lift the siege of Fallujah was a grave mistake. The negotiations are being sold as a way of achieving peace while sparing the lives of innocent civilians in the city; but it sends the wrong message to both our enemies and our friends. It teaches them that the United States rewards violence and terrorism and confirms the Arab belief that the Americans are soft. I hope I am wrong, but I'm afraid the decision to pull back from the city will not end well for the United States or our Iraqi allies.
The reason is simple: The fighters in Fallujah do not seek peace. They want to drive the Americans out of Iraq. They are like venomous snakes: They will kill us or our Iraqi allies if we do not kill them first. There is no negotiating with them. They see such negotiations as a sign of weakness; indeed, the fact that the powerful United States is negotiating with them permits the insurgents to claim that they have prevailed over the most powerful military in the world.

'The most powerful military on earth' blah blah blah. Such machismo. This makes what we are doing right? No it doesn't. It never will and it pulls the curtain off our proclaimed self rightious superiority. These are the times of ruin. Our nation has lost its soul, sold to mammon for the coinage of a smug and wasteful life while the wails of devastated outrage and hate grow. You must be so proud.

Another member of my fan club speaks.
Actually I do have a great regard for human life, especially American citizens. I'm pleased to see the war against the terrorists being fought in Iraq and Afghanistan rather than Los Angeles or Chicago.
I'm pleased to see the terrrorists going up against our fully trained and equipped military rather than our private citizens here in the USA.
Most of all I'm pleased to see the terrorists getting their asses kicked.

The above quote of GWB is slightly incorrect. This is what he exactly said on July 2, 2003:
"There are some who, uh, feel like that, you know, the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is: bring 'em on. We got the force necessary to deal with the security situation."

BA - what's with the "Iraq and Afghanistan" link... they are two separate wars. Afghanistan was bombed because they allegedly supported Osama, who probalby felled the twin towers.
Iraq was bombed because an extreme group of empire builders and crackpot religious nuts got it in their heads that it's justifiable to lie to go to war, and establish a military dictatorship in Iraq, in order to enrich Bush cronies.
Mentioning the two words in the same sentence doesn't connect the two things. However, if you do it enough, some people will believe it. Some people call it neurolinguistic programming, or hypnotism.
Losers like you use the technique to brainwash yourselves into believe you are fighting for something important, when, in fact, you're just a loser who gets in stupid arguments on web boards.

Shouldn't you be over in Iraq helping me look for them elusive WMD's instead of making a fool out of yourself?

more rational:
Yup, Neurolinguistic Programming is one of the Bush administration's favorite devices of psychosocial engineering. It's right out of Orwell. Have you noticed that about half the speeches GWB has ever given use the following words:
1. Terror 2. Hate 3. Freedom (almost always connected to war) 3. Defend 4. God
"We will show them that we are strong. The terrorists hate Americans. They hate our freedom. We need to show them that we are strong."
Now, if you sift through these same speeches, it is not often that you will hear the word "peace" mentioned. Phrases that emphasize seeking peaceful resolutions, upholding peace throughout the Middle East, and so on, are a rarity.
I also notice that "freedom" now seems to be used by GWB and company only if it does not specifically indicate any freedoms that should be afforded to citizens of the US or other countries. "Freedoms," as specific rights enacted to protect the citizenry, is no longer a media buzzword. We are concerned with protecting "freedom" as a vague, indefinable thing that America supposedly represents, and the rest of the world is supposed to kiss our feet because we are the paragons of this thing. So, what is it, exactly? They can't say; maybe I'm too hung up on all the recently enacted legislation that undermines my constitutional rights to see the true glory that all the other countries are raving about.
I'd like to see GWB try to convince the American public that he supports "freedom" in a specific context, such as the freedom to have a fair and speedy trial (Guantanamo Bay), freedom from invasion of privacy (Patriot Act), First Amendment freedoms (Free Speech Zones), or the Freedom to have a civil union recognized by state and federal authorities (Gay marriage).

"No, I know all the war rhetoric, but it's all aimed at achieving peace." George W. Bush.

"I reminded them and their families that the war in Iraq is really about peace.."

"War is Peace Freedom is Slavery Ignorance is Power."

{sic} Much of what Bush says is drooling idiocy, but also much of it is malicious Orwellian language. Here are some examples.
CLEAR SKIES INITIATIVE guts the clean air act allowing companies to pollute.
CO-LATERAL DAMAGE When Americans kill non-American civilians, even when they do it deliberately.
HEALTHY FORESTS INITIATIVE hands stewardship of the forests over to the logging industry and allows renewed cutting of old growth forests.
NO DRILLING IN NATIONAL PARKS means no parade drills. Drilling for oil is fine, especially in the Padre Island National Seashore or in Alaskan nature preserves.
