During the closing arguments, 30 or more cops filled the courtroom from the inglewood police department in a show of their support for police brutality and racism. Jeremy Morse was FIRED from inglewood PD but ,the other pigs want everyone to know (in the jury) that it is still "business as usual" when it comes to them beating the citizens who pay their salaries at the inglewood PD. Morse due in court Friday feb 6th for DUI charge..

On the first day of jury selection, 150 jurors were dismissed because the defense argued that an activist passed out information to the potential jurors about jeremy morse's other crime of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Jeremy morse is the officer from inglewood california who is on trial for the chickenshit beating of an innocent child last july 6th 2002. Set for retrial Jan 5 2004.

These images were captured by mitchell crooks who was present at a hotel nearby the gas station where, Coby chavis the father of 16 year old donovan jackson was parked pumping gas. Several LA county sheriff cars descended to a "parked car" and found a black man driving a "taurus" (found to be too good a car for a black man by racist police) with unregistered tags.

As mitchell crooks found in his young life, Cops have a hatred towards black people and whites who think about living in a unified world. This is how they (cops and law enforcement) infiltrate our way of being. Anyone who has ever been in prison knows how the cops keep order because of the hate they spread. So back to the incident. 16 year old special Ed student Donovan jackson purchases a bag of chips with the money left over by paying to fill his fathers tank. Meanwhile after drinking heinekens all 4th of july weekend, mitchell crooks is laying down in his hotel room. Donovan walks out of the small little convenience store to find his dad in a police car for unregistered tags on his car. All this time, a young man from New zealand is taking pics of the arrest from the balcony of the hotel. (this man was flown in by the jeremy morse defense to testify against Donovan jackson) After returning to his fathers car, a hothead pig asks donovan to get out the car and put his hands up. An innocent teen who goes to church and is respectful to all? Donovan was scared to death because he knew he did nothing wrong. But, when your black, pigs hate you regardless. This pig was threatened by donovans black skin. He ordered him to stand still and not move. Donovan then put his hands in his pocket. Having nothing to fear (why wouldn't he?) he reached for his pocket and thats when the inglewood PD showed up at the scene. 5 police cars total. For unregistered tags?

Inglewood PD had been briefed earlier that a "GANG" was planning a hit on a cop. And sadaam had weapons of mass destruction too? This is the excuse by the department for their actions this day. Donovan is NO gang member. His father had plates on his car, I m sorry a sticker on his car that was expired. (prolly due to the outrageous cost of registering a car which the majority is fully aware of. No officers in inglewood were "HIT" on that day or since?

So on this Holiday weekend, when amerikkka is celebrating it's independence from europe, A "terrorist" opens fire at the el al terminal at Los Angeles international airport (LAX) killing two people. He was shot and killed by airport security. The Homeland Security was on high alert since the terrorist attack on 912. Shouldn't we be more concerned about protecting the citizens from terrorists? Allot of different stories about what happened after donovan put his hands in his pocket have emerged. first, nobody found a gun or a weapon on donovan. That is fact. Donovan did nothing wrong. Donovan was "ATTACKED" by several officers and dragged by his "bling" (a necklace to the ignorant) across the ground by jeremy morse and bijan darvish. He was assaulted by carlos lopez (the sheriff sergeant on scene) as well as all the others. Donovan fearful For his life and knowing he was innocent, struggled to keep free from the Harassment of these pigs. He did nothing wrong. He was afraid of them. They were bigger and threatening HIM. Donovan was hit over the head with a flashlight and punched several times in the head. He was BEATEN by the LA sheriff and inglewood PD. All because his father did not fill some paperwork out at DMV.

This entire time, the man from new zealand (is that sheep country) was taking pics of the arrest. Yet he was nowhere to be found once mitchell crooks started shooting the incident. A woman was watching the whole scene and was screaming and yelling during the whole scene. Now this woman is the true hero. She had the presence to yell the keywords out. "Dont resist" & "Stop hurting him" & "help"! she is the true hero of the day! Those keywords gave me the knowledge that pigs were hurting yet another human being. She was also not asked to testify during the trial of jeremy morse? Why? Because the District Attorney is in bed with the Police. They are working together on many issues. So as this woman was screaming I looked out my window and thought it was a fight at the hotel. When she said "RESIST" I knew it was my clue to grab my Sony digital8 camcorder from my backpack. When I saw donovan laying there I just started to cringe. I thought "what could he have done to deserve that treatment?" I had no idea he was a child. I thought he was a 19 or 20 something. I was freaked out by the fact that if I was filming police doing wrong & I would be targeted next. I was. As I said on my Videotape. I was told by the woman, you can hear on the tape, "they are not going to come after you". Huh I knew better!

So, as I was filming this "terrorist attack" by police, I thought "they are going to arrest me and punish me for doing so". I was right. More on that later. I was shocked by the coward doing this in broad daylight! There were about 20 witnesses on scene and not one of them was asked to testify at jeremy Morse's first mistrial. The DA is in bed with pigs remember?

So after I videotaped the incident I gave the tape to friends cause I knew the cops would confiscate the tape and that would be the end of that. I also separated the camera from myself and changed my clothes. I knew these foreign backpackers only a little but they knew what they had seen on the videotape was wrong. The pigs came into the hotel and asked allot of people "who was the one who videotaped the incident?" Nobody snitched. Even though 90% of them knew I was the one. I grabbed a heineken and went down by the pool where people are still enjoying their fourth of july weekend. I sure as fuck did! After 912, police were regarded as heroes and shit cause a couple of them died at the trade center. So I reminded the entire world how fucked up our police Still are. ha-ha.

I went to NBC 4 and showed them the tape. They were not interested. Because I had seen police brutality all the time in LA, I thought the media was not going to take on the situation. I went back to the hotel. Later that next day, I had an appointment to see a potential loft in downtown LA. I went to that and on the way back, I went to UPN and thought they would like a copy for the news. I was happy if they showed it. When they offered 150 dollars I was excited. The News director told me to keep the rights and sell it to as many news outlets as possible. Thats when the inglewood PD was informed. I sold this tape for 150 dollars to several local news outlets. Which is a rip-off considering that the guy who videotaped the rodney king video made 50,000 dollars initially. So to those who say I did it for money, "FUCK YOU" I did it cause it should be done. The world wind of media kept calling from all over the world and wanted the permission to show this video.

So as soon as the police did a search on me and my name they found a misdemeanor warrant for petty theft and Dui. What you do not know, is that the patriot act has been used so many times against people it was not designed to do. For instance, I was arrested in front of CNN for misdemeanor crimes out of placer county. I was staying in a hotel (leparc in west hollywood) when a DA (steve cooley) from LA tried to illegally supeona me on a radio show. He wanted the video. When I refused to give up my location to him he enacted the patriot act. Actually to be even more honest, FBI or "whoever" were parked outside my hotel room w/ headphones on, listening to me and a friend inside the hotel the night before. When I refused to accept this Illegal supeona to testify before the grand jury, I left the hotel for fear of what I saw the night before. I was appearing on BET w/ Ed Gordon That night (w/congresswoman maxine waters). Twice that night and in the morning, my friend was approached in the hotel, by plain clothes and actual officers demanding him to tell me where I was. How did they know where I was? They had to have illegally tapped the land line inside my hotel during the radio interview. I was not registered at the hotel? I then went to a different friends house in long beach when I noticed cops casing his apartment even before we got there! Tell me how they could know this? Later that night after going to a bar, two undercover cops sat next to me and my friend till we left. They left. I stayed at his house all night long and heard people outside his door all night. Then, the next morning I call my original friend on a cell phone and he is scared to death. I call from CNN inside the building on a land line. He had a cell phone. I told him to bring the tape to CNN and the camera because I was to go onto another BET show taping out of the CNN building.

As soon as he showed up, I mean within seconds, I was standing outside smoking. He dropped off the tape and 7 or so plain clothes officers assaulted me and threw me in a unmarked suv w/ tinted windows. CNN later came out and Showed the world my arrest for misdemeanor crimes that WERE NOT IMPORTANT UNTILL Capturing police doing wrong. At least 5 DOCUMENTED times, I was let go cause the warrant was not that big a deal. Now the whole world knows.

So many of these "PIG LOVERS & RACIST TERRORISTS" have pointed out that I stole VCRS from my mom and had a DUI. Why is that important? Because the LADA used this to arrest me. I refused to testify to the grand jury w/o a lawyer. These warrants were not a big deal until I came forward with the tape. That is FACT. I was stopped in sacramento (one county over from Placer county) Albakurkee NM and in New york and by LAPD in fall 2001 (after 912) for jaywalking by ofc. v.perez. I was let go after being booked at the culver city police department. I have proof. He should be in jail according to DA steve cooleys explanation to the LA city council that it is illegal to let someone go with knowledge of a warrant. I was refused entry to canada because of the warrant and was let go? If this warrant for misdemeanor crimes was so awful then, why didn't they arrest me then? Cause I did not film police brutality till I returned to my home LA. The charges were so PETTY that my mother was upset about the focus being turned onto me and not the pig jeremy morse. I had pawned a VCR that was in my room at my moms house in 1999. The cops had found the pawn slips in my car and trumped the charges in order to secure giving me more time in placer county jail. See I was the victim of a police attack in placer county CA as a youth (16 too?) and they hated me for it. Since I was not at fault (and the officer) they had a deep-seeded hatred towards me. That officer was charged 3 different times for abusing kids.

Even tho the LA county jail had a program were they were kicking out inmates w/ misdemeanor crimes, a private jet flew me to placer county jail the day after the LADA and sheriff assaulted me for videotaping their own "terrorists". I was beaten severely by LADA's (My bruises were seen on good morning america) and handcuffed for 24 hours str8. That is illegal. That is fact. I was refused a visit from my lawyers and kept in a cell handcuffed to the outside of the cell all night. I was hospitalized for my injuries by the LADA

After a private jet flew me into placer before dissent could start in LA, Judge Joseph Roeder (placer county) Wanted to give me 2 years in prison, 5 years formal probation (without leaving placer county again), fines, classes and suspension of my license indefinitely for me violating my probation!? Or, for a 0.08% first dui, petty theft and paint transfer hit and run. Actually for the negative media attention brought to placer county I suppose. He is a real prick but my attorneys had him thrown off the case because roeder had his mind made up. Placer trumps the charges on people in order to plea bargain cases. Thats why the DA has a 90% conviction rate even tho less than ten% of the cases are tried by a jury. After judge couzins (who is also a prick) was intimidated by my attorneys with actually having to retry the case, Couzens settled for the original 6 month sentence and No probation, classes or, fines. If I had a competent public pretender at the time I would have beat all the charges. I was duly convicted and plead guilty at the first court hearing. (never do that) My lawyers wanted to appeal the original plea to try it again cause the charges were so weak but that would take 6 months or more. I was sentenced to six months in jail for a 0.08% dui and a petty theft w/ prior.Since M.a.d.d. was founded in placer county, DMV still hassled me about my license. Couzens was approached by an attorney on behalf of congresswoman maxine waters to allow house arrest but couzens "literally" threw me out of court by his henchmen. I was assaulted by placer county sheriffs simply because I had asked the court to modify my sentence to allow the last month of my 6 month term to be on house arrest. (Uh, that barreta guy from T.V. killed his wife) The jail commander was on my lawyers side. The jail had no room for me. I had to be put in protective custody with all the child molesters and snitches and bitches. They had to clear the hallways & dorms anytime I was out of my cell. I was denied mail from the outside world. Denied phone calls. Denied outside rec yard, library, meals, showers, tv, games, magazines or books. That shit is illegal. They did not care. They would hold their church services outside my cell and throw bibles under my door. I had to listen to that 2000 year old lie constantly! They knew about when I was 16 a jesus freak cop beat me up while in juvenile hall because I refused to participate in church services. They basically tortured me mentally and physically for 6 months str8. My visitors were harassed as well. I had to really be on my best behavior just to survive. One time this cop came into my cell and tried to antagonize me into a fight. They would search my room and legal documents all the time. They would put psycho motherfuckers into the cell next to me and they would go off all night! Murderers and rapists? A petty thief and a drunk driver? I would think that I would have met some cops out there who are at least decent over this. I would still like to believe that good cops exist but, they don't. I have a problem with that. So cops are that intimidated by citizens with camera's that, they themselves become lawless pricks? We need cops. We don't need pricks. .

I had to serve my six month sentence anyways. I was let go on Jan. 4 2003. I have no charges and no probation/fines/classes so that is good. It worked I am no criminal. I had been turning my life around since 1999. I appeared on the TV show 7th heaven 3 times and turned it around. (check out the episode when the oldest son left the show after getting hitched to a Jew.) Even though, the judge couzins wanted to give me 2 years for bringing attention to the most racist jail in amerikka. Placer county is so corrupt. They have a 92 % white population and have the largest republican county in Calif-as. (see a trend here...?)They were so pissed off to see the public focusing in on me. Congresswoman maxine waters along with democrat candidate al sharpton called them and threatened them that if anything was to happen to me, they would be in serious trouble. So they put me on 23 hour lock-down for 6 months. They said they needed to protect me from White power inmates? These same white power inmates I got along with, were happy to see the pigs in trouble and caught themselves.

So jeremy morse was put on trial at the end of july 2003 (a year after) and was found basically guilty 7 to 5. The jury was not even given a good case but LADA's max huntsman and mikey petterson blew the case on purpose to satisfy the public. The trial was held in a courthouse nowhere near the crime scene in inglewood. The DA called all the defenses witnesses (the cops) and not a single other witness involved. they used the tape but did not supply the jury with ALL THE FACTS. The other officer Bijan darvish who beat donovan jackson was let off because the current footage does not show him beating him. He was charged with filing a false police report. That child abuser jeremy morse goes back on trial in january 2004. The trial was to start oct 22 but was moved yet again.

The media was hoping for a riot and thats the only reason why they even bought my tape in the first place. They were hoping for the bigger picture. They were disappointed that inglewood did not respond by burning their own businesses and homes. This is what the citizens for police (jeremy morse pig lovers) says is the reason for the retrial. These images were captured by mitchell crooks who was present at a hotel nearby the gas station where, Coby chavis the father of 16 year old donovan jackson was parked pumping gas. Several LA county sheriff cars descended to a "parked car" and found a black man driving a "taurus" (found to be too good a car for a black man by racist police) with unregistered tags.

As mitchell crooks found in his young life, Cops have a hatred towards black people and whites who think about living in a unified world. This is how they (cops and law enforcement) infiltrate our way of being. Anyone who has ever been in prison knows how the cops keep order because of the hate they spread. So back to the incident. 16 year old special Ed student Donovan jackson purchases a bag of chips with the money left over by paying to fill his fathers tank. Meanwhile after drinking heinekens all 4th of july weekend, mitchell crooks is laying down in his hotel room. Donovan walks out of the small little convenience store to find his dad in a police car for unregistered tags on his car. All this time, a young man from New zealand is taking pics of the arrest from the balcony of the hotel. (this man was flown in by the jeremy morse defense to testify against Donovan jackson) After returning to his fathers car, a hothead pig asks donovan to get out the car and put his hands up. An innocent teen who goes to church and is respectful to all? Donovan was scared to death because he knew he did nothing wrong. But, when your black, pigs hate you regardless. This pig was threatened by donovans black skin. He ordered him to stand still and not move. Donovan then put his hands in his pocket. Having nothing to fear (why wouldn't he?) he reached for his pocket and thats when the inglewood PD showed up at the scene. 5 police cars total. For unregistered tags?

Inglewood PD had been briefed earlier that a "GANG" was planning a hit on a cop. And sadaam had weapons of mass destruction too? This is the excuse by the department for their actions this day. Donovan is NO gang member. His father had plates on his car, I m sorry a sticker on his car that was expired. (prolly due to the outrageous cost of registering a car which the majority is fully aware of. No officers in inglewood were "HIT" on that day or since?

So on this Holiday weekend, when amerikkka is celebrating it's independence from europe, A "terrorist" opens fire at the el al terminal at Los Angeles international airport (LAX) killing two people. He was shot and killed by airport security. The Homeland Security was on high alert since the terrorist attack on 912. Shouldn't we be more concerned about protecting the citizens from terrorists? Donovan fearful For his life and knowing he was innocent, struggled to keep free from the Harassment of these pigs. He did nothing wrong. He was afraid of them. They were bigger and threatening HIM. Donovan was hit over the head with a flashlight and punched several times in the head. He was BEATEN by the LA sheriff and inglewood PD. All because his father did not fill some paperwork out at DMV.

So, as I was filming this "terrorist attack" by police, I thought "they are going to arrest me and punish me for doing so". I was right. More on that later. So after I videotaped the incident I gave the tape to friends cause I knew the cops would confiscate the tape and that would be the end of that. I also separated the camera from myself and changed my clothes. I knew these foreign backpackers only a little but they knew what they had seen on the videotape was wrong. The pigs came into the hotel and asked alot of people "who was the one who videotaped the incident?" Nobody snitched. Even though 90% of them knew I was the one. I grabbed a heineken and went down by the pool where people are still enjoying their fourth of july weekend. I sure as fuck did! After 912, police were regarded as heroes and shit cause a couple of them died at the trade center. So I reminded the entire world how fucked up our police Still are. haha.

I went to NBC 4 and showed them the tape. They were not interested. Because I had seen police brutality all the time in LA, I thought the media was not going to take on the situation. I went back to the hotel. Later that next day, I had an appointment to see a potential loft in downtown LA. I went to that and on the way back, I went to UPN and thought they would like a copy for the news. I was happy if they showed it. When they offered 150 dollars I was excited. The News director told me to keep the rights and sell it to as many news outlets as possible. Thats when the inglewood PD was informed. I sold this tape for 150 dollars to several local news outlets. Which is a rip-off considering that the guy who videotaped the rodney king video made 50,000 dollars initially. So to those who say I did it for money, "FUCK YOU" I did it cause it should be done. The world wind of media kept calling from all over the world and wanted the permission to show this video.

So as soon as the police did a search on me and my name they found a misdemeanor warrant for petty theft and Dui. What you do not know, is that the patriot act has been used so many times against people it was not designed to do. For instance, I was arrested in front of CNN for misdemeanor crimes out of placer county. I was staying in a hotel (leparc in west hollywood) when a DA (steve cooley) from LA tried to illegally supeona me on a radio show. He wanted the video. When I refused to give up my location to him he enacted the patriot act. Actually to be even more honest, FBI or "whoever" were parked outside my hotel room w/ headphones on, listening to me and a friend inside the hotel the night before. When I refused to accept this Illegal supeona to testify before the grand jury, I left the hotel for fear of what I saw the night before. I was appearing on BET w/ Ed Gordon That night (w/congresswoman maxine waters). Twice that night and in the morning, my friend was approached in the hotel, by plain clothes and actual officers demanding him to tell me where I was. How did they know where I was? They had to have illegally tapped the land line inside my hotel during the radio interview. I was not registered at the hotel? I then went to a different friends house in long beach when I noticed cops casing his apartment even before we got there! Tell me how they could know this? Later that night after going to a bar, two undercover cops sat next to me and my friend till we left. They left. I stayed at his house all night long and heard people outside his door all night. Then, the next morning I call my original friend on a cell phone and he is scared to death. I call from CNN inside the building on a land line. He had a cell phone. I told him to bring the tape to CNN and the camera because I was to go onto another BET show taping out of the CNN building.

As soon as he showed up, I mean within seconds, I was standing outside smoking. He dropped off the tape and 7 or so plain clothes officers assaulted me and threw me in a unmarked suv w/ tinted windows. CNN later came out and Showed the world my arrest for misdemeanor crimes that WERE NOT IMPORTANT UNTILL Capturing police doing wrong. At least 5 DOCUMENTED times, I was let go cause the warrant was not that big a deal. Now the whole world knows.

So many of these "PIG LOVERS & RACIST TERRORISTS" have pointed out that I stole VCRS from my mom and had a DUI. Why is that important? Because the LADA used this to arrest me. I refused to testify to the grand jury w/o a lawyer. These warrants were not a big deal until I came forward with the tape. That is FACT. I was stopped in sacramento (one county over from Placer county) Albakurkee NM and in New york and by LAPD in fall 2003 for jaywalking by ofc. v.perez. I was let go after being booked at the culver city police department. I have proof. He should be in jail according to DA steve cooleys explanation to the LA city council that it is illegal to let someone go with knowledge of a warrant. I was refused entry to canada because of the warrant and was let go? If this warrant for misdemeanor crimes was so awful then, why didn't they arrest me then? Cause I did not film police brutality till I returned to my home LA. The charges were so PETTY that my mother was upset about the focus being turned onto me and not the pig jeremy morse. I had pawned a VCR that was in my room at my moms house in 1999. The cops had found the pawn slips in my car and trumped the charges in order to secure giving me more time in placer county jail. See I was the victim of a police attack in placer county CA as a youth (16 too?) and they hated me for it. Since I was not at fault (and the officer) they had a deep-seeded hatred towards me. If I had a competent public pretender at the time I would have beat all the charges. I was duly convicted and plead guilty at the first court hearing. (never do that) My lawyers wanted to appeal the original plea to try it again cause the charges were so weak but that would take 6 months or more. I was sentenced to six months in jail for a 0.08% dui and a petty theft w/ prior.

Even tho the LA county jail had a program were they were kicking out inmates w/ misdemeanor crimes, a private jet flew me to placer county jail the day after the LADA and sheriff assaulted me for videotaping their own "terrorists". I was beaten severely by LADA's and handcuffed for 24 hours str8. That is illegal. That is fact. I was refused a visit from my lawyers and kept in a cell handcuffed to the outside of the cell all night. I was hospitalized for my injuries by the LADA.

I had to serve my six month sentence anyways. I was let go on Jan. 4 2003. I have no charges and no probation/fines/classes so that is good. It worked I am no criminal. I had been turning my life around since 1999. I appeared on the TV show 7th heaven 3 times and turned it around. (check out the episode when the oldest son left the show after getting hitched to a Jew.) Even though, the judge couzins wanted to give me 2 years for bringing attention to the most racist jail in amerikka. So jeremy morse was put on trial at the end of july 2003 (a year after) and was found basically guilty 7 to 5. The jury was not even given a good case but LADA's max huntsman and mikey petterson blew the case on purpose to satisfy the public. The trial was held in a courthouse nowhere near the crime scene in inglewood. The DA called all the defenses witnesses (the cops) and not a single other witness involved. they used the tape but did not supply the jury with ALL THE FACTS. The other officer Bijan darvish who beat donovan jackson was let off because the current footage does not show him beating him. He was charged with filing a false police report. That child abuser jeremy morse goes back on trial in january 2004. The trial was to start oct 22 but was moved yet again.

The media was hoping for a riot and thats the only reason why they even bought my tape in the first place. They were hoping for the bigger picture. They were disappointed that inglewood did not respond by burning their own businesses and homes. This is what the citizens for police (jeremy morse pig lovers) says is the reason for the retrial. "To award a community for not burning their homes down is crazy" is what they and jeremy morse attorney john barnett (defended the rodney king pigs) is saying? That is sooooo ignorant! Barnett argued that the one black man on the original jury resembled donovan too much to be included. What a racist! He thinks all blacks look alike? What a nazi! To think that a retrial is only important because of not burning a house down is so 20th century. You nazi fucks need to come to the realization that jeremy morse crossed the supposed line. Describing the 6-6 hung jury vote that resulted in a second

mistrial over charges of police brutality leveled against former Inglewood

Police Officer Jeremy Morse as "the latest in a series of missteps which

demonstrate that Cooley cannot hold a major case together," 15 year veteran

prosecutor Denise Moehlman said that "the mishandling of this case from the

outset underscores why Steve Cooley needs to be replaced as District

Attorney." Moehlman, a deputy district attorney at the Airport courthouse

where Morse has been prosecuted, is running in the March 2, 2004 primary

election to replace Cooley.

"Whether you are a prosecutor or a defense attorney it is

elementary that you thoroughly interview expert witnesses before putting

them on the witness stand," said Moehlman. "When the District Attorney's

office put an expert witness on the stand in the first trial without

knowing that he would testify that in his own opinion, the defendant hadn't

committed a crime, is just short of unbelievable. It guaranteed that no

matter what happened in any subsequent prosecution, the defense had been

handed a gratuitous advantage."

Moehlman has pledged throughout her campaign to make prosecution of

police misconduct a priority of her administration. She has also attacked

Cooley's office for failing to prosecute numerous LAPD "Rampart corruption

cases" within the statute of limitations, letting many bad officers remain

unpunished.

Mitchell Crooks was on vacation that July 4 weekend in 2002. "I heard a woman screaming, `Don't resist!' and I knew right away that it was the police."

Crooks grabbed his camera and ran outside his motel in time to catch on tape the now infamous beating of Donovan Jackson by a gang of cops in Inglewood, right next door to L.A. His videotape shows how the cops took the 16-year-old Donovan and beat him outrageously, then slammed the half-conscious young man onto the hood of a car and beat him some more.

On the tape, you can hear Crooks say, "They're gonna come up and come after me now." Worried about turning the video over to the cops, Crooks took the precaution of separating the tape from his camera and giving it to some other guests.

Within minutes, 17 sheriffs were combing through the motel. Crooks later said, "Ninety percent of the people there knew I'd taped it, but no one said a word. We all knew that if they got it, it would be the end, it would disappear."

The cops didn't find the tape. And instead of disappearing, Crooks made sure that the media got copies of it. His footage was aired on all the major L.A. news broadcasts, and it was picked up nationally and even internationally.

People across the country and around the world were outraged when they saw the footage and responded immediately with demonstration after angry demonstration. Haunted by the memory of the Rodney King incident and the 1992 Los Angeles Rebellion, officials rushed to put out a fire before it could start by indicting two of the cops who'd been caught on tape. One of these cops, Jeremy Morse, had been on the force only three years but already had six previous brutality complaints against him.

Local law enforcement now knew who had shot the video, and they wanted to get their hands on him. Mitchell called the District Attorney to try and work something out. The DA ordered him to appear before a county grand jury, which Mitchell agreed to do. But when they demanded that Crooks turn over his original tape, he began to get nervous.

The next day, Crooks was being interviewed live on the radio when the Chief Deputy District Attorney broke into the broadcast. On the air, his tone was threatening: "Mitchell, there's a grand jury subpoena for you, and I suggest you honor it! Show up at the Criminal Courts Building."

Crooks told his interviewer, "They're coming after me because I shot the video. I fear for my life."

In a recent interview on radio station KPFK, Crooks explained: "It's scary to challenge the system, and I knew that's what I was doing."

When Crooks arrived at CNN the next day for an interview, undercover cops jumped out of unmarked cars and arrested him when he tried to enter the station. As they spirited him away in an unmarked SUV, Crooks' screams could be heard clearly.

Later that night he was treated for unspecified injuries at a hospital, and the next day he was extradited to northern California to face warrants for an old traffic violation and a bogus charge of petty theft. He was in custody for six months, locked down 23 hours a day, and allowed no mail and no contact with the outside.

In contrast, the cops who beat Donovan Jackson have not spent one day in jail!

The authorities used the trial not to punish these two brutal cops but, in Mitchell's words, "to deflate the balloon of people's anger."

First, they moved the trial out of the predominantly African-American community of Inglewood into the nearby South Bay, a suburban L.A. area with a reputation for being unfriendly to anybody who isn't white. The defense was so blatantly kicking all Blacks off the jury that the judge had to outright override them and reinstate one African-American juror who'd been excused because, they said, "he looked too much like Donovan Jackson."

During the trial, the prosecution showed they were not at all eager to really prosecute these cops. They didn't call Crooks or any of the 20 other eyewitnesses to the beating. And their "use-of-force expert" was an L.A. County Sheriff's Department commander who expressed empathy for the cop Morse and testified that he thought the cops should never have been charged in the first place. In other words, prosecutors used an expert who directly undermined their case.

So it was no surprise when one cop was acquitted and the jury hung on Morse. Within days, D.A. Steve Cooley announced that Morse would be retried.

(Morse, who was fired from the Inglewood police department after his indictment, has filed a "reverse discrimination" suit against the city, alleging that he was fired because he is white!)

Last week, a new jury was picked for the retrial of the cop Jeremy Morse, and Crooks' video is expected to play prominently in this second trial.

Mitchell says that over the past month there's been a noticeable rise in the number and explicitness of the death threats against him. "I've been getting lots of emails. Some are carefully worded, and some are very crude, overt ones. I get hassled on the street by cops. I got a dog for protection just so I can go out in public."

I saw the videotape of the police beating in Cincinnati. It made me sick! That cop kept jabbing the guy with his baton just like he was stabbing someone over and over, then dancing in their blood. And they just keep getting away with it. It's like the October 22 Coalition says, `Police brutality didn't die on 9/11.' Would they have beaten Donovan Jackson in broad daylight like they did if they didn't think they could get away with it? They think they have free rein to do whatever they want now. Do we want to live in a police state? No! People have got to rise to the occasion."

When RW reporter Michael Slate interviewed Mitchell Crooks on KPFK radio show "Beneath the Surface," Mitchell talked about why he had stepped out to expose this brutality against a Black youth: "I'm tired of living divided by color, divided by race, divided by class. That's what they do to maintain control over people. I'm tired of living in a world like that. It's so last century, so last millennium. Me standing up is just one person, but there's lots of white people who feel the same way. People need to stand up to racial oppression."

Mitchell Crooks talked about drawing inspiration from rebel youth of Los Angeles: "It was when the Lakers won their first championship. It was an awakening. Outside that stadium, I saw history about to happen. When they danced around the fires, I knew that the youth were going to use their strength and their knowledge to stand up to this system. I didn't know what my part was going to be, but all that helped me to know who my enemy is in this battle and come forward."

Mitchell later told the RW , "I'm proof-positive that revolution is possible because I'm not the kind of guy who would've had the guts to make that film and turn it over like I did. I wouldn't have done that before. But after the Lakers riots woke me up, I said, `If I don't get involved, my dreams will be crushed.' People should get themselves organized and reach out for more people to join the fight. You have to encourage others, you have to get them committed. That's what I'm trying to do every day of my life."

The Man Who Saw Too Much

Editor's note: The trial of Inglewood Police Officer Jeremy Morse ended in second hung jury on Friday.

Updated January 30, 2004 -- Mitchell Crooks says his life has been “pure hell,” filled with death threats and cries of “race-traitor” from fellow Whites, ever since he videotaped a White Los Angeles-area police officer slamming a handcuffed Black teen-ager into his squad car.

“There has been a little praise here and there, mostly from the Black leadership in Los Angeles, but there’s been more doses of hate,” says Crooks, whose internationally broadcast videotape refocused attention on police brutality against African Americans, a decade after the Rodney King tape did the same thing.

“The only door this has opened has been to a jail cell.”

He means that literally.

Immediately after releasing the video to CNN, Crooks was snatched up by police officers in a black Explorer with darkened windows – he believes they were federal agents – and spirited away. CNN taped his capture and broadcast that along with the police beating footage.

Crooks ended up in a Placer County court (a 92-percent White community near Sacramento), where he was sentenced to six months in prison on an outstanding warrant for DUI.

“The whole thing was completely racial, the fact that me, a White guy, had shot the video,” he says. “It’s a real red-neck town.

“There were no Black inmates in jail. ‘Race traitor’ was thrown in my face every day, mostly due to the fact that officers would pay off folks to try and intimidate me.”

He did his time without being assaulted, he says, but two years later, he’s still looking around corners.

“Today I’m in hiding. I’m scared to go out,” Crooks told BET.com in a recent telephone interview. “I used to do pretty well as a DJ. Now I’m not working. I survive by doing odd jobs. I’m getting by, by the skin of my teeth.”

The Ordeal

Crooks had just returned from vacation and was resting in his second-floor Inglewood hotel room when he was awakened by a “blood-curdling scream.”

“There was this lady screaming at the top of her lungs,” Crooks recalls. “At first I ignored it. Then I heard her yell, ‘Don’t resist; don’t resist!’ Those were the key words that let me know it was police. That’s when I grabbed my camera, ran to the window and started filming.

“I was beat up by police when I was 16, which is part of the reason I carry my camera with me,” says Crooks, 29.

What Crooks saw was Inglewood Police Officer, Jeremy Morse, holding 16-year-old, Donavan Jackson, with his hands cuffed behind his back. Jackson was bent over the hood of Morse’s police cruiser. Morse lifted Jackson and slammed him into the car, making a loud thud, Crooks says.

“I could tell that they had already beaten him before I started filming, just by the way that woman was screaming and the way that Donovan looked,” Crooks says.

The next thing that Crooks saw were two officers looking up at him from the street below.

“On the video, you can see them looking up at me. That was my key to pack up,” Crooks says. “I ran into the hall and gave my camera to these foreign back-packers I had met from England and Germany. I said, ‘Quick, take this, before the police get up here.’” Seconds later, Crooks says, officers pushed their way into his room. “When the cops came into the hotel, they searched my room up and down,” he says. “The back-packers told me that I was sitting on the biggest story since 9/11. I told them that it really wasn’t that big a deal, that I see this all the time in LA, and that police always do this to protestors.”

Big story or not, Crooks says he knew he had to get the tape into the hands of news media. He went live on BET.

The following day he headed to CNN. That was a mistake he says. “CNN told me they needed the original video, so I called my friend and told him to deliver it,” Crooks recalls. “But my phone was bugged. Once I had the tape, that’s when the FBI pulled up and grabbed me. They used the Patriot Act on me. They wanted to get me and the tape at the same time. It just so happens that CNN was videotaping me outside of their studio; the whole thing stinks.”

Crooks says he now wonders whether all the effort was worth it. Officer Morse, who beat Jackson, and his partner, Bijan Darvish, who perjured himself on the stand defending Morse’s story, have not been convicted of any crime. Morse’s trial ended in a hung jury last week. Darvish was acquitted in October. Both men faced three years in prison.

The case is scheduled to go before a new jury later this week.

“The DA still hasn’t called me to testify against the officers,” says Crooks, who now refers to himself as a soldier and activist. “He’s intentionally ignoring me. They say it’s hard to prosecute an officer, but here is a case where they have a video and they have witnesses. If they wanted to convict, what more do you need?”

The retrial starts today of a former police officer accused of assaulting a black teenager by slamming him on to the boot of a police car, an encounter caught on video and broadcast around the world.

But 18 months after the alleged attack in Inglewood, at the edge of Los Angeles, the only person involved who has been sent to jail is the man who shot the video, who has been accused of being a "race traitor" for exposing what took place.

Mitchell Crooks, a 29-year-old actor, DJ and video-maker, was staying at a backpackers' hostel in Inglewood on July 6 2002 when he heard someone shouting "stop hurting him". He ran outside and started filming.

The images in the car park of a petrol station he captured of Donovan Jackson, 16 at the time, led to a charge of assault against Jeremy Morse, who is to appear in court today. A jury was unable to reach a decision at the officer's first trial in July.

"I don't regret doing what I did," Mr Crooks told the Guardian. "You have to do the right thing regardless of what the consequences."

Mr Crooks, who is from Sacramento and had lived in Los Angeles for four years, saw footage from his two-minute video broadcast on every US news network.

The alleged assault has been likened to the beating of Rodney King by four LA police officers, which was captured on video and led to the prosecution of the officers. Their acquittal in 1992 led to the LA riots in which 55 people died.

Inglewood police were aware someone had shot a video and searched the hotel for it. Mr Crooks said Australian and New Zealander backpackers staying there knew he had the footage but did not reveal his identity, so he was able to get it out to the media. He was arrested outside the CNN offices in LA.

"There was a warrant out for my arrest in connection with drunk driving, hit and run, and petty theft," Mr Crooks said. "I'm not making excuses but it was a fender-bender type of accident and I had pawned a VCR that belonged to me, but they made me look like I was the next worst person to Osama bin Laden.

"I had just arranged by phone with a friend to meet me there with the video so they must have tapped the phones."

Mr Crooks, a slim white man who says his experience has made him more politically involved, said: "I was flown by private jet to Placer county. For my sins, I was put in an all-white jail in an all-white county. It turned ugly real quick for me. I did six months in jail - that's what I owed them - and it was a rough six months.

"I was under lockdown 22 hours a day. There were no minorities in jail and some of the other inmates were saying I was a race traitor and throwing it in my face an awful lot."

After his arrest, he said, interest in the actions of Mr Morse, then 25, dwindled. "The media stop paying attention after they're told that you're a criminal."

After the jury failed to reach a verdict on Mr Morse Mr Crooks joined Inglewood community groups to appeal for calm, as prosecutors were accused of mounting a weak case. One of their witnesses, Commander Charles Heal of the LA county sheriff's department, had told the court he did not think a criminal charge was justified. Another police officer, charged with a lesser offence, was acquitted.

Mr Morse and the other officer are suing the city of Inglewood, claiming they were victims of racial discrimination, having been treated more harshly than a black officer also at the scene, who was suspended for four days.

Mr Crooks, meanwhile, is looking forward to the retrial. "Rodney King was not an isolated incident," he said. "Cops are very afraid of cameras - for good reason. Sometimes I think the situation is a little heavy but that goes with the territory."

Because of his incarceration, he did not meet Donovan Jackson until the last trial. "I got to meet the family a bit later. They have been real sweet." Mr Jackson, who has learning difficulties, is being represented by the high-profile lawyer Johnny Cochran in a civil action against the police.

The selection of the jury starts today. In last year's trial there was only one black juror, from what is a 50% black neighbourhood.

Thereby killing the public outrage over the videotaped killing by M5 machine guns over a DUI stop.This has many parallels to the case of Donovan Jackson. Cooley declined to file charges against the officers in Gonzalo's death in spite of video evidence showing police executed Gonzalo in cold-blood.

2.) 22 year old Javier Quezada, Jr. was shot to death by a Pasadena police

officer in front of his mother and father on January 23, 2003. He had a pair of scissors in his hand. The officer asked no questions and just fired at Quezada in front of his parents. And then, Steve Cooley and his investigators never even spoke to Javiers folks before the district attorney announced that no charges would be filed against the brutal cop who killed their son.

Don't Shoot the Messenger

In keeping with the LA cops' usual sense of contrition, John Barnett of Orange, CA, the lawyer for officer Jeremy Morse who was shown beating a teen on video, said today Morse's actions were justified. The lawyer actually said that Morse was "restrained" in his use of force.

He didn't volunteer that Morse has been accused of misconduct in at least six other incidents.

Worse than that, or maybe just about equal, the cops then arrested Mitchell Crooks, the cameraman/tourist who filmed the video--on minor charges.

Seems the police and prosecutors were anxious to get their hands on the video (remember it had only been aired on tv) so they had a subpoena issued for Crooks and his video. Crooks was reluctant to go. He was afraid the police would hurt him for filming the video.

Crooks and Chief Deputy Dist. Atty. Curt Livesay ended up on the same radio show in the afternoon, the DA in the studio and Crooks calling in by phone--here's part of their exhcange:

"Mitchell, let me assure you that there is a grand jury subpoena for you, and I suggest you honor it," Livesay told Crooks. "You show up at the Criminal Courts Buildingóthat's downtown, 210 W. Temple [Street] and be there promptly ... at the grand jury."

"Yeah, well I hope the city rallies behind me," Crooks replied. "They're coming after me because I shot the video. I fear for my life."

"Mitchell, this is Livesay," the prosecutor shot back. "We want you before the grand jury, not in a cell somewhere. We want you before the grand jury and we want that original tape."

Crooks hung up. Later, he was outside the offices of CNN (good guess this is where the actual video was being kept) when the police swung by to arrest him on outstanding warrants from another county for petty theft and driving under the influence with a hit and run.

In our view, he tried to be a good samaritan and help out a kid being beaten by police by creating a record of what happened and look what hot water he landed in. And you wonder why more people don't intervene to help people in trouble ?

Update on LA Teen Beating Case and the Videographer

Chill Wind Over Witnesses is a good editorial in the Los Angeles Times on the inappropriate treatment of Mitchell Crooks, the tourist-videographer of the teen beaten by the LA Cops last week.

Quote: " From the way Steve Cooley's G-men treated him, you might think that Mitchell Crooks was a drug kingpin or Mafia don rather than an unemployed party disc jockey with some lapses in his past. The district attorney's decision last week to deploy a squad of agents--which cuffed him with TV news cameras rolling and carted him away on years-old warrants--looks too much like intimidation of future witnesses in police brutality cases."

Justice For Donovan

On Saturday, July 6, 2002, 16-year old Donovan Jackson and his father Coby Chavis were attacked by officers of the Inglewood Police Department and the Lennox Sheriff's Station. Coby Chavis sat handcuffed in the back of a police car and watched helplessly as his son Donovan was beaten, slammed onto the hood of a police car, then punched in the face by Inglewood Police Officer Jeremy Morse, all while Donovan was handcuffed and barely conscious. Parts of this incident were videotaped by Mitchell Crooks, a `good samaritan' staying at a motel across the street from where this assault was taking place.

Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley ordered Mitchell Crooks to appear before the Los Angeles County Grand Jury to testify about what he saw on July 6. Crooks, fearing for his safety, refused and was later tracked down and abducted by "officers of the District Attorney."

FOUR POLICE OFFICERS ON THE SCENE OF DONOVAN'S ASSAULT WERE ORDERED TO TESTIFY ALSO. THESE OFFICERS REFUSED TO DO SO. DA STEVE COOLEY DID NOT SEND HIS `MEN IN BLACK' TO WHISK THEM AWAY, NOR WERE THESE OFFICERS THREATENED WITH JAIL TIME.

THEY WERE OFFERED IMMUNITY FROM CRIMINAL PROSECUTION!!!

What did these officers do to Donovan and his father that made them decide to take the 5th Amendment? Why didn't DA Steve Cooley also bring them before the Grand Jury on criminal charges?

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The man who videotaped Inglewood police roughing up African-American teen-ager Donovan Jackson was released from a hospital early Friday after being taken into custody.

Mitchell Crooks was taken to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Men's Central Jail after his release from the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Healthcare Network hospital Friday.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for petty theft with a prior conviction, driving under the influence and hit-and-run in Placer County, in northern California....



He did not appear to be roughed up as the district attorney's officers made the arrest and put him in the black Ford Explorer, but CNN cameraman David Lake heard him say to the officers that they were probably going to beat him like the police in the Inglewood incident he had captured on tape.

From inside the car, Crooks yelled at the top of his lungs, "Help! Help! Help! Help me!" as the SUV drove away.

The arrest was captured on crisp surveillance video as well as by a CNN photographer. ...

I'm perfectly in favor of law enforcement arresting accused criminals and people with outstanding warrants. But the beating of suspects or the SWAT team style grabbing of people off the streets? Please. For heaven's sakes, O.J. was followed for miles by the LAPD and still allowed to surrender with his attorney present. This is just so heavy handed and shameful. While Crooks may have his own charges to answer for, heads at the DA's office need to role over the handling of this case to date.

Cops Caught on Videotape Beating LA Teen

It's barely been 10 years since the violence that erupted in the wake of verdicts in the videotaped Rodney King beating case in Los Angeles and history could be repeating itself. A Sacramento man videotaped an altercation between a Black 16-year- old and Los Angeles and Inglewood police officers Saturday.

The video shows an officer pushing the face of the handcuffed teen into the hood of a patrol car. Another officer punched the suspect in the face.

"I don't think that he was resisting. I mean there were five cops," Mitchell Crooks, the Sacramento man who made the tape, told reporters. "The guy picked him up like he was a doll and slammed him on the car, and he wasn’t resisting at that point. They already had him in custody."

The teen, Donovan Jackson, 16, was booked for investigation of assault on a police officer. Police said he lunged at them. The driver, his father, Coby Chavis, 41, was accused of driving under a suspended license. Inglewood Officer Jeremy Morse was suspended with pay. The other officers were not relieved of duty.

Michael Gennaco, a Los Angeles attorney who will lead a sheriff’s department investigation, cautioned against comparing this incident to the Rodney King beating of 1991. "Every case is different and every case has to be handled differently," Gennaco said. "I don't think it's sufficient to simply rely on videotape. It only captures part of an incident."

Both the teen's father and another witness, Andres Mejia, 24, of Inglewood, said they saw police throw Jackson on the ground, kneel on his back and punch him with a closed fist. "It did just seem vengeful and racist," said Mejia.

The youth's attorney described Jackson as particularly vulnerable because he is developmentally disabled and didn't understand what was happening. He has no arrest record.

Jailed, Beaten, Tortured and Threatened for Videotaping Police Beating

Mitchell Crooks was on vacation that July 4 weekend in 2002. "I heard a woman screaming, `Don't resist!' and I knew right away that it was the police."

Crooks grabbed his camera and ran outside his motel in time to catch on tape the now infamous beating of Donovan Jackson by a gang of cops in Inglewood, right next door to L.A. His videotape shows how the cops took the 16-year-old Donovan and beat him outrageously, then slammed the half-conscious young man onto the hood of a car and beat him some more.

On the tape, you can hear Crooks say, "They're gonna come up and come after me now." Worried about turning the video over to the cops, Crooks took the precaution of separating the tape from his camera and giving it to some other guests.

Within minutes, 17 sheriffs were combing through the motel. Crooks later said, "Ninety percent of the people there knew I'd taped it, but no one said a word. We all knew that if they got it, it would be the end, it would disappear."

The cops didn't find the tape. And instead of disappearing, Crooks made sure that the media got copies of it. His footage was aired on all the major L.A. news broadcasts, and it was picked up nationally and even internationally.

People across the country and around the world were outraged when they saw the footage and responded immediately with demonstration after angry demonstration. Haunted by the memory of the Rodney King incident and the 1992 Los Angeles Rebellion, officials rushed to put out a fire before it could start by indicting two of the cops who'd been caught on tape. One of these cops, Jeremy Morse, had been on the force only three years but already had six previous brutality complaints against him.

Local law enforcement now knew who had shot the video, and they wanted to get their hands on him. Mitchell called the District Attorney to try and work something out. The DA ordered him to appear before a county grand jury, which Mitchell agreed to do. But when they demanded that Crooks turn over his original tape, he began to get nervous.

The next day, Crooks was being interviewed live on the radio when the Chief Deputy District Attorney broke into the broadcast. On the air, his tone was threatening: "Mitchell, there's a grand jury subpoena for you, and I suggest you honor it! Show up at the Criminal Courts Building."

Crooks told his interviewer, "They're coming after me because I shot the video. I fear for my life."

In a recent interview on radio station KPFK, Crooks explained: "It's scary to challenge the system, and I knew that's what I was doing."

When Crooks arrived at CNN the next day for an interview, undercover cops jumped out of unmarked cars and arrested him when he tried to enter the station. As they spirited him away in an unmarked SUV, Crooks' screams could be heard clearly.

Later that night he was treated for unspecified injuries at a hospital, and the next day he was extradited to northern California to face warrants for an old traffic violation and a bogus charge of petty theft. He was in custody for six months, locked down 23 hours a day, and allowed no mail and no contact with the outside.

In contrast, the cops who beat Donovan Jackson have not spent one day in jail!

The authorities used the trial not to punish these two brutal cops but, in Mitchell's words, "to deflate the balloon of people's anger."

First, they moved the trial out of the predominantly African-American community of Inglewood into the nearby South Bay, a suburban L.A. area with a reputation for being unfriendly to anybody who isn't white. The defense was so blatantly kicking all Blacks off the jury that the judge had to outright override them and reinstate one African-American juror who'd been excused because, they said, "he looked too much like Donovan Jackson."

During the trial, the prosecution showed they were not at all eager to really prosecute these cops. They didn't call Crooks or any of the 20 other eyewitnesses to the beating. And their "use-of-force expert" was an L.A. County Sheriff's Department commander who expressed empathy for the cop Morse and testified that he thought the cops should never have been charged in the first place. In other words, prosecutors used an expert who directly undermined their case.

So it was no surprise when one cop was acquitted and the jury hung on Morse. Within days, D.A. Steve Cooley announced that Morse would be retried.

(Morse, who was fired from the Inglewood police department after his indictment, has filed a "reverse discrimination" suit against the city, alleging that he was fired because he is white!)

Last week, a new jury was picked for the retrial of the cop Jeremy Morse, and Crooks' video is expected to play prominently in this second trial.

Mitchell says that over the past month there's been a noticeable rise in the number and explicitness of the death threats against him. "I've been getting lots of emails. Some are carefully worded, and some are very crude, overt ones. I get hassled on the street by cops. I got a dog for protection just so I can go out in public."

I have a responsibility to speak out." He told the RW , "We have a problem of police brutality, and it's all over the country. In Miami at the FTAA protests. I saw the videotape of the police beating in Cincinnati. It made me sick! That cop kept jabbing the guy with his baton just like he was stabbing someone over and over, then dancing in their blood. And they just keep getting away with it. It's like the October 22 Coalition says, `Police brutality didn't die on 9/11.' Would they have beaten Donovan Jackson in broad daylight like they did if they didn't think they could get away with it? They think they have free rein to do whatever they want now. Do we want to live in a police state? No! People have got to rise to the occasion."

When RW reporter Michael Slate interviewed Mitchell Crooks on KPFK radio show "Beneath the Surface," Mitchell talked about why he had stepped out to expose this brutality against a Black youth: "I'm tired of living divided by color, divided by race, divided by class. That's what they do to maintain control over people. I'm tired of living in a world like that. It's so last century, so last millennium. Me standing up is just one person, but there's lots of white people who feel the same way. People need to stand up to racial oppression."

Mitchell Crooks talked about drawing inspiration from rebel youth of Los Angeles: "It was when the Lakers won their first championship. It was an awakening. Outside that stadium, I saw history about to happen. When they danced around the fires, I knew that the youth were going to use their strength and their knowledge to stand up to this system. I didn't know what my part was going to be, but all that helped me to know who my enemy is in this battle and come forward."

Mitchell later told the RW , "I'm proof-positive that revolution is possible because I'm not the kind of guy who would've had the guts to make that film and turn it over like I did. I wouldn't have done that before. But after the Lakers riots woke me up, I said, `If I don't get involved, my dreams will be crushed.' People should get themselves organized and reach out for more people to join the fight. You have to encourage others, you have to get them committed. That's what I'm trying to do every day of my life."

TWO COPS INDICTED AS INGLEWOOD POLICE BRUTALITY FIGHT CONTINUES

INGLEWOOD, CA, July 19 (NY Transfer)--Scores of community residents

announced a nightly vigil in this city of 113,000 flanked by Los

Angles, vowing continued protests until all police involved in the

beating of 16 year-old Donovan Jackson are suspended without pay and

indicted for the July 6 crime.

The demonstration took place July 17 in the Thurgood Marshall Justice

Plaza as a Los Angeles County grand jury indicted two Inglewood cops

for the assault, part of which was captured on video by a local disk

jockey staying at a nearby motel. Its broadcast on July 7 has sparked

street protests, mass meetings, and Sunday morning sermons at area

churches, fueling widespread outrage and the appearance of rapid,

official concern. An overwhelmingly working-class city, Inglewood is

46.4 percent Black, 46 percent Latino, and 3.5 Asian. The city police

force is 43 percent white.

"It is our position that they are just attempting to pacify us," with

the limited indictments, Thandi Chimurgenga told the July 17 protest.

Chimurenga, a cousin of Jackson, is a leader of the Donovan

Jackson-Chavis Justice Committee. "But we aren't babies. We won't be

pacified so easily."

Six police, including Los Angeles county deputy sheriffs, were

involved in the incident, which unfolded as cops stopped Coby Chavis,

the teenager's father, for allegedly driving with expired license

plates. Chavis and his son pulled into a gas station, where police

began rousting the driver, whose son was returning with a bag of

potato chips from the service center.

The police accosted Jackson, whose family says he is "developmentally

disabled" and has "difficulty" responding to "commands."

"He could sit and have a conversation without you, but as far as

learning he didn't catch on as quick as everyone else," said a former

tutor, 17 year-old John Minor. "You'd talk to him and you tried to

explain something and it would take a while for him to understand.

When I heard about what happened [with the police], that's the first

thing that came to mind."

When the Black youth failed to heel to the cops' satisfaction,

Inglewood cop Bijan Darvish punched him twice, driving the slender

teenager to the ground. According to his attorneys and family, cops

then dragged the limp Jackson to a waiting police car.

The commotion caught the attention of Mitchell Crooks, who is white,

and was staying at an adjacent motel. Crooks ran outside and began

videotaping what transpired. Inglewood cop Jeremy Morse, who stands

over six feet tall and weighs over 200 pounds hoisted the handcuffed

youth in the air and slammed him face first onto the trunk of the

car. Seconds later Morse landed a powerful right-hand to Jackson's

head.

On July 17, after hearing 13 witnesses, the grand jury indicted

Morse, a three-year veteran of the Inglewood Police Department, with

"assault by a peace office under the color of authority," a felony

carrying a 36-month maximum jail term and $10,000 fine. Jarvish was

charged with filing a false report, also a felony. Both were released

on $25,000 bail. On July 18, the two pleaded not guilty. Morse claims

that Jackson had grabbed him "by the testicles," compelling the cop

to hit him.

A review of the video shows no facial expression of the "extreme

pain" that Morse supposedly suffered-offered by Morse and his

partner, Bijan Darvish, in a written report as justification to

superiors-or that the youth "was still attacking" Morse and required

a blow to the head to subdue him. The two cops described the slamming

of the teenager onto the car hood as how they "assisted Jackson to

his feet."

Morse has been the target of five previous brutality complaints, one

of which is "under investigation," according to his bosses.

On July 11, an employee of the U.S. Department of Justice filed suit

in federal court against Morse and two other Inglewood cops for

police abuse for an October incident in her apartment. Patrice Surje

charged the police department and local government had failed to act

on her earlier complaint against the three.

A day earlier, Jackson's family sued the city for the July 6 beating.

It subsequently retained noted attorney Johnny Cochran to pursue its

legal case against the cops and the city.

"It was Donovan [Jackson] today, it was Rodney King yesterday. It's

untold people in the graveyard that cannot speak out and that have

been abused by police and it's time to stop," Tabilah Shakir, a

cousin of the Black teenager, told a news conference announcing the

suit.

Hundreds participated in street protests in the days following the

broadcast of the Crooks video. Demonstrators chanting "no justice, no

peace!" were joined by 1960s civil rights figure Dick Gregory; Martin

Luther King, III, president of the Southern Christian Leadership

Conference; and Rev. Al Sharpton, who is identified with anti-police

brutality protests in New York City.

On July 12, Crooks was seized by Los Angeles cops as he was about to

enter the Hollywood studios of CNN for an interview for failing to

appear to serve a seven-month jail term in Placer County, in northern

California, for a series of minor 1999 convictions. A video of the

arrest showed Crooks crying for help as he was hauled away. He was

briefly hospitalized for minor injuries and released.

Activists here have raised thousands of dollars for Crooks' legal

expenses, and his defense was enthusiastically backed at a rally of

500 in Faith United Methodist Church on July 13. Cong. Maxine Waters

(D-CA), urged donations to fund his legal defense.

The spirited event filled the building, as the crowd spilled into a

parking lot where dozens listened to speeches on a loudspeaker.

Several speakers testified to acts of brutality and violence by

Inglewood police, as well as murders by area killer cops who have

never been subject to a modicum of justice.

The meeting demanded suspension and prosecution of the police

involved in the beating, dropping all changes against Jackson and

Chavis, an independent prosecutor to investigate police brutality,

and civilian review board of police "misconduct." Families of Latinos

killed and beaten by cops also testified. Latino marchers and signs

in Spanish have been present in demonstrations and vigils, as well.

Many of those participating in the protests have first hand knowledge

of how cops here "protect and serve." There were over 50,000

"contacts" between the Inglewood police and local residents in the

past year-nearly half the entire population of the city. Complaints

against the police document a variety of attacks under the heading of

"excessive force." One cop destroyed photo evidence of a beating,

according to the Los Angeles Times. Neither that cop nor the one who

administered the assault was ever prosecuted. The officer accused of

the beating remains on the force, further proof that so-called police

abuse is standard racist operating procedure.

In the media, Robert Barnett, the lawyer for Morse, has

unconditionally defended the cop, who he said would be vindicated by

the video. "I'll be surprised if every pimp and prostitute and robber

that [Morse] arrested doesn't line up hoping to open the wallet of

the city to get money because of this situation," Barnett said. The

attorney praised the policeman. Morse arrested Jackson "without

killing him. He could have shot him," Barnett stated.

Barnett successfully defended Los Angeles cop Theodore Briseno, who

was in the police gang who pounded Rodney King, a Black construction

worker, to a pulp in 1991. The 1992 acquittal of police charged in

that videotaped beating ignited the anti-police riot during which the

forces of law and order unleashed a wave of terror that took over 50

lives and resulted in more than a billion dollars in damages. This

explosive legacy fuels both the widespread outrage here, and the

speed with which government officials have moved to still protests by

ordering a series of investigations.

U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft-momentarily distracted from

shredding the Bill of Rights-dipped a toe into the fray four days

after the Jackson beating, stating that "the events caught on

videotape in Inglewood, Calif., last weekend trouble me greatly,

because they raise clear questions about that law enforcement mission

was being served properly in Inglewood."

Ashcroft dispatched the Department of Justice's top civil rights

attorney to Inglewood to open an investigation. The New York Times

editorially hailed Ashcroft's decision, chiding the Inglewood Police

Department for failing to restrain its cops from engaging in "overly

aggressive tactics."

Many community activists have rebuked traditional Black leaders for

the slowness to move, criticism that has appeared in the mainstream

press and Black community media.

Inglewood mayor Roosevelt Dorn, who is Black, initially urged that

"due process" take its course, then suspended Morse with pay in the

wake of protests, and denounced that such beatings would never again

take place "in my city."

Local Urban League president John Mack told the media "at the end of

the day, some heads must roll."

Heated debate has unfolded in the pages of local newspapers, with

letters to editors polarized between backers of the cops, and those

outraged by the beating of the Black youth.

"Hmmm. Could you please help me in determining whom I should be on

the lookout for-those terrorists with the turbans or the ones with

the badges?" wrote Jeffrey Walker in the Los Angeles Times.

"I was stopped for driving with expired tags and directed to correct

the problem. There was no hassle. I guess 'driving while white' is a

big advantage," Ann Bien wrote the Times from Anaheim.

"I wrote that Officer Jeremy Morse should be fired and prosecuted for

slamming a handcuffed Donovan Jackson onto the trunk and punching him

in the face, and about half of the 300-plus readers who responded

were in agreement," Times columnist Steve Lopez wrote on July 14.

"But the mail from the other side included some of the most vicious

reactions to anything I've written in 27 years at the keyboard."

Lopez provided a sample-"I'll be you make a career about and

defending minority criminals," one e-mail stated. "Look around you in

Inglewood, Compton, and South Central L.A. It is a sewer, filled with

sewage...You are pathetic."

Other articles have described Morse in glowing terms, that he is not

a racist because he has a "Latina" girlfriend and lives in a "mixed

neighborhood." He wanted to an Inglewood cop, a friend told the Los

Angeles Times, "to clean up" the city.

Popular radio station KJLH will broadcast live a Town Hall meeting on

July 20 from Morningside High School in Inglewood. On July 22 the

Southern Christian Leadership Conference will host a public hearing

on police brutality.

Meanwhile, daily protests demanding justice for Donovan Jackson and

prosecution of the thugs in blue continue at Inglewood City Hall.

Hello Mr. Crooks. I am very proud of what you did. It took alot of courage. Being from a small city (200,000 at most), in what is know as the 'Panhandle' area in the state of Florida I constantly get dirty looks and get talked to from whites in a condescending tone on a daily basis. I'm a young, female adult and in this town there a very few blacks, (15% at most). Most of the blacks here are low income and the one that 'have made it' they can be worse that the rasist whites. In ¡°an abundance of caution,¡± a judge Wednesday dismissed 32 potential jurors from the Jeremy Morse retrial after they indicated they saw or were told about a flier relating to the case that was placed on cars in an Airport Courthouse parking lot.

Morse, 26, is a former Inglewood police officer whose rough arrest of a black teenager in July 2002 was caught on videotape. The incident sparked controversy after the footage was broadcast nationwide, prompting allegations of police brutality and racism against the white officer.

The bright yellow fliers that proclaimed Morse ¡°guilty as sin¡± caused Superior Court Judge William Hollingsworth to disqualify more than 150 potential jurors Monday after a placard-wearing activist distributed them outside the courthouse. The activist, Jubilee Shine, was told by a bailiff that the law prohibits any picketing near a courthouse that would influence a jury, and was directed to nearby La Cienega Boulevard. He was not arrested, although violation of the law is a misdemeanor.

On Tuesday, some jurors who went to their cars in a secured lot during the lunch break saw the same fliers. A court bailiff was told about the fliers earlier and had collected as many as he could.

Shine denied in a telephone interview Tuesday that he was involved with handing out the fliers that day.

Jury services officials singled out the 32 panelists who saw the flier or heard about it, and they were ordered to return to court Wednesday.

Another 110 potential jurors filled out questionnaires and will return Jan. 14.

Morse¡¯s attorney, John Barnett, asked Hollingsworth on Wednesday to dismiss all 142 panelists.

¡°We don¡¯t have any way of knowing how much pollution this may have caused,¡± Barnett said.

¡°It is important that this trial be held with jurors about whom it could not be said later: ¡®Well, they were tainted.¡¯ ¡±

Prosecutors agreed the 32 panelists should be disqualified but asked that the 110 others be allowed to continue in the selection process.

For curiosity¡¯s sake, Hollingsworth asked the 32 to indicate by a show of hands how many of them had read the flier.

Almost all of them raised their hands.

He also asked how many believed they would be influenced by its contents, and about four responded.

None of them said they saw the person who distributed the flier.

The flier featured a newspaper article about Morse¡¯s DUI arrest in El Segundo over the Thanksgiving weekend and a still photo taken from the videotape with a caption that states the teen, Donovan Jackson, was not resisting or breaking any laws.

This will be the second trial for Morse on the assault under the color of authority charge.

The videotape shows Morse lifting the limp and handcuffed Jackson off the ground at a service station and slamming him onto the trunk of a patrol car before punching him in the face.

Morse contends the force was justified because Jackson was resisting and grabbed his groin, while the prosecution alleges the learning disabled boy was unconscious.

A jury deadlocked 7-5 on a verdict in July. The same jury acquitted Morse¡¯s former partner, Bijan Darvish, of writing a false report about the incident. Darvish remains on the force.

series of threatening letters sent to candidates seeking to replace District

Attorney Steve Cooley, some of which contained powder.Some of the 18 rambling

letters were also sent to businesses in Beverly Hills and to a downtown county

courthouse, said U.S. Postal Inspector Mike McCarthy.The FBI said tests of the

letters, all of which came from states in the Northeast, did not find any

hazardous materials.Head Deputy District Attorney Tom Higgins said he received a

letter saying "drop out of the race or you're a dead man." Higgins, who has

filed paperwork needed to run for Cooley's position, said the letter contained

yellow powder and came from Cooley backers.Former City Councilman Nick Pacheco

said he also received a letter with powder in the envelope, which said that if

he valued his life, he would not run against the district attorney.Pacheco, who

has not yet filed paperwork, said: "I don't have any reason to believe that

Cooley had anything to do with this."Cooley's campaign chief John Shallman said

responding to the letters is a "top priority.""Whether the letters are a hoax,

political tricksterism or real threats, we hope and expect that the federal

authorities will apprehend the perpetrators and prosecute them to the fullest

extent of the law," he said.

of tests performed on them, I was absolutely shocked at the press-release that

the FBI put out due to the glaring misnomers it was peopled with, so much so,

that, at first, I thought they were speaking of a different case altogether.

I counted no less than four major misstatements in the account given to the

press that I could only chalk up to gross incompetence before I came across a

more sinister motive.

The first statement in the LA Times version of the story, said of the

letters, “Some were threatening, others weren’t.” They all were threatening

letters. Some, like the ones sent to the candidates for DA, were stern warnings

to drop out of the race under penalty of life and limb; others, like the ones

sent to all the businesses, were outright pronouncements by the terrorists of

their impending doom.

The second statement said of the letters that only, “some of which had

powders.” Once again, just as they were laden with death threats, they all were

laced with powder meant to inflict psychological and physical harm.

The third statement was when the postal inspector Mike McCarthy called the

letters, “cryptic and rambling.” That was another blatant falsehood. There was

nothing cryptic or rambling about the letters. The fact is the mailers and

their dealings with all the businesses they sent these correspondences to, have

been well known to the authorities from a similar incident in May (and, of

course, much longer to the crooked cops and elected officials who were in

cahoots with them), and the statements made in these missives, as you soon will

see, were simple, blunt, unambiguous threats, quite chilling to those on the

receiving end thereof I can imagine.

Lastly, and most egregious of all, was the declaration, “The FBI said tests

of the letters…did not find any hazardous materials.” THAT was the biggest lie

of all as there was not only one but three hazardous substances coating each

letter.

The first substance that coated the letters was potassium ferricyanide.

Since when does a substance containing cyanide pass for non-hazardous?

The second substance was barium carbonate. Used in making rat poison, it

comes in the form of a fine white powder and can gravely affect the heart and

nervous system if ingested or inhaled. In terms of the risks involved in

transporting it, the UN hazard code rates it in the Group II (medium danger)

category. In other words, it most definitely is a hazardous substance.

The last substance these letters were laced with was a substance called zinc

phosphide, which emits deadly phosphine gas when combined with heat or water. A

company called Bell Labs puts out a zinc phosphide powder for pest control so

lethal, a paltry one fifth gallon can kill every rodent for an entire square

mile, that’s a mere two teaspoons for every 72 square feet! The fact that the

authorities would put out such misinformation, especially when the lion’s share

of the letters were sent to and opened in stores at a time of the year when

they’re the most heavily congested with shoppers is obscenely unconscionable.

Anyone who doubts the toxicity of these substances should view the MSDS

(Material Safety Data Sheets) for each one.

Now ask yourself one simple question: why would law enforcement lie about

these things?

I was to learn the answer most bluntly when I sojourned to the FBI’s main

branch in Los Angeles to find out just how and why such an error could have come

to pass, still thinking it was from a laxity on the part of someone in the

bureau either gathering or releasing information.

When I pulled into the FBI parking area however, and saw Steve Cooley there,

his face empurpled with rage, screaming at the top of his lungs to some agents

gathered about why they put out a press-release at all let alone one that

emphasized the threatening letters sent to his opponents in the DA race, more

red flags went up in my mind than in a May Day parade.

As I went inside the office, the tension there was quite palpable, and, in

short order, I was to learn why the account released to the press was gutted of

so much of its fact, an account apparently not watered down enough for Cooley’s

tastes as evidenced by the tirade he threw in the parking lot over it. It seems

that, when reports of the letters first reached Cooley’s ears, he phoned the

bureau straightway and made the shocking request that the incident be dismissed

altogether as a mere ruse, claiming he didn’t want to cause “undue concern” to

his community over some silly, false terrorist scare. Their nerves frayed from

the everyday run of crime as it was, he reasoned, the people of his county could

ill-afford to hear such disquieting news, particularly when letters threatening

his opponents with death if they ran against him would further erode the

public’s well-being by shaking their faith in his integrity. For the agents

suffering under his wrath, these terrorist mailings couldn’t have come at a

worse time as Cooley was already in a foul mood over the FBI’s refusal to

release information on the wiretapping activities of Anthony Pellicano as well

as their refusal to use the Carnivore net surveillance system to monitor the

online activities of some individuals for him as a “favor,” which prompted him

to storm down to the bureau office to throw a fit a few days earlier.

After witnessing that shocking display in the parking lot and then learning

of Cooley’s outbursts prior, I drove away benumbed at having discovered such a

dark underbelly extant in Los Angeles politics. To be sure, with his blustering

swagger, his marathon use of racist and sexist slurs, and his boasts of how

winning cases give him erections, his reputation for being quite the

rambunctious character was well known to us agents, but seeing him exert such a

vulgar display of power with all the rabid paranoia he could muster in the cause

of keeping knowledge from the public of major terrorist activities in the city

for such a flimsy sham of an excuse as he gave, made me realize that this was

more than just a boor; this was an evil man with something to hide.

Now, you have to ask yourself at this point: since when does a local official

have leave to interject himself in one of the FBI’s criminal investigations to

dictate its tenor and oversee what facts of the case get shared with the press,

especially, when he should be, by rights, its prime suspect as several of the

threatening letters were mailed on his behalf to scare off his political

opponents? Furthermore, why in the hell would the bureau acquiesce to his

demands in such a matter?

A chill ran through me as powerful as the tremors produced in the recent

California earthquakes when it dawned on me what this all meant for it brought

to mind a curious internet posting several months back by a person claiming to

be an FBI agent. Going by the name Cassandra, she wrote an account of a similar

terrorist mailing, like the ones received recently, that was sent to Giorgio

Armani in Beverly Hills this past May 7. Primarily, her account deals with the

activities of a Welsh national and former member of the US intelligence

community who calls himself Gelynglas. Whether for profit or for ideology, he

evidently used his evil genius to put together an impressive money making

operation the proceeds of which benefited a consortium he also forged between

various terrorist groups including the Irish Republican Army and Al-Qaeda as

well as a radical group calling for an independent Wales named the Meibion

Glyndwr. Yes, as hard as it is for our minds to grasp, this Gelynglas

apparently impressed upon these Muslim and non-Muslim groups how such a

symbiotic relationship financed with his expertise could greatly enhance their

collective effectiveness. By all accounts, it was this collusion that was one

of the hidden reasons behind their spectacular successes on Sept 11 as white

non-Muslim operatives supplied by these Celtic groups were able to penetrate the

US infrastructure most incisively. To protect them from the law or exposure,

Gelynglas was able to also use his nefarious knowledge to create an impressive

bulwark of police and legal protection either bought off or blackmailed.

Operating in stores which sold high-priced clothing and jewelry, Gelynglas

created a theft-ring that had cells embedded in no less than seventeen such

establishments. Masterfully recruiting its members from each of the stores’ own

employees, this, coupled with deft computer hacking, enabled the seamless flow

of merchandise out of the stores and onto the streets to be sold without evoking

nary a notice, swelling the terrorists’ coffers thereby. According to

Cassandra, off-duty rogue cops even provided security for some of the sales.

However, like many an institution built on ill-gotten gain, this business

arrangement collapsed

under the weight of its own greed. Slightly before Gulf War II, as Cassandra

reports, the terrorists were smuggling weapons into the US via the Mexican

border that they had gotten from Iraq, including several unmanned drones. The

plan was: should the US attack Iraq, the terrorists in America as well as

terrorists all over the world, both Muslim and non-Muslim, would start

diversionary attacks to divert the coalition’s attention from Saddam to those

other trouble-spots. However, the plan was ill-starred. The Mexican drug

cartels who have a strong presence in southern California, caught wind of these

drones the terrorists had and apparently enticed one or several of the

theft-ring members to betray the location of the entry-point where the drones

would be smuggled into the US so they could be intercepted and modified for use

in flying drugs to and from the border. Consequently, an ambush by the cartel

ensued in Mexico that decimated the ranks of the terrorists and made off with

most of the drones. To further their complete break with Gelynglas and his

associates, James Agnew, Giorgio Armani’s manager and head capo of the ring,

even mailed a letter bomb to the terrorist leadership in hopes of taking them

out. Hence the threatening letter received at Armani’s on May 7 was a

retaliation.

As I stated, Cassandra made the claims that Gelynglas had built a fortress of

legal protection surrounding themselves and, apparently, this extended all the

way to the district attorney for then, as now, Cooley stormed into the FBI’s LA

branch and angrily demanded knowledge of this story be squelched as it received

only a paragraph write-up by the Associated-Press as did this recent string of

mailings. It seems Mr. Cooley knows many bigwigs in the FBI who’ll do favors

for him if need be, which includes threatening agents with their jobs for doing

their job.

When Cassandra’s posting was first brought to the FBI’s attention, I, like

all the other agents, laughingly dismissed it as out-there flummery, like the

plot to a bad Tom Clancy novel. Though there were some puzzling things about

this incident she talks of such as why no evidence tampering charges were filed

against anyone for tearing pages out of the letter sent to Giorgio Armani before

the police arrived, there was no way I could believe any of it until, however,

my eyes were opened by seeing the raw duplicity and sleaze of Steve Cooley

first-hand. Now I’m finding Cassandra’s tale ringing all too true.

I should point out for the record that I have no idea who Cassandra is

although I do have some ideas.

encourage you to ask the authorities just what were those letters laced with,

what the letters said, and other such things they lied about. It will be

amusing to hear their spin if nothing else.

With that said, I still should do all that I can to prove the veracity of my

story. Sadly, Cassandra’s style was too high-flown, and she didn’t provide any

means of corroborating the inside information that she was imparting. Hence,

for that reason, she wasn’t very effective in getting out her message. Not to

make the same mistake, I, unlike her, am providing word for word transcriptions

of nearly all the letters sent by the terrorist. Since I know shorthand, I was

able to transcribe the letters accurately in a short time when left alone with

them. Though I’m taking a great risk to myself professionally and even legally,

I feel that stark measures must be taken for the truth to be known.

Firstly, all the letters were mailed from either Maine or New Hampshire,

which were apparently the places were Gelynglas and his fellow terrorists were

holed-up. The return addresses (all fake of course) make a sardonic allusion to

Richard Ried, the infamous shoe-bomber and were as follows:

The letters were all sent by Gelynglas himself, and, when reading them, one

can clearly see the cold, calculating, quaquaversal, and vulpine intellect of

the man who wrote them as well as engaged in all the diabolical endeavors that

he staged.

Although the emphasis in the news-wire was placed on the letters sent to the

candidates running against Cooley, the lion’s share of the letters were sent to

each capo of the seventeen-cell smuggling-ring who backstabbed the terrorists.

Since they and those under them were responsible for generating the monies

necessary to stage the attacks on September 11, among others, I think it’s only

fitting that the names of the capos and the stores the cells operated in should

be made known to the world. They are as follows:

The letters to these stores were identical in wording save for the name of

the capo it was addressed to. Consider the chilling declaration that Gelynglas

makes in the postscript, a declaration that up till this point has come true,

“Still you (meaning Cassandra) taught us one important thing: that the

partnership I crafted with al-Qa’ida, the IRA, and the Meibion Glyndwr is so

brilliant, it cannot be foiled even if we wanted it to because it is too far

beyond the pea-brained imaginations of your press and your public…I promise you

my dear that when you look into the newspaper the day after their (meaning the

letters) receipt, you’ll be lucky if you see a one-paragraph write-up of these

incidents next to the dog food coupon in its very back-pages; THAT’S what kind

of power we wield. Anyone who raises dissent we can easily whip back into

line.” Also you may want to read the Cassandra posting first to put these

letters in better context.

In any event, here is a verbatim reprint of one of them addressed to a capo

named, fittingly enough, Herbert Fink. I looked up the Welsh phrase he uses to

close the letter and it means, “The death of the guilty is truth.”

I Gelynglas, on behalf of my righteous brethren in al-Qa’ida, the IRA, and

the Meibion Glyndwr, am hereby serving notice to all the scum and villainy that

comprised the smuggling ring, who once served us and then betrayed us. For

every drop of blood my peers shed this past February in Mexico because of your

perfidy, we shall extract tenfold from you and your loved ones. I know Zakir

and his Muslim brothers wanted to spare the loved ones, but, as dear a friend as

he is to me, I have to disagree with him here. My Celtic brothers and I are

just not as warmhearted as those in al-Qa’ida I’m afraid.

You probably think that, because we didn’t come back in May when Zakir said

that we were

that we are now a paper-tiger and that you were rid of us for good. Yes our

wounds were grievous and we had to spend a much greater time regrouping than we

imagined. Now, however, all three are at full strength and we shall be back

with a vengeance!

How insolent it was for you to think you could beat us. We may have taught

you everything you know, but we didn’t teach you everything WE know.

This holiday season, I suggest you and your loved ones shop for coffins

because I can assure you, Santa Clause and his bloody elves we’re not.

P.S. And to that agent who fancies using the name of the famous Greek prophetess

as a pseudonym, and who will doubtlessly be pouring over these letters like the

pages to a Danielle Steele novel, I have this to say: your laughable attempt to

run to the press with the story of the secret consortium you discovered has only

vouchsafed that you’ll share the same grisly fate as those smugglers whom you

sought to expose. As far as I can see, your attempts at bruiting the heavens as

you say only succeeded in posting your tale on that silly website for conspiracy

–theory addicts, the kind of fellows who think the government has put radio

transmitters in their teeth, and THEY don’t even believe you. Really my dear,

do you think apprising the five Bert Gummer-style rednecks who frequent sites

like this is sufficient to warn your countrymen of the likes of my piers and I?

If anything, the people who read your missive are probably at home wiring up

bombs to assail the US government themselves!

You should have done what Steve Cooley told you and kept your mouth shut like

the other agents. Now, I’m afraid you’ll have to die like the swine I’m serving

notice to at these stores. You know, thanks to the excellent surveillance our

men in the LAPD have done on all the agents in your branch, we know more or less

who you are now. True, you’re little more than a gnat to us, but we have to

kill you on principle. After what happened to us in Mexico we have to make an

example of someone to send a strong message to all the other upstarts out there

be they constables, barristers, journalists, or flunkies.

Still, you taught us one important thing: that the partnership I crafted with

very back pages; THAT’S what kind of power we wield. Anyone who dissents we can

easily whip back into line.

You seem like a lady who wants to do well by the world, but you can’t do

right when you’re on the wrong side you see. The fact is the imperialist

tyranny of the US and the UK will die by the same sword it has lived by. I must

also say ‘tis a pity that your good faith in the things you believe in, i.e. the

American people, has been betrayed. Far from bruiting the heavens, you nary

made a sound for the consciousness of the American public is as empty space, AND

IN SPACE NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM!



The next letter I’ve reprinted here is one that was written to an inmate in

the Los Angeles County Jail System. His name is Juan Pablo Salazar-Diaz inmate

#7792399 also known as Jesus Lopez, and apparently he was one of the lackeys who

betrayed the location to the drug cartel of the entry point where the terrorists

were going to ship their drones into the US from Mexico.

Dear Mr. Lopez,

Make out your will you bloody spic for you’ll be dead soon. We know you were

the smuggling-ring lackey that betrayed our location to the cartel in Mexico.

We’re coming back to town soon and shall kill all who wronged us. Don’t think

you’re safe just because you’re in jail. When we get done torturing you, you’d

rather a 1000 dicks by your prison buddies were reaming your arse all at once

for it would seem the less painful of the two deaths.

As was stated earlier, Gelynglas used his acumen to create quite a protection

racket around their illegal enterprise. The following are two letters sent to

judges Deanne Smith Myers and Eldon Fox that helped to comprise it. Evidently,

he learned that they were experiencing pangs of guilt about what they had done

and both wanted to step down from theirs posts and even confess their complicity

in the terrorists’ doings, but Gelynglas would have none of it, reminding them

of why they were forced to do his bidding in the first place. Note in

particular the heinous crimes he cites which he blackmailed them with.

Dear Judge Myers,

My sources in Los Angeles have been telling me that you and a few other

judges want to step down from office because of the pangs of guilt you feel for

putting your judicial power at the disposal of the smuggling-ring we once

caudled. I hear some of you even want to confess your sins! That’s not wise.

My peers and I are returning to your city soon and we will suffer no dissention

in the ranks. Is a clear conscience worth being either brutally killed by us or

a life sentence at the hands of your own legal system? How lenient do you think

the law will be when they’ve found out you helped to support terrorism? Let’s

also not forget why you were forced to work for us in the first place: that

footage of you killing those children in the hit and run accident remember? No

my girl, you’re staying in office where you belong. Even though we’re putting

paid to all the idiots in the smuggling-ring we once had, we still want our

legal protection in place should we start operations anew.

The next letter is one written to Ted Gunderson, a retired FBI agent who

lives in Nevada who investigates government conspiracy and corruption.

Apparently, he was poking a tad bit too close around Steve Cooley’s doings for

Gelynglas’es comfort.

Dear Mr. Gunderson,

We hear you’ve been poking around in business to make our man Steve Cooley

look bad. If you value what little of a life you have left you stupid old man,

you’ll steer far and wide from this business unless you’d like an enema of

boiling lead serviced to your arse. You’re a little too old to be running about

like you’re that bloody Fox Moulder on TV. That is fiction; this is real life.

In real life the heroes are those who fight the imperialist cunts like the US or

the UK, those whose greatest weapon is their heart. I suggest you pay a visit

to that Dr. Kevorkian fellow.

This is a letter to the western branch of Judicial Watch, a watchdog

organization that monitors judicial impropriety. Apparently they were poking

too close around Cooley’s business as well.

To the fools at Judicialwatch.org,

If you value your lives, you’ll declare a moratorium on investigations

concerning cases in Los Angeles County. You’re soiling the name of our man

Steve Cooley and we don’t like that. If you want to focus on legal injustice,

focus on the injustices done to the Welsh in Wales, the Irish Catholics in

Northern Ireland, and Bush’es tyranny in Iraq and Afghanistan not to mention the

oppression in Palestine.

Unfortunately, the last group of letters was one I was not able to make

accurate transcriptions of and those were the ones sent to the candidates for

the position of district attorney, as I was never alone with them long enough

even writing in shorthand. Fortunately, I did thoroughly read them, and can at

least paraphrase what they said. The first three written to the male

candidates: Tom Higgins, Nick Pacheco, and Roger Carrick, were all worded

exactly the same save for the different names they were addressed to. They

start by saying how unwise it is to run for DA against Cooley; how he was the

man who looked out for the interests of Gelynglas’es “consortium;” how his

“special interest group,” unlike most such groups, “can throw more than money at

a problem if you get my drift.” He also talked of how the candidates could find

themselves in the crosshairs of a sniper’s rifle at any given moment if they

chose to run for office and on and on.

The only letter that differed in content, was the one written to the only

female candidate Denise Moehlman. Hers was filled with the most scurrilous,

sexist language one could possibly imagine. Gelynglas baits Ms Moehlman by

stating that her bid for district attorney was just a pretext to avoid dealing

with the problem of her sexual frigidity, and suggested that since “she makes

the salary of a barrister,” she was “well-heeled enough” to afford a

well-endowed Chippendale dancer to “ream out her arse and cwm.” Meaning valley

in Welsh, cwm is also the vulgar slang term for the vagina.

For a word for word transcription of these particular letters, I’d suggest

you ask the candidates themselves that have an email address (as I doubt you’ll

get a straight answer from the FBI, LAPD, the DA’s office or anyone else).
