New Report Finds No WMD In Iraq

by Todd Davis Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at 3:12 AM
neoxz34@hotmail.com http://www.msnusers.com/globalperspectivesandinternationalforum

An article about the Carnegie WMD Report, Operation Rockingham, and the OSP.

A newly released report by the Carnegie Endowment For International Peace called, WMD In Iraq: Evidence and Implications, has concluded that there were no WMD in Iraq prior to the US invasion in 2003. The entire premise for the invasion, in regard to the

WMD, was a complete fabrication, and there were also errors made by the CIA, in regard to its intelligence gathering process.

The WMD Report quoted former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook who observed that in regard to both the US, and the UK that: “I think it would be fair to say there was a selection of evidence to support a conclusion. I fear we got into a position in which the intelligence was not being used to inform and shape policy, but to shape policy that was already settled.”

In regard to Iraqi nuclear weapons the WMD Report noted that David Kay had found that: “[W]e have not uncovered evidence that Iraq undertook significant post-1998 steps to actually build nuclear weapons or produce fissile material.” The Carnegie

Report also found that Iraq did not have any chemical or biological weapons in 2002,

as the Bush Administration had indicated.

The Carnegie Report also found that the connection between Iraq, and al Qaeda was

virtually nonexistent. Secretary of State Colin Powell said that: “I have not seen [a] smoking gun, concrete evidence about the connection….”

The tangled web of lies, and fabrication went much further. Michael Meacher observed in the Guardian, that David Kelly, just prior to his death, had indicated that there was a secret operation known as Operation Rockingham, which was utilized to fabricate

WMD data, in both the UK, and the US.

Former UN Weapons inspector Scott Ritter detailed the activities of the Rockingham research group in the Scottish Sunday Herald. According to Ritter: "Britain and America were involved [in the 1990s and up to 2003] in a programme of joint exploitation of intelligence from Iraqi defectors. There were mountains of information coming from these defectors, and Rockingham staff were receiving it and then selectively culling [picking out] reports that sustained the [WMD] claims. They ignored the vast majority of the data which mitigated against such claims."

Rumsfeld also setup a similar operation in the US called the Office of Special Plans. Both

Operation Rockingham, and the Office of Special Plans were involved in a coordinated

conspiracy to fabricate data in regard to creating the appearance of the existence of a WMD program in Iraq.

The OSP was used by the DOD to circumvent the normal intelligence gathering process at the CIA, and was created to justify the neocon agenda for the war in Iraq. Julian Borger noted in the Guardian that: “the Office of Special Plans (OSP), was set up by the defence secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, to second-guess CIA information and operated under the patronage of hardline conservatives in the top rungs of the administration, the Pentagon and at the White House, including Vice-President Dick Cheney."

In case the CIA found anything that would have not have indicated the existence of the WMD, in Iraq. The OSP, and Operation Rockingham were used to fabricate, and marginalize US, and UK intelligence operations, in order to deceive, both the US Congress, and the American people, into believing that the war in Iraq was necessary to preserve national security.

Some things I don't get

by Diztractor Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at 3:32 AM

If the US was willing to lie about WMD's -- when did it find religion and decide not to plant the WMD's?

Why were people willing to give the UN inspectors till the end of the world to do its inspections -- with the supposed cooperation of the ruling regmie -- but won't wait even a year for the US?

If there were no WMD's in Iraq, why didn't Iraq comply with the UN resolutions? Hans Blix acknowledged that the Iraqi declaration was incomplete and misleading.

Also, why did the Iraqi's have hidden weapons labs, as David Kay's report indicates? These labs were not shown to Blix. Why not?

With respect to the lack of evidence connecting Iraq to al Queda, it appears that the authors are not aware of the terrorist training camp at Salmon Pak. At this location, the Iraqis maintained a Boeing 777 air frame, where terrorists were trained to highjack planes.

The Salmon Pak training camp has been largely ignored by the mainstream media, but the folks at Carnegie should have picked it up.

It's a good thing I do research

download PDF (4.7 mebibytes)

the "hidden weapons lab" was a small cinder block building with a trace of rat poison found in it

the "terrorist training compound" is a complete farce !

Both of these are 2 of the approx 50 lies our government made up to "sell" us the war.

I just read the complete details on it a few days ago as a large PDF

After doing some research myself (which I downloaded from a cloaked server as a large bunary encrypted file) I uncovered some interesting info.

Turns out we HAVE found massive WMD.

They are called male islamists (not all muslims for you crybabies..just violent fanatics) aged 17 to 40.

The place is lousy with 'em.

WMD ..... in America

WMD ..... in America...
nukespercountry.gif, image/png, 475x144

In 1993, the world signed an agreement to stop chemical weapons. America made a pleasure to accuse Russia which secretly continued to develop chemical weapons. When actualy, the US were also continuing the chemical weapons programs at an even larger scale... and testing the effects on their own soldiers.

and it s starting again!

Pentagon Initiates New Research into Prohibited Chemical Weapons

Austin and Hamburg (9 September 2003) - Recently unearthed US government documents reveal new information on illicit US chemical weapons research. The US Marine Corps program on so-called "non-lethal" chemicals has inked new deals for prohibited weapons. The contracts include development of a new kind of rocket propelled grenade that began at the end of 2002, only weeks after the Moscow Theater disaster. Also last year, a senior US Army toxicologist investigated tacrine, a close cousin of several nerve gases, as a candidate "non-lethal" chemical weapons payload.

The Marine Corps contracts were granted by the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD) in November and December 2002. Both are with AgentAI, a small company based in Victorville, California. One contract is for development of a new kind of rocket propelled grenade (RPG) to be fired from the US Army's standard M-203 grenade launcher. The chemical grenade is being designed for a 500 meter range. The RPG is designed to strike a person (or perhaps near a person) and then to disperse "chemical agents that can further incapacitate or maintain the incapacitation of the targeted individual". The company plans testing on a "simulated human target" under the current contract. The second JNLWD contract with AgentAI calls for development of "non-lethal" bullets that release a chemical payload upon striking a target. (Summaries of these contracts are available here.)

Another document (available here) reveals the interest of a senior US Army toxicologist in tacrine, a drug used to treat Alzheimer's Disease. The Army is not interested in the drug, however, for helping disease victims. Rather, it is assessing use of tacrine as a weapon. In February 2002, at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, the toxicologist ordered a literature review on its potential for weaponization. Chemically, tacrine is a acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, a first cousin of the nerve gases sarin, tabun, and VX (among others).

The discovery that the Army is investigating close relatives of extremely lethal nerve gases as "non-lethal" weapons heightens concerns previously raised that the Army's "non-lethal" chemical weapons program is practically indistinguishable from one with a fully lethal intent. The Army's interest in tacrine should draw particular scrutiny from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and governments who are members of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

In September 2002, the Sunshine Project presented extensive documentation proving the illicit US chemical warfare program (US Operates Secret Chemical Weapons Program). Since then, a variety of additional details about the program have been unravelled, most recently a US patent on a grenade designed to deliver biological weapons (US Army Patents Biological Weapons Delivery System) and a 1997 research paper from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, CA) on the use of chemical incapacitants, including use of opiates in scenarios similar to that which resulted in the Moscow Theater tragedy (See the Sunshine Project's JNLWD Document Clearinghouse).

The Sunshine Project's Freedom of Information Fund is filing a series of requests with the Pentagon to bring further information about this research into public view.

Why doesn't the US plant wmds?

by Meyer London Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at 6:39 PM

The explanation has nothing to do with honor or integrity. It is simply that such evidence would have to be turned over to the UN to be deemed credible, and then scientists with international reputations would quickly see if the weapons could not have been made in Iraq. That would be an even bigger humiliation for the United States than the Soviet shoot-down of Gary Powers' U-2, and their public showing of the pilot after the US claimed that a harmless weather plane had been shot down.

Why? Because we've found tons of them.

They are called male Islamists, aged 17 - 40.

Turns out these filthy bastards have spread throughout the civilized world and have been used in numerous attacks against anyone who isn't willing to convert to fundamentalist Islam.

The good news is that we're finally killing piles of them.

in regards to the enemy

by Sheepdog Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 at 11:20 PM

"The good news is that we're finally killing piles of them."

This is what we're dealing with on a humanitarian level regardless of facts concerning history ( particularly the CIA's involvement at crushing any kind of democracy in these countries) or even the basic concept of what all the major religions of the world say about treatment of fellow humans.
