Hey... remember Afghanistan?! The place we liberated in order to bring freedom to the suffering women in burka?! Well, here's the fruit of our bombing, straffing, murder, and occupation. Miss Afghanistan!

Ah! Liberation! This photo shows 25-year-old Miss Afghanistan, Vida Samadzai, parading after she received a 'Beauty for a cause' award for her dedication and self-sacrifice as a founder of an Afghan women's rights organization, during a 'Miss Earth beauty' pageant in Manila, November 9, 2003. Never mind the name of the 'Women's rights' group, what it's politics are, where their offices are located, or how many members are in the group... just know that the Beautiful Samadzai founded the group. Also, forget that Miss Afghanistan lied when she said the Afghan government sanctioned her participating in the contest... they didn't, in fact, the new hand picked U.S. puppet regime in Kabul dennounced Miss Afghanistan. The Afghan Supreme Court on October 29, 2003 condemned Samadzai saying such a display of the female body goes against Islamic law and Afghan culture.
And what's this "Beauty for a cause" b.s.? WHAT CAUSE?! The 'cause' of imperialism? Or is that the 'cause' of women's rights? Yes, from burka to bikini... one oppression to the next! (Photo - REUTERS/Romeo Ranoco)

Are you happy that her life is threatened by the enlightened Afghan Islamists? No one forced her to join this pageant, but they sure as hell would have forced her to wear a burka. One form of oppression to another, my ass.

You don't see anything sexist in beauty pageants, eh? Shows we have a long way to go in this country. Suppose she had sold herself to the Emir of Kuwait for his harem? Maybe you wouldn't see anything wrong with that, either. Of course, some extremists think that there should be no forced burka wearing, no harems, and no beauty pagents, either.

Thank heavens, we DO have a long way to go in this country before we can attain perfect enlightenment, as exhibited by you, you smarmy asshole. You think beauty pageants are sexist? Don't watch. If women want to do it, or even sell themselves to the Sultan of Swat, what business is it of yours? (Oh, and I'm sure it happens all the time.) I guess it could be worse. She could have been Palestinian, then you would have been baying for her blood, as well as the Morality Squad. I hope this poor lady has the sense to not go back to Kabul.

What happened to a womans ight to do what she wants to her body. We CAN tell a woman she has no right to be in a beauty contest, but we CANNOT tell a woman she no right to an abortion, is this a double standard in the name of womans lib.

Oh the asses are really digging deep this time. It's actually come to condemning an Afgani woman for entering a beauty contest as some sort of ridiculous statement against our military actions.
This is lunacy.
But this is very funny.

Somehow, the expression of an opinion that beauty pageants are sexist, exploitative , and anachronistic in the 21st century (remember, fellows, this is not 1955 anymore) gets distorted into an expression of authoritarianism. Notice how one of the anti-authoritarians thinks it is ok for people to sell themselves into slavery. Maybe he thinks this is not 1955 but 1855. Jefferson Davis would warmly applaud his arguments.

No, they don't Meyer. Dimwits like YOU never do.
Any woman has the right to enter a beauty contest if she desires. It doesn't matter whether you like it or not. The sooner you acknowledge that a woman has the right to enter into a beauty contest, the sooner you start to look even less a fool than you already are.

I think that beauty contests are sexist and anachronistic. Therefore, I also think that a woman has no legal right to take part in one of these contests, by your reasoning. This is one more example of the decline in basic reasoning skills in the United States - caused by the disintegrating public school systems, hours of watching moronic television shows, heavy alcohol intake, and brainwashing by Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Michael lReagan and their cohorts.

If you think that women have a right to take part, then what's your problem? If you think beauty contests are sexist and anachronistic, that's your opinion, but keep it to yourself unless someone specifically asks your opinion. I have yet to see anyone ask your opinion on anything, yet you continually blab off like anyone actually cares what you think. If we want your opinion on any subject here at LA-IMC, we'll ask. Other that that, just shut up. Can you figure that out? Doubtful. Why don't you get it? Dimwits like YOU never do.

Here it is: You really need to take your medication, as the doctor recommends. The doctor is not part of a Martian/Illuminati/Masonic conspiracy to take over the world.

No one asked for your opinion. Until it is asked of you, keep your trap shit. No one cares what your opinion is.
