THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT-- SHERMAN WAS TRANSFERRED TODAY
The prison was overwhelmed with phone calls, letters, e-mails, and faxes. I've also been working with Maria Stratton (head supervisor at the FPD office) trying to expedite Sherman's transfer. Pressure was applied from all sides.
I visited Sherman yesterday and he said that prison officials interviewed him earlier that day regarding threats. They asked him if there was anything that they could do for him. Sherman replied, "Transfer me out of here." Prison officials commented on the overwhelming amount of support that Sherman was receiving--they seemed surprised that he had such a large and diverse support group on the outside. They asked Sherman questions about the web site raisethefist.com and asked him about threats posted to the site. Although I question the intent of the BOP, I am trying to remain positive--We are hoping for Lompoc.
I don't know where they transferred him--I will post as soon as I find out AND I will continue to put the pressure on the Marshall and Federal Public Defenders office until I locate Sherman.
Thanks to all of you for your phone calls, letters, faxes, and e-mails. Your strength and diligence are what keeps me going.
If you sent mail to the San Bernardino address it will be returned—I encourage you to call the prison and request that the prison return your letter ASAP. In the mean time please send letters to:

The response letter to Feinstein is almost finished. We are planning a mass mailing campaign to Feinstein, Ashcroft, Judge Wilson, FPD office, and various officials. I will collect Feinstein letters and personally deliver. The letter should be posted by tomorrow.
I plan on spending the day calling attorneys—Sherman wants to withdraw the plea. I have one attorney who is interested in reviewing the case (his fee is $10,000 to review) and many more to contact. I have a three page list of interested legal and media people that I need to contact. Sherman sends his love to all of you.
Best, JMR
