A Zapatista Reading List
&
I definitely recommend Garcia Lorca as well. He has written some very powerful stuff! Always try to find the Spanish version if possible as the traslation loses so much. I have a book with the original Spanish and its English translation on the facing page given to me by my cousin. That is a good way to go too. If anyone is interested, I will dig that out and try to get publisher info and such. A little less political, but another great Latin writer is Alfonsina Storni, though hard to come by in the English speaking world.
