Joseph Turner, a Southern California white nationalist and leader of the anti-immigrant group Save Our State, is asking San Bernardino voters to choose him to guide the education of San Bernardino children in the Board of Education race there. On October 7, this aspiring educator sent an apocalyptic, white supremacist message to his Save Our State supporters:

Our enemies are bloodied and beaten. We cannot relent. Our boot is on their throat and we must have the willingness to crush their "throat" so that we can put our enemy down for good.

The sovereignty of our nation and the future of our culture and civilization is at stake. The United States is a beacon of salvation unto the rest of the world. Our freedoms, our culture is mans salvation. If we perish, man perishes.

Jim Gilchrist, leader of the anti-immigrant group, the Minutemen, has written a book and is on a book signing tour. A book signing is scheduled at Borders Books in Thousand Oaks on Sept. 25. Immigrants rights activists are urging people to call the book store and ask them not to host a book signing of a book alleged to portray a racist view of immigrants. A protest both outside and inside the store is planned if the event is not canceled. From the Newswire:

Everyone will have to register their nationality with the government. No one will be exempt. People of certain nationalities will be targeted for removal. Those who look like they might be from those nations will be marked as suspects, constantly subject to harassment, official and unofficial.

Certain people, based on their nationality, will not be allowed to work. They will not be allowed to live in this place. They will be denied access to hospitals, to doctors. They will not be allowed to purchase medicine or food. Their children will be driven from the schools.

Every store clerk will become a race cop, compelled by law to check the papers of every customer they find “suspect.” Everyone who isn’t white will be challenged at the point of sale for any commodity they might need or want. The official language will be English: only. Those who try to shelter, clothe, feed, or give gainful employment or medical assistance to the targeted population will be punished.

According to the LA Times, when the law passed, white citizens burst into applause. The Times reported the reaction of one white woman to the news: "The only ones who are against it are the Hispanics," she said, "and that's because it's against them." ...

While Save Our State and the Minutemen have seemingly been enjoying an upswing in momentum lately certain factors have become apparent that may point to a change. Following the July 8th police beatings of anti-Minutemen protestors and the subsequent giddy elation displayed by the Minutemen and SOS in the face of such violence, certain factors have come into play which highlight the authoritarian nature of Save Our State and the fact that some of the rank-and-file may get burned by the leadership very soon.
