Los Angeles, CA: EvoTease, a dance charity festival, taking place on Nov. 10th -12th across Los Angeles, has grown once again adding another helping of eager Los Angeles dance talent. The Festival now promises 8 Immersive Shows in 3 Days, with each day at a different Historical Los Angeles location (either in DTLA or Hollywood) as well as benefitting a different charity organization. The festival has attracted a wealth of performers from Canada, Germany, Australia, Germany and Japan; adding to the already 70+ local Los Angeles talent, who will be embodying the history of dance across a 2 Century Spiritual Timeline. From 1927’s Prohibition Era Speakeasies to 2127’s Neo-Future Show it’s proving to be a weekend unlike any other!

EvoTease Charity Festival was founded at the turn of last year. Founder/Showrunner, Daniel Sliwa, was immensely distressed by the state of global affairs and decided that now it was time to invest in his dream: a massive unity charity show. Being a prominent member in the various nightlife/dance communities, Daniel reached out to all the performers he knew, in the area and internationally, only expecting a handful of performers to join. What had happened: almost all unanimously agreed to assist with this venture. The dream of a single charity show night blew up into the now 8 Immersive Shows in 3 Days, across 3 Venues with proceeds going to More Than No, Pin-Ups on Tour, and Open Floor Dance Society.

These groups, respectfully, providing entertainment as well as support to Sexual Assault Survivors, Veterans and underprivileged Youth. With the support of numerous Los Angeles communities, Daniel and his team are hard at work to craft 8 wildly different, yet all immersive, dance shows. Daniel invested almost all of his savings, waiving any investment recoupment in order to offset expenses and to fundraise, as large numbers as possible, in order to give back to the organizations and pay the performers above average rates- As sadly this isn’t always the case.

To make the Festival even more special it was decided to dive into the History (and Future) of Los Angeles Performing Arts. Each show embodying a different decade and different form of performance art and culture. Friday will be taking place at Enox Event Space in DTLA with 2 shows, Saturday at Cinematic Pictures Group in Hollywood with 3 shows and Sunday, closing the weekend, at The Majestic in DTLA with 3 shows. Whether you’re a fan of: burlesque, bellydance, contemporary, vintage, poledance, performance art, live jazz, there’s a bit of everything and more for everyone to join, as long as you’re 21+.
